How to build a Chicken Coop the simple way (Split Coop Design)

    • How to Build a Chicken...
    Material
    -1 2x2x8 (I cut into 6 inch pieces and use for door latches and attach with 3 inch screws)
    -2 boxes of 3" screws
    -1 roll of wire (50ft)
    -1 box of roofing screws (for attaching the tin)
    -22 2x4x8s
    -5 2x4x12 (makes your legs)
    -pack of staples or whatever you want to attach the wire with
    -4 hinges
    -10 sheet of 6ft tin
    -2 sheets of 8ft tin (for the back wall)

    Thank you for your video and tutorial. You and my husband are just about on the same page as far as building the coop . Ours on the other hand the corners are 4x4 ‘s and cemented in 22 inches into the ground. We live in Central Florida and have hurricanes to deal with . We are taking pictures as we go and will share . We are comparing notes . Thank you sooo much!!!

      oh yea definitely need to anchor for that, and I made them as light as possible due to the fact I make and sell these so it makes for easier loading and unloading, But I have told customers that they can add 4x4s inside or out and concrete them and bolt them to the main frame

    Fantastic video though I would change the wood you used for the perches to a none treated wood tanillised or pressure treated wood can be toxic to your chickens should be OK for frame work but not for perches or nesting boxes just a thought great build though fantastic

      the overall size is 5.5ft deep, 6ft tall, and 8ft wide
