Nothing wrong with riding distances 2-up regularly on a lighter bike (than a tourer model) such as a LR. It's doable, and I do it. The first thing is fit a HD Sundowner seat and sissy bar with a rack, then fit a Memphis Shades fairing like a Road Warrior or Batwing, fit Leather Pros saddle bags (you can get the largest size with a 2 into 1 exhaust) and fit a touring pack or trunk bag on the luggage rack. All the stuff is detachable for a clean look when not touring.
I bought a 2018 RGS in 2018 and dressed it out as an ultra for cheaper than buying the ultra only because I wanted blackout. Now they offer the blackout on the ultra you are better off buying the ultra.
I’ve been riding for years 20 years from sport bikes to Harley. And I have a 09 nightster 1200 with stage two and ride with my girl a lot and I love that bike . I’ll get a bagger for real long trips later on but still keeping this bike it’s so fun and fast and set up for me perfect
I have the 2021 street bob love mine. And i've had no problem stopping my bike when riding fast. Highly recommend this bike. Mag wheels are even a better look.
Looking now at a Pan America Special or a Triumph Tiger 1200. Never had a Harley so the Pan Am may be the 1st. Both bikes are priced and close in spec, except the Tiger would have shaft drive and speed shifter.
I wish I started off with a street bob vs my Sportster as my first. But I love my Sportster. I am looking for something bigger but as a short person not many options other than Sportster and standard.
If I was to get another Harley it would be a entry level road glide. At the cost of the road glide special I can customize the hell out of the beginners road glide with better everything and still be in the ball park price of the special, maybe a little higher but definitely unique.
Agree, Street Bob is a great value. Love my 2020. The low rider s touring is very tempting. I want a bagger but I don’t want the added weight for around town. Just hate the feeling of starting over. Already have 5 grand into my street bob. Can’t imagine paying 24 grand plus upgrades to get the new low rider dialed
Great advice guys, have owned over 30 bikes never owned a Harley at 59 years old ready to buy my first and last Harley and probably last bike, I do like the sport glide but have a feeling I would probably update later on which I don’t want to do, I love the Road King Special in Deadwood green.

Australia - new rider to Harley can’t get into a bike for less then $21k and that’s the standard! The new street bob here is $26k They have priced them selves out of the market for 1st bike riders over here! You can only get a second hand sporty over here now.

I have a 2020 street bob. I added a Woods 22xe cam and the thing rips. I’ve had a few close calls at high speed when someone has pulled out in front of me and the bike stops just fine. Would dual disc brakes be nice? Yes. But the bike stops just fine.
In the video you guys said you moved from the sportster cause of riding on highway and wanting power why not buy the 1200 instead of the 883 cause it has nothing? I ride all the time on the highway no problem I feel it’s all set up to the rider
🤣🤣 true. 2017-2020 had the hydraulic clutch which sucked and couldnt be adjusted. It made changing gears a bit wonky. I am going for a 21 or 22 strictly for the cable clutch. Just waiting on prices to drop a bit

It doesnt have enough power to be on the highway for me to ride it to work or anything. So where should a new rider with an underpowered bike look?
