"at sea level"? I mean isn't this the altitude where producing shock diamonds is easiest? And if some engine does not produce them you also could increase the expansion to a certain point right?

It's because the valves are mounted upside-down. The valve stem should point upwards so that it forms a gas barrier that allows the seals at the top to continue functioning. Instead they're in direct contact with cryogens. Replacing seals won't really fix this.

That is a form of acoustic instability called "screeching." It is a high frequency instability that is typically caused by pressure interactions across (laterally) combustion chamber where interactions between pressure oscillations directly feedback on the injectors. To suppress this mode you can do several things such as going to a single pintle injector and/or creating a set of baffles by machining chambers into injector face. For such a small chamber go with 3 at first. The Space Shuttle Main Engine used used 5 outer baffles and one inner one across the injector face...this helped suppress the lateral "screech" mode which can tear a chamber apart in seconds.

Hi! Thanks! The combustion chamber pressure on this one was solid, which was great given that our injector design was quite poor on this first prototype. The engine we're in the process of designing will hopefully be a good solution for small kick-stages and in-space applications (large orbital transfer vehicles, small/medium size landers, etc). It has a very low chamber pressure which is ideal for pressure-fed architecture in the vacuum of space, but not that great for sea-level testing!

They had me enter '0000' and, it worked. Nice.... I did a project like this a few years back...before youtube.. used No2 and LP... with a Co2 pressure system.. was able to control flow longer...as lp is liquid around 180psi and No2 is about 1000 psi...pressured with cos at 1800psi... used flow nozzles to adjust mixture... one down side was the risk of high pressures... but other wise had control burns for as long as 85 secs...
