Two things jumped out at me: 1. I worked in the arms industry myself for about 13 years, and when it comes to ammunition, every single case that comes out of a state arsenal, and pretty much everything made privately has a headstamp or factory stamp on it. The information these stamps give varies, but usually its going to be factory of origin and year of production. Chinese and indeed, all combloc ammunition had a headstamp scheme that was well understood by western intelligence throughout the cold war. Not to mention that Chinese ammo that was sold commercially in the US was made at state arsenals so the factory stamps would be no secret. So when he describes simply changing the boxes to conceal the origin of the ammo, I immediately knew they were going to be caught because there was simply no way that the ammo would not be inspected on arrival and the headstamps cross referenced. The military authorities probably knew from the day it arrived where it was from and simply didn't care. 2. The New York times always shows their journalistic integrity.
He literally said the ARMY knew all along and even shielded them because they deemed the ammo essential to the Afghan government. They figured as soon as Obama came in he’d pull troops and the afghans would be screwed. Justice dep told them we’d not charge y’all were it not for the article that blew up.

Thank you 🙏
@@DavidPackouz Holy crap! 😂TY so much for the TY! I watched War Dogs. Your cameo - Yay! Also, the Instafloss looks amazing! Well done, you!💜
@@DavidPackouz helping the families of the kids that got killed in the Gerdec factory would also be a way to pay back. Their parents are still to this day fighting for their rights.
So much pleasure listening to this man, to his admission to being wrong, his redemption and ability to persevere and find a path to success, and take others there with him; "A rising tide lifts all boats" such the perfect aphorism. Thanks for making this important documentary.
🙏
Wow what a story! Thanks for bringing it in.
This is an awesome interview! I’ve seen the movie a couple times but enjoyed hearing it this way
Great story! Thanks for posting!
This is one of the most fascinating interviews on TH-cam hands down.
You have one of the most unique designs & platform. Consistently presenting interesting stories and people.
Really fascinating story One of the best you've ever had on your channel
the sales pitch 3/4's of the way thru lol

You wanna win right?
Mark, you've outdone yourself. Thanks for all you do!
The War Dogs movie literally got me started on government contracting! Loving this interview!
He had a cameo in the War Dogs movie towards the beginning on the film, he was playing guitar in the nursing home when his character is trying to push bed sheets, actually a pretty good guitar player/singer
Thank you 🙏🎶
@@DavidPackouz very unexpected to hear from you man, pretty awesome. You are a good musician, I collect instruments and play, your reply made my day. Thanks David.
I’ll have to go watch again and try and catch that.
Dude could seriously just play his own role in the movie. Gift of the silver tongue, and seems to come across as genuine.
🙏
This has to be one of your best interviews.
I would say this is just one guy spinning his own PR. He's very good at it though I'll give him that
Damn! This guy is the most well-spoken guy I have ever watched. From start to finish, I still want to see more!
Thank you 🙏

I watched this movie "war dogs" twice on 2 overseas trips to eastern europe. Amazing to hear the real story from this guy. fascinating.
Thank you for interviewing this man I loved it
This is an amazing interview!!! Brilliant!!!
this was so amazing especially at the end how he turned his life around for music its so inspiring. happy to have this in mind.
🙏
Wow what a great story!! Ive never watched War Dogs and really didn't know anything about this kinda thing going in to the video. Ill have to watch that movie now! Thanks Mark for another great story for me to listen to!
I am a huge movie fan but resisted WD for years (IDK why), but curiosity got me last night. It's pretty darn good; well-paced & entertaining. It leaves Netflix July 7th if you can/want to catch it there. David has a cameo! 💜
The timeline of the movie doesn't match up to what David is describing but all in all it seems to reflect the story fairly well
A man completely devoid of ethics and more than willing to comply with something else, alarming to see no comments on this line
Being able to look good and tell a good story (whether it’s true or not) is considered more important than morals and ethics.
@@nadiromar2666 yea so it seems
He had a lot more morals than his ex partner no?
A politician 😮
Yep. He'd sell his grandmother and make you believe that it was a good deed.
Another great one Mark !
By far the best interview video of yours I have listened to.. I was disappointed when it came to an end!
🙏
This was a fantastic change of pace from all the sad stories
What a absolutely wild detour this man had!!! Way to GO!!! Awesome awesome story
🙏
wasn't even an interview, David is a story teller, and one hell of an interesting guy. SWYB giving us the greatest content.

Soft White Yellow Belly
What a fascinating story and amazing storyteller! 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you 🙏
One of the most fascinating interviews/people I've seen on here. So many questions I would still ask. He's also quite easy on the eyes, which I'm not mad at.
Thank you 🙏🥰
Such charisma. This was one of your better interviews.
ANYONE REMEMBER "WAR DOGS" MOVIE?! WAS BASED OFF THIS DUDE💯
NO WAY?! WHAAAAAAAT?? REALLY?!?! THAT'S FUCKING INSANE BRO WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT??
Really?? 👁️ 👄 👁️
awesome story from an awesome story teller. I was glued to the video as soon as it started. I love how Mark lets people talk and doesn't interrupt. Mr. Packouz seems like a great guy and Im happy he's doing well.
