Following Junior Starlets' qualification to the FIFA World Cup, the ministry of sports through CS Ababu Namwamba awarded the team 10 million Kenya Shillings. The former Nairobi governor also rewarded the team with a trip to Coast and has also pledged to sponsor 50 fans to attend the world cup in the Dominican republic.
