Keep in mind the amplitude scaling in the video the trace looks troublesome, in reality the ripple is minimal.
The little Scope is put to the test once again. The Konnwei KW510 is in use for comparison purposes.
Of course not all alternator failure modes are detailed, rectifier diode short/open defects are not uncommon.

Ripple (Vpp) is not to exceed 0.4 V as detailed in the video. If you are referring to Alternator DC output, anywhere from 13.6V to mid 14V is typical. For legacy regulated units. Modern “smart” systems may vary significantly from these values.
