I just only started to watch the video and had to stop to come here in the comments section and let you know that I just bought a 8bitdo that absolutely works on iOS, it actually pairs with my old 2017 iPad. Just so you know. It's a shame you didn't talk about this controller.. it's a really nice one, specially for travellers.
I play a lot of Genshin Impact on my iPad Pro, the 8Bitdo Sn30 Pro+ and the N30 Pro2 both pair relatively easily in X mode. But there was a time I had to set them up in Switch control in the settings. That said I have had issues with drift on the N30 Pros. And had some issues with negative edge and button sticking on the Sn30 Pros. I may give the Xbox Series X controller a try though, I have that style of controller on my PC, and it feels really good in hand.
I bought the Steelseries Nimbus because it was made specifically for Mac and iOS. I haven’t been overly impressed by it. Maybe PS5 controller is the way to go if it is compatible with all Mac and iOS games.
Interesting - My SN30 Pro is no longer working with my 2020 iPad Pro on 15.2 (15.1 didn’t work either). Might have to reflash the firmware but you can’t do that on ipad :/
@@GentMAB Start + A (MacOS) used to be how I did it, but I’ve tried Start + X (X input) as well and no luck. I’ve noticed that the green lights on the bottom indicating controller mode are not flashing.. so I think I have a broken unit or need to flash its software, hopefully just a bug? My iPad can’t even detect that controller as a device.
Gaming on an IPad Pro is trash because, there is no way to activate the gyroscope or accelerometer while playing with a controller. Unlike IPhone with controller mounts. Correct me if I’m wrong.
How is response time, I saw some gameplay videos with PS 5 controller on iPad pro M1, I observed the response was not quick. Please suggest. Is a Bluetooth controller worth buying or Wired controller with Hub connection (thunderbolt)
@@tylerhouston9746 i have a better way, if you want different controls for different games. Settings>General>game controllers>new profile then create a profile with the changed controls, add the controller to that profile, then add which games the profile with different controllers will work on, this way you can change the colour of the controllers light and haptic feedback if youre using a dualsense
Switch controllers now work on iPads in iOS 16. Just updated my OS. I have the Pro 2018 version. Only drawback for me right now is in Genshin Impact the game seems to think the controllers and XBOX, so the key layout is a bit weird (but not hindering)
Bro the first ten second are beautiful I can’t explain why but the ps4 controller and the iPad have a natural beauty to them
When the video started my eyes were immediately drawn to that cute yellow controller! 😂

Accessibility, create switches, create a recipe. Play game. You can use a keyboard and mouse this way too.
