    Presents a young man with a secondary stutter, and demonstrates progress that can be done through speech therapy. In secondary stuttering, the stutter is accompanied by awareness, anticipation, and resultant anxiety. Tics in the face, hands, head, or body may appear due to the stress of the effort put forth to control the stutter.

    My best friend growing up had this problem. You become a prison in your own mind, because of not wanting to stutter. You foresee the words coming and try to trick your brain into using different words. He was depressed as hell, angry, but extremely intelligent. In the company of each other, his stuttering was at a minimum. Of course more stressful situations agitated. His stuttering was a learned behavior from his father! Crazy as that sounds it’s true. This video reminded me of my friend. He’s alive and well, made babies with my cousin but don’t talk anymore. Miss him always

      The only people who says true things that could help our stuttering are William Parry and Chase Gillis. Check them on TH-cam. And the other thing that helped me a lot is psilocybin therapy. One medium to high dose. And microdosing for some months with the Stamets stack. Are risky things but could be really life changing. Now 95% of my stuttering has disappeared. Another thing, love yourself and never judge your speaking ability in bad way. Don't overthink about situations in which you talk and stutter. Don't try hard not to stutter. Don't push through blocks. Check vagus nerve activation exercises. They really help. Good luck! Stay strong. Love yourself.

    There ARE now, very effective treatments for this condition! One, appears to be a pair of hearing aids. Instead of amplifying sound, they actually block the sufferer's own voice from being heard. Without hearing oneself, the person rarely stutters! It doesn't work on all stutters, but helps many! Some can be helped by simple medication! One severe stutterer that I knew, never stuttered after 3 or 4 Beers!

    • @koenberkvens5302
      @koenberkvens5302 2 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      @Zed Kay It's the hard truth though. I know when I get drunk my stutter completely vanishes. When you are self aware of your stutter it often makes it worse. Whilst drunk, or under the influence of something else you just don't care and move on. That's why it's so important to shrug it off when people laugh about your stutter or you stutter yourself.

    “How to Stop Stuttering & Love Speaking” by Lee Lovett will reduce your stutter and improve your mind. I spent nearly $1K on weekly speech therapy sessions and never felt an ounce of improvement, but Lee’s book and program I saw improvement in 2-3 months. If you work hard at it, you will improve your speech, but most importantly your mind.
