40 year retired wrench here, and I have to say you guys do stunning and thorough work. If I was 20 younger would love to spend a summer working with you guys and see what I could pick up around there especially sourcing old parts. Great job guys, seriously!
I just brought my 85 CJ7 Renegade from Connecticut to Florida. It needs a lot of work. I'm looking to restore it but it will take some time. Thank you for sharing love the video.
You wanna see a clean cj build ? Go check out babymissions youtube page. Not taking anything away from this sweet build, hats off to the miller bros.Cheers 👍🏻
That looks awesome what kind of floor liner did you put back in there cuz I'm doing one now in 1984 CJ7 of course not as near as technical as yours I don't have the deep pockets but doing the best I can with what I got lol
Awesome! Love seeing people restoring these old CJs and keeping them on the road. Right now it is so freaking hot and humid here and hard for me to get motivated. Time to get off my butt. Again, Great job on yours!!!! Mike
@@aaronmiller3215 Yep, that looked to be a really rust free solid platform. I took a rust free 85 Laredo cj7 in Dark Night Blue to this level, only thing I added different were the Laredo graphics decals. These '85's have a ton more wiring than earlier units.
Is that a 2 in lift on 33’s? I’m trying to figure out what I want to do to mine and like a good reference. You had a sweet build. Did you do any performance mods to the engine. Stroke it out or anything.
A buddy of mine built one of these from the ground up for me with brand new parts and the defrost on the windshield doesn’t seem to be powerful enough. Any suggestions?
What do you typically charge ?......I'm interested in an 85 CJ but want the new Cummins crate motor 2.8 and done like this blue one but I like a maroon color
This one cost our customer $57k which included the purchase of the red CJ. We would love to talk to you further about a 2.8 Cummins CJ restoration! Feel free to call us at 715-247-4100 or email me at aaronemilmiller@gmail.com.
Hi Elias. This Jeep build cost $57,000 including the purchase of the original red Jeep. Every single nut and bolt was either media blasted and powder coated or replaced with stainless steel.
$57k including the purchase of the original red Jeep. Your results may vary. We have recently decided to discontinue restoring Jeeps as it is not a good use of our shop space at our auto repair facility. A restoration like this takes hundreds and hundreds of hours and in the end is not a profitable endeavor for us.
We work with Somerset Collision for the paint and body work. I don't know the brand of paint, however the color is Ford Blue Flame Metallic, the same color they use on a 2015 F150.
why dont you tell how much money you spent on it? you could go and buy 2 new ones 4 what you spent on it and you still got an 85 model when you get done,,,
How is that any of your business? We were hired to build it for one of our clients to their specifications. When you get to the income level of the clients that have hired us to build them a complete custom CJ like no other one on the road, they want something that no one else has and that is exactly what we built.
Ron, we weren’t restoring it for you. We built it for a particular client and we built it to their specifications. We too have restored many Jeep CJ’s and each one is built for different clients with different tastes.
Call it what you want. We were hired to make a really nice Jeep for our customer to their specs and our attention to detail. We were fortunate to find a solid canvas to start our artwork.

Thanks for the kind words Randy!
This is probably one of the coolest CJ restorations I've ever seen.
Thanks Jason!

KC TSP thank you! Best of luck on the restoration, and yes, they do take time.
Outstanding. Thank-you for saving these old rigs.

Bravo. The CJs and YJs are my most beloved 4x4s. Great job.
I used to have an 86. This makes me want to rebuild one.
Well done!
Nice to see a frame up resto that keeps the legendary 258. Beautiful.
Thanks Ryan!
That is just amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for showing this video. Now I have an idea what it would look like if am going to have it restored. Outstanding job.
Thank you
Awesome build. Jeep looked pretty solid before though too.
Nice job.
Loved the color.
Go easy on background music.
Thanks! I had limited music choices on my video editing software :-(
Very nice
Awesome build! Killer roll cage!! Wish I had the funds to get my YJ restored haha
jalend venn Thank you!! The cage was a kit from GenRight Off Road that we TIG welded, powder coated, and ran all the speaker wires inside the tubes.
One of the cleanest builds ive seen. Good job!
Thanks!

This is why you don’t cut corners on a rebuild do it right from the start or don’t do it at all !
Nicely done!!!! Thumbs up!
Thank you! I enjoyed watching your floor pan replacement videos this morning.
Awesome! Love seeing people restoring these old CJs and keeping them on the road. Right now it is so freaking hot and humid here and hard for me to get motivated. Time to get off my butt. Again, Great job on yours!!!! Mike
Can you please let us know the stereo components used? The overhead setup is awesome!
It was offered through Genright Off Road to go with their full roll cage kit. I just went on their website, and I don't see it anymore.
That is beautiful!
Thanks Charles!

great job....well done
Farshad Aslani thank you!
Real nice outcome but there was really nothing wrong with it from the start
I agree, but this was a build for a customer and we had to find a nice base to start the project in the first place.
@@aaronmiller3215 Yep, that looked to be a really rust free solid platform. I took a rust free 85 Laredo cj7 in Dark Night Blue to this level, only thing I added different were the Laredo graphics decals. These '85's have a ton more wiring than earlier units.
Awesome build brother! Was that a 4" spring under axle lift? (Pre-resto) like the way it sits and if u want a little more height u can spring-over
How much did it cost?
This Jeep is missing something very major, ME as the driver!
Very very nice!
Thank you!
Is that a 2 in lift on 33’s? I’m trying to figure out what I want to do to mine and like a good reference. You had a sweet build. Did you do any performance mods to the engine. Stroke it out or anything.
It's a BDS 2.5" YJ conversion lift with 32x11.50 tires. The engine is stock with MOPAR fuel injection.
That is amazing! I like Jeeps, but to my wallet. Stunning time lips.
Any sound clips of that stereo setup?
Wade N, sorry, I don’t have any sound clips.
Beautifully done😁
Yashas B J Thank you!
How can i made my jeep Like before the project what lift kit I have to use and tallers
Love this Build, any chance you can post the build sheet to give us an idea of the parts and specs?
Thanks Roger. In the introduction above I listed most of the important details of the build.
You are right, did not expand the text, my bad. Thanks!
Aaron Miller how much did the build cost just wondering
Wow, epic job guys... what engine would have been stock in 85' ?
My 85 came with the 4.2 258 straight 6.
Good stuff
Prácticamente lo volvieron a fabricar mil veces mejor comprarse un hechiso de los que vende la cariler llenos de lujos
My next car...
A buddy of mine built one of these from the ground up for me with brand new parts and the defrost on the windshield doesn’t seem to be powerful enough. Any suggestions?
Upgrade the blower motor to a 1972 Blazer blower motor, you'll have to enlarge the firewall hole but the results are worth it.
Amazing job!!! What was the cost and how many man hours went into this?
R M Thanks! It cost our customer $57k including the purchase of the donor Jeep. Over 600 hours.
Hola le pregunto los venden en Argentina? Que motor es de cuántos cv ? Me interesa comprar uno
Really nice good work , how much did it cost this restauration ? thank you.
Mountain Rock thanks! The total cost including purchase price of the red Jeep was $57k to our customer.
What do you typically charge ?......I'm interested in an 85 CJ but want the new Cummins crate motor 2.8 and done like this blue one but I like a maroon color

150,000 percent my dream car
Speechless, great job Master. Is it possible to know how much was your budget?
Hi Elias. This Jeep build cost $57,000 including the purchase of the original red Jeep. Every single nut and bolt was either media blasted and powder coated or replaced with stainless steel.
Hola mis saludos desde Argentina
Hola Andre!
What does something like this cost?
We don’t do them anymore, so, priceless.
That’s a sweet ride, nice work!! What manufacturer are the seats from?
Thanks! The seats are made by Corbeau. Quadratec part number 24222.9210.
Wow 🤩
I'd be curious what the total cost was...
Jeffrey Wright , $6k for the donor Jeep & $51k for the build out.
what was the final restoration price i have a jeep and im wondering what the restoration would be
$57k including the purchase of the original red Jeep. Your results may vary. We have recently decided to discontinue restoring Jeeps as it is not a good use of our shop space at our auto repair facility. A restoration like this takes hundreds and hundreds of hours and in the end is not a profitable endeavor for us.
I liked it before the restoration as well 🙂
So did we!
Excellent build! What was the cost of the restoration? I'm planning on doing the same thing! Thanks
Thanks for the kind words! This restoration cost our customer $57k including the purchase of the red donor Jeep.
Wow!!
Where are you located
Somerset, WI
Wow.
How much money did it take? I have a 1985 yj
$57,000
Bro wasnt it Wrangler by 85?
Bro, the square headlight Wrangler came on the scene in 1987. The CJ-7 was built through 1986.
@Millerbrothersautorepair I stand corrected
What brand of paint did you use?
We work with Somerset Collision for the paint and body work. I don't know the brand of paint, however the color is Ford Blue Flame Metallic, the same color they use on a 2015 F150.
How much was the jeep itsself cost
The original Jeep was about $6k with shipping.
How much did that costs u
This was a restoration for one of our clients. The total was $57k including the purchase of the original red CJ7.
Aaron Miller where u guys based .i have th 97 model i want jst paint work all over
We're in Somerset, WI. We don't do the paint, we work with a local body shop for the paint job.
Spent all that money and left the 6cyl in it? Looked like a perfect candidate for a LS...
It was built for our client's teenage daughter. An LS swap would have been way too much power, not to mention the T-5 transmission would not survive.
Too many quick picture cuts...
why dont you tell how much money you spent on it? you could go and buy 2 new ones 4 what you spent on it and you still got an 85 model when you get done,,,

👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
All that shit and no sound or video of it running?!?!
Sorry but you missed on so many levels. Have restored many of these.
Ron, we weren’t restoring it for you. We built it for a particular client and we built it to their specifications. We too have restored many Jeep CJ’s and each one is built for different clients with different tastes.
Dude, great job on the production. AMC Jeep was so much better than the crap Fiat Jeeps today...imho.
You_Are_Cleared_Hot Thank you. Agreed.
I’m not sure that buying a Jeep in excellent condition and complete and freshening it up constitute a restoration.
Call it what you want. We were hired to make a really nice Jeep for our customer to their specs and our attention to detail. We were fortunate to find a solid canvas to start our artwork.
Where are you located
We're in Somerset, WI. However, we no longer do Jeep CJ restorations.
