I have the same mixer….its great!
Thanks! Great video, straight to the point, other "How tos video" I've seen is to complicated, yours was simple and easy to understand, just followed you on twitch, I stream there too. 👍
Thanks!! I tried not to make it too complicated and put too much information in it. Just wanted to give an overview of the basics.
Best video. Great explanation brother

Nice streaming setup!
Thanks Daryl! It works for me. 😊
virtual DJ and two computers. you are doing it right 😎 😎 😎
Thank you, thank you!
Hello, you have to PAD the 2 channels on the mixer that Rane One is connected to, then you can use the channel gain normally rather than using the gain at zero level because the signal is very hot. Those channels are meant to be used with microphones. If you connect a very hot signal in it, you have to PAD it. So press the pad buttons on those two channels. I hope it helps.
Thanks for your suggestion but it's not necessary. Everything is working perfectly here AS IS.
Tonight I decided to use the pad option to see how that sounded. I did a comparison between the two and I think using the pad option did sound just a slight bit better to my ears, So I'll be using the pad option for the line level from here on out. Thank you for suggesting that. Good call!
@@DJ2Legit007 You are the best and you are doing the right thing. That is how it was really designed to work. You PAD when an Instrument is connected because the signal is too too hot. Also, you get a better all-around sound quality, rather than only more highs when not Padded. Padding = Attenuation on some other mixers. I had that issue of the sound not sounding correct in my ears and had to read the manual.
"work-arounds"
Lol. Yep I always figure out a way somehow.
@@DJ2Legit007It's what we do, we figure things out. We are DJs, bother. 😎 😎 😎
The reason why we work things out is because we want to share our passion for music. It's not about fame, or fortune, or women (tho it is a Bone-Us lol). For real, our brains work differently from these wannabe Super Stars. We are artists first and foremost, IMO.
Loving this video thankyou but why wouldn’t you connect your mic to the Yamaha as it has mic effects?
Good question. The Yamaha sits in a very awkward place. I need it to stay there and ergonomically speaking, it's too far for me to reach when I'm speaking on the microphone.
I used OBS when I DJ'd for KL. It was really easy to use.
I love OBS! Totally agree on how easy it is to use.
🎧😊👌
Do the outputs from the Rane come out in Mono? I use a MG10XU for my SR2 and only have one XLR going into it and I get a stereo signal. Just curious why you have it set up with 2
@olaniyiabiola-oloke2142 No, you don't. It's physically impossible to get a stereo signal with only one output, even on the SR2.
One output = mono signal
Two outputs = stereo signal
So to answer your question, I am coming out of my Rane One's left and right main outputs and going into 2 channels on my mixer panned hard left and right to broadcast a stereo signal.
VirtualDJ has streaming built in - no need for second computer or OBS unless you're using other DJ software.
So you're saying VDJ can do multiple scenes with several different camera angles and layouts? That's what I use OBS for.
@@DJ2Legit007 Yes it has videoskins and handles multiple cameras. It's all in the manual.
@groovindj I'll definitely have to check that out even though I know I probably won't use it. Just seems like too much work for one computer. Thanks for the info!
@@DJ2Legit007 I stream directly from VDJ using videoskins and sampled video inserts. I also run Resolume on the same computer and feed the video into VDJ via Spout to add further graphics. No issues.
@@groovindjwow.
What made you switch controllers?
Scratching. I loveeeee to scratch when I'm DJing. I also love moving platters. Just watching them spin round and round while I'm DJing is a very relaxing and comforting feeling for me. I'm never going back to static platters again.
oh wow, clubs are still going strong in second life? the clubs i frequented are gone, but one has migrated to vrchat and the other has migrated to resonite, but i spend a bit more time in vrchat. my friend has stayed on SL, and has been getting very close with the lindens
Yep, some clubs are still going strong and of course, some aren't.
@@DJ2Legit007 yea, second life is in a strange limbo right now. they can pull themselves out of it, and they are going through this huge development phase, but theres a bit of pushback within the active community from the more boomer types
Question bruh, why not use a 4k camera instead 1080p?
Never thought about it. This one has been working great so far.
@@DJ2Legit007 oh okay.
Great Teachings 2 Legit!
Thank you!!
How is Twitch and other streaming services with copyrights? I know TH-cam will shut you down.
No copyright issues on Twitch or Tik Tok whatsoever as long as you don't publish your recorded streams.
While streaming, they don’t block out any music. After the stream, you’ll see red bars where there were copyright claims. I’ve never had a problem with getting strikes or anything like TH-cam. But, if you’re going to send the mic to someone, using OBS you can record the stream or, I use serato, with serato you can record the mix and have audio only. If you use the external mixer shown here, you can run your mic through it so it won’t be in the serato mix. Hope this helps.
i just use one laptop and hdmi to monitor works for me
Yep. It's possible to use only 1 laptop. I did it at a live gig a few years ago. It worked but I was nervous the entire time lol.
are we not gonna give a shout out the the fly on ur streaming laptop??
Umm I think you just did. The fly said "thank you for the shout out." ;)
@@DJ2Legit007 sorry it was to good to pass up :) hope ur day is good
What internet speed do you have to accomplish non dropouts?
Umm I don't know lol. I just looked on my internet bill and it said the following, "Internet 1000 (Fiber 1 GIG). My internet service is through AT&T. Hope that helps answer your question.
@@DJ2Legit007 I just looked it up: What does AT&T Internet 1000 mean? AT&T Internet 1000 means you get up to 1 Gig (1000 Mbps)† of download and upload speed. With an AT&T Fiber Internet 1000 plan, you get a strong, fixed wireless connection that supports video conferencing, gaming, and streaming.
Whoa!! Yea that would definitely work with your set up.

That’s very very good connection… most people have 300MBPS … so you might want to add “depending on internet speed for cam and music”…
Pourquoi ne pas utiliser l'option streaming de Virtual DJ, elle fonctionne parfaitement?
Unfortunately I have no idea what you said.
Why not use Virtual DJ's streaming option, it works perfectly?
@djpigi75 I do use it for Second Life but it cannot be used for Twitch or other platforms because I need to send video with it.
But Virtual DJ can do video streaming!
@@djpigi75 So you're saying I can take my OBS scenes and stream them through Virtual DJ?
No one can tell me that Rane decks are not the most beautiful decks out there.
Agreed!!
