Their 15-year-old son is in jail for murder, and they're hiding. If they had taken him home that day, or the school would have suspended him, or even checked his backpack, this could have been avoided, so many people failed him and the other kids. Every time this happens, we find out it could have been prevented, if the school had checked the kid's backpack, or suspended the kid, or the parents didn't give their underage kid a damn gun, or taken their kid to a psychiatrist. Every kid who has done this had given warning signs that were ignored, and parents better start paying attention, and get their kids help, don't ignore your child if they're acting out, and never give them a damn gun, if they want a gun they can wait until they're an adult and buy one themselves.

I just realized it was the beginning of December. That one act ruined so many Christmases to come for so many people.
Birthdays anniversaries weddings that will never happen - all from one terrible act. This kid was imploding, but mom & dad chose to ignore it. There's no talk ever that this kid ever.hunted - 🦃🦌 so what in the world would justify buying him a gun - to do what with?
My husband, who is very intelligent & insightful, always, said something that I find hard to grasp. He thinks it was for very nefarious reasons, he's always so correct about everything - he thinks they bought this gun. so that he could take care of himself - in other words, off himself. He's read & watched everything as much as I have, & that's what he thinks. 😮 idk, I can't even.... 😞

I’ve read other comments that would agree with your husband.

No, you guys are just reaching now saying that these parents planned for their son to commit suicide and that was their intentions behind buying this gun. Y’all are disgusting people.

Your husband is very inciteful! Mom made it clear to me her son was a big inconvenience for her!

    TOTALITY OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES.
The parents were not only made aware of the potentials...... they chose to ignore their son and the evidence he provided prior to November 20, 2021.

I can't hear the video & I have good hearing, they need to have the Mic close to them!!!

This is not a Hollywood set. It is a courtroom, the mic is there for the people in the courtroom, not the audience watching on stream. I can hear him, just turn up the volume.

You may be able to hear better with earphones or an external speaker! Sound is coming through good for me! Though the Judge is hard to hear with her soft quiet voice.

The Judge, once again “is acting like the defense attorney is her daughter and this is clearly her first trial” totally ridiculous…….Shannon! News reel should say….”Shannon showing up with her homework incomplete “! 😩

Prosecutor is looking for evidence of culpability. The fact that they ran soon after their son's arrest speaks volumes. Would not want to be the defense counsel with this evidence.

But they proved they weren't running? They didn't want to be home because they were receiving death threats so they went to a hotel (within the same county, mind you) and stayed there a few days for safety. She was still attending to her horses and they were outside smoking for anyone to see, so not sure how anyone could look at that and come to the conclusion that they were "heading to Canada...very, very slowly...and very very conspicuously..." And people bring up the "burner phones" (because "prepaid phone" sounds too normal) but their cell phones were confiscated by law enforcement so of course they went and bought prepaid phones because they were told it would be an indefinite amount of time before they got their real phones back. I don't know a soul who wouldn't go buy a "burner phone" so that they could contact family, friends, and emergency. And in their case, their attorney too.
(I'm not team Crumbley by any means, but I do think this whole thing is a fine example of how things get blown extremely out of proportion (even by LE bias as seen in this case) and how the media spins stories without asking questions...)

Yes. I think so. You're right. - The defense counsel made a good argument for this and thus cast doubts on the police account and, I think, the prosecution's "overreach" case. Just goes to show not to rush to judgement on partial evidence. Same with the defense lawyer who was convincing in her close. But awful at the start of her case. @@EastmanEditing

@@EastmanEditing …but SEVEN phones?? Doesn’t look like they had any immediate plans to turn themselves over to law enforcement. One could easily purchase more time on a phone…unless you’re trying to evade detection 🤨

Lots of “ok” by assistant prosecutor-after every answer of witnesses.
