    Thank you so much! I've been binge-watching TMB series as I'm planning for 2026. I truly appreciate how honest you were and not glossing over some of the hardships and places you maybe didn't like as much. I loved the realness and you have a lovely family. What a wonderful experience to have shared with your daughter. Wonderful editing and great storytelling. I don't think you need to add the stabilizing to the filming -- I really enjoyed the reality of how it was.
    Question: Do you think the refugios food might be an issue for somebody that can't eat gluten or dairy? I see sooooooo much cheese on everybody's videos and lots of pasta. I wish I could eat that but it wouldn't end well for me.
    Did you ever need to go off trail to go to the bathroom? If so, was that ever an issue?
    Did you make all your own arrangements or did you use a company and if so, who?
    Given the opportunity to do it again would you change your route/stops or do anything differently?

    Love!!! We hit trail 25 June! As a lady, I would love to have Jen show what she took in her pack!

    Man, I just wanted to say thank you. I know it's a lot of work to edit footage, etc. Your videos had a different flavor than all the glam videos, and I really appreciated your perspective. I related to your age and walking with a young adult. Makes me feel like I'm going to make it this summer 😅 Thank you!!

    It has been very entertaining and informative watching your videos. My wife and I are going this June 22-July 2. We live near Asheville so your perspective is perfect.

    Good job on the trail and top quality edit.
    I hiked standard route 2022 and high variant route 2023.
    My only recommendation is to celebrate with food and have drinks like coffee and beer when hike is done. Or almost done.
    And electrolytes will help.

    Thank you so much for the comprehensive gear list. As I'm also doing the TMB in June I believe I will find similar weather conditions, so this is very helpful in terms of what to bring and not to bring.
    Your comments regarding not to worry about the carry-on bag size also left me more at ease on the subject and less stressed. I definitely do not want to check my bag.
    Hope to watch more of your videos soon.

    I am trying to get an understanding about how the refuges are set up. Are there seperate changing areas to get dressed since I understand there are often limited bathrooms? May seem like a weird ? But my wife has been wondering about this for a bit. Your videos are the best we have watches. Thanks for posting them

    • @OurExitStrategy
      @OurExitStrategy  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks! Yeah mostly you had to change in the bathroom or shower or stealth change in the main dorm when no one was around. I can't remember it ever being a problem... But also most of the refuges have more private rooms for a bit more $$.

    Thanks for the info! To clean your clothes in Courmeyer did you find a laundromat or have the hotel clean them?

    • @OurExitStrategy
      @OurExitStrategy  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The hotel had a place that came and got it and had it clean and back in 2 hours. Wasn't all that expensive either -although at that point we probably would have paid about anything to have clean clothes...

    Better use trekking poles than knee braces, especially in descents.

    Any type of insurance you recommend? Like being airlifted out due to emergency.

    • @OurExitStrategy
      @OurExitStrategy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We used airlift insurance related to our Garmin InReach. Garmin has some fairly cheap insurance that pays 30k toward rescues...
