  • Electric vehicles, or EVs for short, are taking the world and Malaysia by storm. It wasn’t too long ago that you would spot one once in a blue moon but nowadays spotting an EV could very well happen on the daily commute to work. Everyday.
However, there’s still the idea that EVs are priced far out of reach for the average Joe or Jane. Enter the ORA GOOD CAT. With prices starting at under RM140k, could this very well be a true blue example of “the people’s EV”?
Let Greg take you on a drive in the 2023 ORA GOOD CAT to find out!

Its kinda sad because alot of people that want to buy ev's are the people that live in high rise building's and cant install a charger because of the management.
so they need to rely on public charging which is hard because between normal cars and phev hogging the spot there is also times charger's charge slower than expected or the charger dont work.
But for those who live in landed then no problem. I just hope someday we can import thai tesla here because their prices seem better by alot

Seriously, is Haval's after-sales network even capable of supporting an EV car only Haval can service?
That's the new reality with EV cars - you can't take it to anywhere else to fix, you will be completely dependent on the distributor even after your warranty expires.

Passed by the city, saw an atto3, a few bmw ix a few ioniq5's and a tesla model3. If you are stuck in a jam for an hour+ to 2 going from 1 side of the city to the other i wouldn't be in anything else.
But as far as hybrid range extenders go honda ehev, nissan e power(not in Malaysia) where the engine powers the motor instead of the wheels kinda like those old school pasar malam generators but on a different scale its pretty ok,
idk if toyota Corolla cross counts because that 1.8 is so underpowered and efficient.
Aside from that there is phev's which are heavy and unless you are the typical retired uncle/aunt that drives nearby to tapao from shops and pasar i still dont know if its reliable enough.

I followed behind a Good Car at night, the missing rear light on both side of the car (like other normal cars) is something I'm uncomfortable with. I quickly move aside to other lane. Uncomfortable bcos I feel it's dangerous for me to follow as I am unused to not seeing the rear light at the usual place even though it has a long light bar at rear screen. Try it yourself to follow behind one & you will udrstd my weird feeling.

i really like this car the looks it's beautiful but unfortunately there's only one dislike for me is the entertainment system is pretty terrible but at least it has apple carplay and android auto as standard i think the byd atto 3 is much better in all aspects so i recommended the atto 3 than this

Atto 3 is really growing on me. Great value car if you want something a bit bigger than good cat, esp better rear seats

For 100k for a china ev car like Ora, i wont even bother to look at it..cos the specification, design and hardware. One word DISAPPOINTED. Why? Imagine how advance the technology nowaday especially China, they could do much more better than this Ora look.....and there are plenty brand choices for ppl to choose other than Ora with that price range. If ppl can afford 150k above for an EV car such like Ora, they could just add on some more for better EV.

guys are you kidding me? this small electric car is so fking expansive in malaysia only why i dont know. first of all look to the design first from back its so ugly sign i never seen before second one the Infront of the car also old fashion design and u told me this car is about 130 or 140 or 160 OMG that's ridiculous and you forget that car is made in china 6 years will die . this car at least can be the price is about 60 to 80k no more than that but the problem is about the car marketing in malaysia some of companies that they import cars from out so cheap and sell the car in malaysia so high without any experience of services and maintenance also. 140 hahah that's ridiculous
