- Miss USA 2023 will be the 72nd Miss USA pageant that will be held on the week of September 29, 2023, at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. Morgan Romano of North Carolina will crown her successor at the end of the event. The winner will go on to represent the United States at Miss Universe 2023 competition.
This was the first edition of the pageant to be held under the ownership of fashion designer Laylah Rose and was streamed on The CW website and mobile app.

It is the first time in many years that I willingly put Miss USA forward as a potential Miss Universe 2023. It will be very difficult for any competitor to turn off the light and elegance that this woman has.

The judges definitely got this right. The final five were fairly strong, but this is probably the contestant with the best chance to win Miss Universe. We shall see. Not a lot of time to get ready, but I think she has a real shot based on her performance last night. Hawaii was very strong as well. Strong model and very natural on stage, and Wisconsin was an excellent speaker. But Utah was the most consistent, and that's what it takes to win at this level.
I feel any of the top 20 would have made awesome Miss Usa 🇺🇸 This was the best Miss Usa ever my only criticism was the cut from 20 to 5 I didn't like that .

OMG.. I’m so happy for her.. I didn’t follow this year’s pageant & only watched the Prelims yesterday.. But Utah caught my eye & she instantly became in my Top 5. I think it was a wise decision to crown her. I just found out she’s Venezuelan. And the Miss Universe competition will be held in El Salvador. This year’s probably another Latina festival, so she’s at an advantage.. ❤

Utah is stunning! So happy she won!! I think she will do well at Miss Universe! Even if she doesn’t win, USA has a good shot at top 5! I am only baffled and disappointed that NY didn’t even make the top 20! The biggest WTF moment for me.

Ok the top 5 was unexpected. I was shocked wisconsin and hawaii made it instead of virginia and california, nevada and north carolina. Q and a was good actually. But utah's answer and her performance sealed the deal. They pick the right winner knowing miss universe will be held in a latin country. She immediatedly shoot up to top 5 in my list with philippines, nicaragua and thailand.
Hawaii was dominating the competition so her top 2 placement was no surprise. pennsylvania making it over South Carolina or Virginia was the real surprise.
Pensylvannia top 5 placement was no shocker.... Wisconsin was the biggest shocker here... Also the winner needs real work before competing at Miss Universe

That's how unprofessionally run it is these days... Too many women running the show. All they really care about as the winner. You didn't notice how disappointed disappointed they sounded when they called out runners four through two? Being in the top five regardless of where you place should not be downplayed by that depressing type of call out.

This was very same as announced the winner of Miss USA (also to Miss Universe and Miss Teen USA) since 2011 and current mandate is from 2016 onwards.
It was shocking that Miss USA winner was announced before the 1st Runnar up. In all beauty pageants we have watched .. they announced the 1st Runner up first before the winner
It has been a tradition since 2011 (except 2021-2022) where the winner was announced first at Miss USA. Even Miss France also announced the winner first before the 1st Runner Up.

She stepped down today due to mental health issues. The world looks at young beautiful women like this and think that most everything is near perfect for them. However, that is not always the case. She must have been in a lot of mental anguish to resign after only 7 months and only 5 months to go. It takes a strong and courageous person to admit they need help and to seek it. May God bless her on her journey to recovery.
They have to figure out a better way to announce the winner while still announcing the first runner up. It’s kind of idiotic that each runner up is announced but not the first runner up who is left to wander the stage. Just makes me shake my head how dumb this oversight is.

Whats with the creed? It doesn't need at all when that came from? The host is terribly worst im not happy with the version this time. The only thing that makes me happy is the winner one of my top picks won the crown. Texas deserves a higher spot she should be first runner up this is her battle between Utah. One of the boring and worst productions of Miss USA this is really terrible edition.
