My PO changed my life. I was arrested for street racing right, we’re talking 196mph in a 45, no helmet, no tag, they saw me do a wheelie, just hit me with everything. I was a first offender so they gave me a year of probation and that was it. Well I ended up violating because I didn’t know how long those fake blue perc 30’s stay in your system. My next appointment he brings me in and goes bro what are you doing? I mean we talk for a good hour and he asks me he goes I can give you a warning but you’ll just do it again. Or I can lock you up for the weekend and see what the state has to offer at first appearance. I actually chose to just get violated and get it over with. Before I see the judge he’s already written him and called him and they talked about me and the state offered me something and the judge stepped in and said naw how about this. Your license is still suspended for a calendar year but no more probation. Instead, I want you to go to a sober living for the remainder of your probation which was 9 months. No requirements to piss clean or anything. Literally it was just to go to the sober living and try it out for 9 months. Guys it saved my life. I’m telling you I was taking 7-8 of those blues at a time and I was doing it every 2-3 hours. Like I was on fentanyl bad. And they got me straight. The owner of the sober living also talked to my PO and he went out of his way to find out what I’m good at doing and then helped me get started in that kind of field. Now I’m a day trader, I work from anywhere I wanna plug my laptop into. I’m secure for the rest of my life bc I made some really good trades and most importantly I’m 100% sober. Alcohol was never my thing it was just the pills but even then I’ve not had one single sip of alcohol or any kind of drug since sober living.

I’d be doing more than the tiny amount they the news shows can kill a handful of people. When I stopped I did it straight, no suboxone to ween me off and the withdrawals were so bad I wanted to kill myself. Night of just sitting on the bathroom floor screaming because I can’t stop heaving, I can’t get settled down, I’m super hot then super cold constantly. Every joint in my body was killing me and all I wanted was just half a damn pill to make it stop but I put up with that every day for almost 2 weeks. Idk if you can say I wasn’t in it that bad

This explains his calm demeanor regarding his job. If he had been supervising high-risk probationers, his actions would have faced much stricter scrutiny.

He was fired because he committed a 4th amendment violation x the 100's of people he illegally looked up. Which is why the Union wouldn't touch it. Consult a constitutional lawyer and he or she will explain it all to you. Police officers can get sued for doing that as well.

    • @curtcoleman
      @curtcoleman 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

This. In my state you have to take a weeklong class in order to be permitted to use that system, and you must have a valid law enforcement reason each time you access those records.
Abuse of the system can result in your department having it's license revoked. This is reason enough to terminate any officer who misuses it.
Also, it is very common for parolees and probationers to be required to forfeit their 4th Amendment right to unreasonable searches and seizures as a condition of and for the duration of their parole/probation. This means they are subject to being searched at anytime. Their person, phone, car, house, etc.

Suddenly I’m a mastermind of a criminal get I’m living in squaller…my exs gf drove the car they bought with their stolen money and so much more yet she was cleared of all her charges and scapegoated me behind my back to anyone who will listen…the aclu said they can’t help me and the doj ignores my request for help…it’s bs …

I was a a Philly Probation Officer for 31 years in Philadelphia and retired. What probably happened was you were sentenced to a 5 year State Parole, follow by probation tail to be supervised by Philly. The parolee would complete his State sentence and was not instructed to report to County supervision. There was a period that many of these cases were left in limbo and when it was discovered that they had a tail to his State sentence. Unfortunately, the officers would have to contact the probationer and tell them we had an active case and they would have to report. As an officer, I hated it, because many were going on with their life for a couple of years with no problems.

In 2019, I had a pending violation because I brought back a trespassing charge. I was found guilty. But when you have a pending violation, they give you a new probation officer, but the original one determines whether, or not they capias you, show cause you, or if they do nothing. My new probation officer told me it was just going to be a "show cause." Which meant I wasn't getting arrested. Then I went online to see the status of my violation and it was a capias. I went in there and told her and she said she would fix it. But she couldn't because it had already been sent to the judge. And she didn't want to look like an idiot. I called her boss. I called her bosses boss. And I still got arrested. Sat in jail for w months and awaited sentencing just to get no time. About a year later they made laws about violations and took the discretion away from the probation officers. This happened in Virginia. And it was my 1st and only violation. So I took 1 for the whole VA

i was on probation for 10 years here in north texas and it was a complete and absolute joke!...at the beginning i had got caught with a bottle of hydrecodone...first time id been in trouble in my entire life and got 10 years probation wich is a joke in itself....but during that time i was told i would have one officer assigned to me that knew my life charges etc and would help me complete the probation...wich could not have been farther from the truth.i literally had a new officer every month to every other month (i think there may have been one time that i had the same officer for like 5 months) each officer had diff rules that they would allow.they shut the whole office down twice once for catching multiple officers sleeping with the clients, stealing and pocketing payments and threatening to violate clients for not having sex with them....also the male who watched the men take urine tests was having people give him head in order to have their hot tests get thrown away....i got violated 3 diff times.one of them was legit i screwed up but the other two were complete lies and i actually hired a lawyer on one of them and took them to court and won.had proof they were lying.anyways i ended up just doing 6 months in prison to get off probation.each time i got violated i lost my good job,my vehicle, and almost my home.if anyone is reading this i DONT recommend taking probation!!! its all lies and an absolute JOKE!

I know my right and still recently had my 4th amendment right violated. And I can not find any info on what to do. All I can find is how to get your case dropped. What are the people suppose to do whose rights are violated but have no charges to get thrown out? The Missouri state trooper acted like I should feel lucky I didn’t get charges.. I felt held hostage not lucky. I’ve heard so many things in this interview I’ve been trying to tell people.. the reason I’m out of the system is because my last PO gained my respect and trust. Proved herself, and it came to the point I respected her enough I could be straight up with her and she got to know me. She took off work on the spot to stand up for me.. she also threw me in jail. So it’s not like she was cool cuz I got to do anything I wanted. I respected her so I didn’t want to let her down. This dude is someone like that. I’d love to come on this show I have a logical and reasonable change to the system that would start correcting not grounding them. People should be proud to have 0 people in prison, not packed to the point of private prisons.. but even those greedy fucks wouldn’t loose money with my plan..

Ironically it was my own former PO that got me into that line of work, started off volunteer mentoring, then went into a few paid engagement worker and key worker roles and got involved in research bits too. They then put you on probation or parole and force you to install a breathalyzer in your car even though it does not detect THC! It’s policing for profit here in PA. It ruined my life and I’m only 20 minutes from where he is a probation officer.

In my state though if you refuse the field sobriety test, you can request a chemical test which is blood. Weed doesn't show in your blood as long as it does in your urine. I believe in blood it show up only 12 hours after use.

I did an extra three months probation because my PO just kept forgetting to discharge me. I was on basically indefinitely because it was COVID and I couldn’t fulfill my community service hours anywhere. They said I’d be released when I got my hours.
I finished up. Submitted my paperwork and continued to report for three months. Each time my PO saying I’d be dismissed.
Finally spent a whole day on the phone talking with people. Somehow I got in touch with my judge’s secretary and got dismissed that same night.
The whole time I was wasting money on UAs and stuff I should have already been done with.
Getting into the system is the easy part. Getting out though….😂

In my state each count is a "D" class felony. Most likely got fired because he lied about it.
