- A list of all the known AcceleRacers sequel vehicles. The term "season 2" refers to the cancelled sequel series, and will now be the common term replacing AcceleRacers 5.

To be completely honest, I’m kinda glad we didn’t get a Season 2 of Acceleracers, if only for the fact that I think the “car transforms into a mech” gimmick would’ve been ill-suited to the Acceleracers series.
What made Acceleracers beloved in the first place WERE the unique cars, yes, but the characters, the setting, the premise, etc. also helped make Acceleracers so beloved.
And to be quite frank, I’m kinda afraid that if we added mechs into the story, it would’ve forced the characters and the story to take a backseat to the action, which - if the movies directed by Michael Bay are anything to go by - would’ve been a disaster.
Personally the only thing that would've been negatively affected is the environments.

well, the hyperpods were kind of ill-suited to the story and were shoehorned in at times, so if the mechs only took up as much space in the story as those, i would have been fine with that.

its literally battle force 5 and yeah, compared to acceleracers it sucks, there's no racing in that series as opposed to the racing focused story of acceleracers
It’s cool they reused some designs for bf5. At least they lived on in some form.
True but would be cooler if we actually got these as real cars hell I wouldn't even mind some models from a 3-D printer
Cole Strawn yeah I understand that the acceleracers merch had more quality then the bf5 merch.
The BF5 toys (especially diecasts) were originally going to have their own wheels and better paint/weapons. Why did that change? No idea, maybe it had to do with costs. BF5 diecasts were a dollar cheaper than AcceleRacers. I guess BF5 took a budget hit.
Tezla's Cube Yeah because the Zelix vehicle has painted blue wheels. Then the final product had clear plastic.
To be fair at least the quality was higher than what it was today. Most of the cars today are made out of clear plastic, and to add insult to injury the newer cars and tracks dont really scream hot wheels. I get it, at the end of the day Mattel is a business and they probably made the choice to save money, but I think their product suffered in the long run. Back then hot wheels cars had this feeling of being imaginative but still feeling real. Like even though there outlandish you could still see a life sized version out on the road or in the showroom. Every once in a while we do get a real diamond in the rough but nowadays that magic just feels all but gone. The last time I felt that old hot wheels magic ( I think ) was back in either 2014 or god forbid 2011.
I don’t like this idea of cars transforming into robots to fight. Doesn’t feel very hot wheels to me
I have to agree. Seems a bit too much like transformers. Still sounds cool though.
if i had tons of money, I would buy a studio and the rights to acceleracers and get the cast and revive acceleracers.
(which i don't think that'll ever happen, but i can dream, can't i?)

After watching this I'm glad they didn't make a sequel because having cars turned into mech suits is kind of stupid

I'm kinda glad that there wasn't a sequel now because, in my opinion, the BF5 cars look like crap, and the Teku and Metal Maniacs were good looking
the bf5 cars are cool, they all have unique powers, saber can drive upside down, has blades and buzzsaws, the tangler can climb and fight like a spider, the chopper can fly and glide and has blades that can slice and dice, the buster is a tank with lots of weaponry, and the Reverb is the coolest one
Yeah. BF5 are actually really good. But it doesn't fit on the Acceleracers universe.

I was excited and disappointed at first, then I was relieved and disappointed at the same time.
I was excited at first because I thought there was gonna be an Acceleracers 5 movie confirmed coming but disappointed because it meant I had to cancel my fanfilm sequels.
I was then relieved because my fanfilm ideas can stay and continue being worked on but disappointed because there's no movie officially coming.
Sad but kinda cool?
Honestly the AcceleRacers fanbase is just a chain of disappointment now.

I think it is likely that they would have been used in the sequel otherwise they would not have been released
This happens in toy lines all the time, where a bunch of toys are released but are not used in the show or any sequel show. Considering the direction AcceleRacers Season 2 would've gone in, the nine 2005 cars that weren't seen would've never been seen.
Question: how far did the development of Stunt Strikers go? You know, before they moved on to Battle Force 5.
I am asking because I am curious if there were any tracks or anything ever composed for the series. I recently came across the McDonald's commercial of the toys and they used a song in the background that I personally think that fits the vibe of Hot Wheels back in the day, hence the question. Seems like it's something it would be used for a theme song of the series.
I recall seeing some discarded concept art for the series in a TH-cam video a while ago and I was going to post this comment there, but since I can't find it anymore I'd figure I post here as it's one of the most active channels of the series and you guys have done extensive research on this topic.
Two things:
1. You all saw Vert ended up in the Silencerz HQ right.. how do you think he got a car???
2. Transforming cars is the worst idea since transformers. I’m glad BF5 and Transformers have nothing to do with Acceleracers. BF5 is too close for my liking because of how poorly the show has transpired in comparison to Acceleracers. The fifth and sixth movies would have been great but not at this cost.
I figured out Vert would've also driven the blue Teku surf car. To me, the story is compelling enough to where the toy gimmick wouldn't have negatively affected things.

There’s some other logos on his suit too that all reference his legacy as a reused name
