With R'Bonney Nola Gabriel claming the title to Miss Universe, her first runner-up, Morgan Romano of North Carolina, assumed the Miss USA title on January 27, 2023 in a crowning ceremony in Auburn, Alabama.

same. i was lucky enough to know someone who got me tickets that year, almost missed it on the drive down but we made it halfway through and seeing her crowning although hawaii was my pick was moving and i loved her as miss usa and still love her so much, one of my favorite titleholders ever.
