ANY sign of emotions is very extreme and scary to think that you guys are forced to be that way. i grew up around cops and detectives dad, step dad, uncle, brother, sister fiancé and grandfather was chief of police. they all work in different departments and have seen things nobody ever should, they keep composed when they have to but yes, every single one of them has shown emotions on very difficult cases. this man here seems very experienced and does seem like he’s being kicked off assignments because he’s emotional

This can actually backfire on appeal. In law school we are taught how emotion can sway a jury. That is why witnesses and defendants are instructed to keep their emotions in check. A cop acting like this can and should be nullified testimony. On appeal this cop and the other three overly exaggerated emotional cops can be nullified testimonies. This can prove to be biased testimony and can and should be nullified. Feelings, opinions and assumptions are NOT to be admitted into evidence.
A LOT of grounds for appeal and reversal in both these trials.

She's yelling why over and over again... Maybe if she had listened more, she would have known the answer long before this ever happened. She definitely knows the answer now!!
Also, I don't remember who said it, but somewhere in the trial it was said that the shooter's dad was the one saying "I love you" repeatedly as the door was shutting. So the dad was telling the kid he loves him as the mom was yelling why ... Not that he's any better imo. But from the evidence I've seen, the dad at least spent some miniscule amount of time with the kid, driving him to school and "talking" to him. Again, it doesn't sound like he listened to the shooter at all. According to the shooter's repeated pleas for help with his mental health.
I hope they both get several decades in prison and it sets a strong precedent for this type of horrific neglect turned accessory to murder.
Sending so much strength to the victims and the families who lost precious children. 🖤🖤

Exactly what I was thinking. What do they have the microphone under her damn nose? It almost seems as if she knew he was depressed and practically held his hand to commit suicide. I think she’s horrified mostly that her son DIDN’T kill himself after the shooting….cuz then she would have played that she was a victim in this too.
When my kids were teens (16, 14, 14, yes boy/girl twins) and my previous step-sons were also 16, 15) it was very rough. My 14 year old daughter was extremely emotional, depressed, combative and irrational at times. I would have to take the car keys, call her dad, lock all medications in a closet and we removed the lock on her door. She was set up with a therapist, we did several appointments with her, we spoke with her teachers and my boss was aware that I may need to leave in case of a family emergency. My ex-husband would get home by 3:30 because I worked until 6. We had 4 other kids (all boys) and needed to keep a close eye on them. I locked our bedroom door at night because I was worried she may try to hurt me. One day she asked me “why was your bedroom door locked?” I looked at her seriously, why were you trying my door at night? She attempted suicide twice and was in a mental health facility for a few weeks her sophomore year. Those were trying times but she did eventually come out on the other side. She would try to blame me for her problems but one day her brothers said to “shut up about blaming mom, Missy! She raised all 5 of us and you’re the only one out of control”. Sometimes teens go through Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ODD, which is not your everyday defiant situation. It doesn’t sound like EC had that, however he obviously had some deep feelings of not mattering to his parents. I suspect she didn’t want to take his MH problems as serious because it was going to cost her money that she wanted for her horses and maybe swinger parties/hotel rooms.

I don’t personally think it’s the guns, and I only say that because I think it’s the mentality and/or mental state that makes someone decide to kill. Whether they use bombs, knives, guns or their own hands.
I also believe it’s due to what is consumed as food or there lack of. Lack of nutrients and vitamins to make a whole body healthy. The US has less strict rules on what’s allowed in the food than any other country.
It’s proven that fried, processed and fast food is detrimental to our health, including mental.

He obviously had mental problems long before that. And his parents chose to not deal or did not know how to deal with them. That's when you let professionals take over the problem was much bigger than them. I might of hated having a psychologist at 16 years old but I was incorrigible and on drugs I didn't have enough credits to graduate high school. So my parents let my Dr. Take over so she had them ship me off to a disaplinarian boarding school. But she never vetted the school and it turned out to be a fake school that was dangerous to my life. And I ran away. But then I went to another private school in my state and did graduate from High School. So the point is my parents put into a professionals hands and now I can see why.

If parents unexpectedly get ahold of their teens journals most would be SHOCKED at what they have written down!!!! They hide their emotions from the adults, they don’t want to be bothered by their parents! Instead they say their parents are stupid, don’t love them, ignore them! Kids are full of fantasies, full of angst, full of raging emotions that they don’t know how to handle!
I will not judge the parents until I hear their side of what they knew, how involved they were as parents. Most parents will tell their kids that their door is always open, if they need help or to talk etc. How many of the people reading this heard this and actually told their parents their true feelings? They bought a troubled kid a gun instead of getting him therapy or talking to him themselves. Too many kids who survived this shooting were then at MSU’s shooting last year. Like one school shooting isn’t traumatic enough.
Early & consistent access to mental health services is SO important, but the people who want to keep guns in everyone’s hands refuse to support ANY bills that would guarantee funding for these services, so those who actually need them have proper access to them.
And then they point fingers all day long at everyone & everything else.🤢🤮

She is more a VIBE, a petulant childish vibe. When she speaks, she sounds barely controlled when she is arguing exhibits, testimony, etc. She loses it. Last trial at this firm for her unless the managing partners will be happy with a result of "appeal filed for incompetent counsel" and then the appeal is granted. There must be a professional watchdog organization like JCAHO for hospitals...or some other way to prevent "newbies" from throwing trials. The irresponsibility, lack of professionalism visible to LAYMEN, and the "incompetent council" appeal must have some currency. I hope it works. Attorney's should not be able to WILLFULLY throw a trial hoping the State will drop further prosecution after said appeal...this is a potentially law changing trial. Many people who are responsible gun owners with deep pockets are watching. This will have far reaching impact, likely requiring the schools more fully document and follow through WITH ALL mandatory reporting requirements. This is where the school dropped the ball, as I believe they should have notified the parents when they came in earlier, you either take him home while I document you stated you would stay with Ethan, or we will contact the police to transport him to the nearest ER for a Psych evaluation for harm to self or others. She would have taken him home as she refused to cover her son's insurance. She only covered herself. Needed the extra cash for 2 horses with room/board, farrier and vet fees, plus, ya know, she is also a skiier-expensive hobbies around where I live. Oh, and the, uh, extramarital affair can wear a not-so-young woman out. She had a lot going on outside of her SON.

Such a tragedy for everyone involved. I maintain that the parents were incredibly negligent in multiple ways. They're being held accountable since they played an integral part in the shooting. I have always felt that parents whose kids shot and killed also should have been held responsible in some legal capacity. IE the Sandy Hook Murders. Adam Lanza, the shooter, had mental health diagnoses yet multiple unsecured weapons were at his fingertips.

    • @wrmlm37
      @wrmlm37 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

Couldn't hold his mother accountable...she was his FIRST victim. She was, well, an interesting Mother. For months when he was in his room, they had no contact, really. He texted her about dinner, etc. Banal stuff but indicated he was isolated even from his Mother (who bought some if not ALL of the guns). Interestingly, the children he targeted were interacting with his own Mother, more than he was...she volunteered at the targeted school, I think since Adam attended. I always wondered if he THOUGHT she was meant to move with him, as he grew from 1 school in the district to another...
Another absolutely negligent "mother". She worked with kids! She knew about Columbine...she got first Karma.

The judge is doing her job. She cannot in any way order a defendant to stop coughing & making bodily noises. These trials destroy people’s health. We don’t have to be upset about that, but no one can also order her to suddenly be in perfect health.
We’ve all seen the physical toll & decline this has taken on her. That’s what being in custody does to people.
You all are acting like petty little juveniles & wanting these professionals to do the same.
Grow up. If you can’t handle watching a trial, and all that everyone involved HAS TO put up with, then don’t watch.
She can’t be held in contempt for coughing, nor for crying, no matter how fake & infuriating those tears are.
