I bought the Kizer Banish just to bump myself up over the free-shipping threshold when I bought another knife. Turns out the Banish is one of my favorite purchases this year. It’s everything you described. Fun and ultra functional as a fifth pocket knife I can take anywhere. Love it.
All nice knives! I have the Sonic Hedgehog! Lol! Great knife!!
I have all of them, with multiple versions of the Bowie, the black micarta Hedgehog, and I ordered the blue aluminum version from White Mountain Knives. I love a good button lock, and all of these are great knives.
Which is your favorite?
@@evile1174 Action and fidget factor, the Pyrite. I'm at 14 different versions since the original one came out. As far as usage, the Hedgehog fits my hand better and I can use it all day long with no issues. I had no plans on getting the Banish due to it's tiny size, but after buying on sale, I regret not buying it sooner. I hope they make an XL version of it, like the QSP Variant PE, but with the button lock.
The wharncliffe Corgi isn't bad, but I'm on my second one after the first one arrived with a chip in the blade. The QSP would be great, but mine has some annoying button stick.
Thank brother, I've lost my PT Malibu so I'm looking for a budget button lock to hold me over till I can replace it and this was super helpful
My friend has a Remette he’s not a fan of that’s actually a button lock liner (regular, not top). I didn’t even know Remette made something like that. (The reason he doesn’t like it is the button is a little wobbly. Might be a function of the way the plunge is designed to reach across to move the liner. I have yet to investigate).
I have 2 of the 5 (Banish and Hedgehog).
I don't carry the Banish often, I bought it for when I have to go into Chicago which has a 2.5" blade restriction and don't go there often. I also have a Spyderco Lil' Native and CJRB Mica that it shares time with. That being said, it's hard to beat for the price. I'd put it even with the Mica, with maybe a slight edge to the Mica because it's more fidget friendly.
The Hedgehog I just got in last week (I got the blue one) and it has taken over as my preferred EDC knife. Love the blade, the action, the look.
The hedgehog has been one of my favorite pickups this year as well!
I def need a hedgehog and bowie pyrite
Can't go wrong with either! What I really want is a titanium version of the hedgehog and I'd be in 'hog heaven' 😂🍻
Got the Banish, Corgi, and the Pyrite. All are good. I'd put the TLL Raccoon in there instead of the Hedgehog.
That's one I haven't tried yet! I need to change that🍻
@Rollshambo 59 bucks is hard to beat for a serious slicer. I have a barlock Raccoon that's good, but nothing beats a real detent.
Thanks for sharing bro!
🍻
Great video as always brother
I only have two of the group but that Hedgehog will be joining my collection. Top Liner Lock S35VN Blade & Micarta Handles at that price, yes please.
It's easily a top 5 pickup for me this year(vosteed hedgehog) it often battles for supremacy in my pocket with the psyop😂
"Button lock." This used to refer to plunge locks, but I guess now it's anything with a button, including top liners. A top liner like the Hedgehog:👍. Any kind of knife with a plunge lock: 👎👎👎. Getting a plunge lock today is like getting a blade in 8Cr13MoV. Both are outdated and on their way out.
They are wayyyy better than liner and frame locks! And less outdated also
