Every overclock for gunner this season looks to be a banger. Never even touched the Hurricane as a exclusively gunner player. I just started last season and just never had good overclocks for it and loved the autocannon with Neurotoxin Payload. First new overclock was the cluster munitions and it's just carpet bombs bugs and went back to minigun when I got it's new overclock the other day. Now I'm just farming to get the new autocannon overclock the one I really wanted but found play styles I like with this new season instead
18:57 I have to respectfully disagree. When I'm using Cluster Charges and a swarm is getting too close, I rapidly alternate between firing a single shot and detonating it immediately (the rhythm takes a little getting used to so you don't accidentally reload the gun instead) and just spew stunning cluster bombs in a wide area directly in front of me almost like a D&D cone attack. I repeat that process (usually in frantic terror lol) until there's nothing left. It's fun; I recommend giving it a try if you never have! Love the content! I watched a bunch of your videos when I was first getting into DRG!
@@Gundolf300 Ayy, let's go! Even after the nerf, I still think Cluster Charges is a contender for the strongest overclock in the game. The fact you can use it in so many creative ways for so many situations like this one is a huge reason why. It's not the best in EVERY scenario but it's exceptional in most of them if you use it right!
@roar104 yea i just checked, completely empty ammo on sludgepump with ammo up and clip up (40+160). Resuppy gave me 40clip and 60 reserve, i.e 100 ammo. I expect it to give 90 without clip upgrade
@@roar104 That's entirely wrong. 2 resupplies will refill weapon ammunition to 100%. The only thing in the game that isn't affected by this logic is turret ammunition.
1:22 Regarding armor breaking and explosives. Didn't they rework and patch out armor breaking recently? Pretty sure the aoe on explosions interacts properly with the armor breaking now.
The Hurricane was for the longest time my favorite Gunner weapon (Mortar Rounds my beloved), so I am really happy with this guide. I would however show a fire build as well instead of just telling about it so that people know how to build the revolver as well as being able to go more in depth why it is a solid build. Okay so I am 2 for 2 for the requests, first the Sludge Pump for myself, then the Hurricane for a friend, so let's switch over to the other coworkers who recently started playing it and all are in love with the M1000 (yes I got 3 scout players in the same group), so could you do your next video about the M1000? It is a 'classic' after all 😉
Whats the point of taking damage mod building bulldog? It doesn’t add any breakpoints, just lowers your potential ammo and makes it so that you can deal with tanky targets a little faster Taking t4 a on a non-oc or clean oc hurricane build is suboptimal as weakpoint bonus calculates from direct damage only so the buff is 16/2=+8 damage to one target at a time given that you hit its weakpoint. However, t4 b grants you a stable +4 damage bonus to everything in the blast radius with no need to aim at weakpoints. I also strongly recommend t1 c with minelayer. Helps to get the most out of the oc and makes it more useful against flying enemies provided you have at least some terrain nearby to stick mines in and kite around. Fear is the most op option for the coil gun especially if you pick electricity. Stun + electricity don’t complement each other that much All of the above is true on higher hazards so for those who play lower ones some of the builds showcased in the video can be more optimal than mine
@@awesomesauce5974 elephant rounds are fine in their own way. Not a big fan but they make possible things that some other OCs can’t. For eg kill a trijaw or acid spitter in 1 weakpoint shot. In my comment I was ranting about equipping damage upgrade on a six-shooter bulldog that imo makes next to no sense.

I love the hurricane so much, i didnt touch it for my first two gunner promotions and now i never let it go
Plasma Burster Missles absolutely shred dreadnoughts
I honestly love nitroglycerin compound with plasma burster. The damage increase is noticeable.

im a big believer in the extra mag size - its half an ammo upgrade !!
Unfortunately only helps when dropping in afaik, unlike ammo upgrades
@@roar104 i believe ressuplies also give you ammo for half your clip, no ?

The two cleans are always great. Salvo Module I like as something different from the base performance.

6:39 pet break
Full aoe and stun, my precious

I second this comment.
Sounds like your friends need some c4
Great guide and great livestream!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Is the DMG increase on nitroglycerin compound triggered by time in the air or distance traveled?
he corrects himself and states it depends on travel time
Im usinf 31121 hurricane with frag mines and a vb bulldog for dmg once there on fire does that seem viable to use the hurricane for ignition?
Yeah that seems fine to me!
What weapon paintjob are you using?
The one that makes his guns look like nerf guns? Funnily enough the skin itself is called "Buff"
Boy howdy do I not like this weapon paintjob
The bulldog in particular looks like a literal Nerf blaster
That is why I like it

why the damage mod on the bulldog? simple, big damage is fun.
My elephant rounds do just fine in HAZ 5
