I can dig it. I was an early adopter of the Bose column arrays. People are still amazed when they see and hear them so I’m sticking with them. I just finished paying off the QSC KS 118 subs which completes my K series set up. So for now I’m gonna go back to the old ways where we held onto speakers for 10+ years 😂 I seriously don’t wanna spend a gang of money on equipment anymore. It was eating into my profits.
Same here. My first column speakers were Bose and they did a great job for me. If your speakers are working for you and getting you paid, there really is no reason to buy more unless you just really want to.
Another great video. I appreciate your honesty. It doesn't pay trying to keep up with everyone. I'm staying within my budget and working with what I have. It's about playing great music and moving the crowd.
Welcome back to the light my brother…I love the facades and what it does. With the new 70s…only time will tell based on the need. Clients care more about how we as DJs make their events memorable as they connect with the music. Scratching, cool…but they’re too busy having a good time. Thanks for sharing.
Hahahaha Ikr! Thanks Shay! These thoughts have been on my mind for quite some time. I figured with the release of all this new tempting gear, now would be a good time to get my thoughts on a video.
@ yea man totally agree with this being namm weekend and apparently the year of the column arrays!! I could not agree with you more on the battery powered lighting man, if I buy something that’ll be the only big thing I get!
I learned a valuable lesson when I was on vacation in the Caribbean a couple years ago. I went to a popular club, it was packed, the music was on point, the dance floor was packed. I had to visit the DJ booth, the manager escorted me up....BAM!!! The DJ had a Numark Mixtrack plugged into the house system...I was blown away, then it hi me, people want music, they don't give a F%@K about our equipment...
Awesome video bro, I think the furniture booth makes you feel better. Kind of like, if you dress good you feel good. Lol I have my all white set up then I have my basic dj booth. I think you can charge more with a furniture booth. But, the music is what counts. Keep up the great work my friend, you're a real fun guy to watch and you help us djs out a lot.
That's a very good point! I am def NOT saying a furniture booth is not good or acceptable. For many DJs, it's the way to go. Yes, if it makes you feel good, then you're probably gonna do a better job DJing with it. Everyone has to decide what works best for them. DJ furniture is great!
I agree with you on the way DJs feel like you have to have the newest gear but in reality all you need is what works best for YOU. There's too many bandwagon DJs that follow the pack just to say I have what's new. The companies that make the equipment go with the options and ideas of the most popular DJs who only give their opinion on what should be added and what's the best. I took the stance of I get what works for me and what I can afford. Thanks for letting me get that out.
Yep. I stopped using my moving heads because I really hate running the wires to them lol. I am getting lazy in my old age. But now with my new battery powered movers, I won't have an excuse anymore lol.
Man!! Seriously though. During cocktail and dinner time, I have the coolest place to chill while the guests are eating, drinking and socializing. Can't believe I slept on facades as long as I did. They are EXTREMELY practical and useful for a wedding DJ, imo.
Great vid 2Legit, Truth! Especially on the facade vs furniture style. I have way too much going on at my shows, extra mics, paper work, a place to eat and like you said just some personal space. I do over 150 weddings a year staying 2 years booked out and I know what works for me and you're right. I have 4 EV50's and the 44G2's plus so many other great speakers so I'm set. I'm a little tired of DJ Bunn shaming facade to sell his stuff. Keep jamming bro and keep it real.❤

I'm 100 percent with you on a facade. I'm just not a fan of the t style podiums. One feeling I've never been able to describe other than just too out there you hit on the head...."I feel naked without it". I feel too exposed. I also run my subs coupled under my table and so my setups a facade just works best. Also the food thing, being able to tuck back there during dinner and eat. I just prefer facades for now. I'd like a rolling TV booth but it's just practical for our venues. I have a black adj event table that I use for my black setups but same thing, no great place to hide my subs and wire management takes just a little longer to make sure nothing is exposed.

Lol great idea!
I’ll help ya out - the EV70 and 90 suck. They have no mids. But for you clueless DJs with bad ears that think the 50s are acceptable for ANY use (they aren’t - they’re the worst speakers ever made), maybe you’ll like them.
The KC12 from QSC is mehhhh. Meant for small applications. They paid Justin and others for good reviews but after hearing them in person they’re very weak and don’t even sound good.
EVOX is hot trash too - they haven’t even had that system in their booth since COVID - because even RCF knows they made a shit product.
MAUI44G2 over everything . Only thing that is loud and sounds fantastic
Im looking at the REV 7 even though im still rocking with the DDJ-SX2, I tried with the RANE ONE but wasn't feeling it too much but the RANE PERFORMER looks nice @dj2legit
No worries. It's great that we have so many choices on the market now. Get what works best for you! For me? I'm getting that new Rane One MKII. Been waiting on it forever lol.
Hey 2 Legit do you still have access to TikTok? I sent you a message.
I do. Will respond shortly.
