I keep 3 to 4 lemons in a jar of water in the refrigerator fill the jar completely with water, they keep for weeks and weeks and I always have a lemon when I need it. I was throwing shriveled up lemons away. Thank you Ms.Lori for this recipe. No garden this year.
Thanks for this tip! I too was having to throw away shriveled or dried up lemons! I'll sure try it!
@@mjudygalloway8540it really works and I just leave mine on the counter.
I will try that! Thank you!
Thank you
I’m going to try that! I live in the boonies!
Miss Lori...you are sweeter than that zucchini bread...even with the glaze!! ❤️. I am so glad I found you and Mr. Brown on TH-cam. Your faith is noticeable and so much appreciated. I thank God for the encouragement you both offer your watchers in both word and deed...and sharing The Word, indeed!! ❤️. May God bless you and keep you, and make His face to shine upon you, and give you Peace 🕊️.
@@riverduck3 - agreed, I’ve been watching them for a few years now, and she is like one of my long distance cousins!☺️ And, her recipes are amazing!
I quartered a zucchini, chopped into pieces, added one jar of Prego (Farmers Market) marinara. Added garlic powder, slice up polish sausage - drop in with sauce and zucchini. Cook until zucchini is tender. Serve with garlic bread. It was good.
Yumminess
This is one of those things that came together as the "light" (our wonderful LORD) came on in my head. We all get stuck, and he gives us what he knows we will like. I had thought about putting it on spaghetti, but I knew I didn't want two starches. Spaghetti and bread.
Thank the LORD that the light comes on.
This sounds great and easy to make. I like easy in the summer. Thank you!
Maybe with pasta too.
One thing I can say Miss Lori, you are not lazy. I do not see a lazy bone in your body. You are amazing and you are loved by God as much as I am. God bless you
I bet blueberries would be good in this also😋 Thanks for sharing this recipe Miss Lori
My garden isn’t doing enough to preserve. It’s giving just enough to eat. I am so fortunate to live only 8 miles from an Amish community so, I am just buying from them.
I was literally just getting ready to make lemon zucchini bread. Now I’m going to have to watch this and make your version. 🍋 🍞 💞
It's so good!
@@WhippoorwillHoller I can’t wait to try it. 💞
Our garden here in North Texas was really good. We're in a 100 degree cycle right now so I'm sure it's near to done. Had a tun of potatoes so decided to can some first time. My arthritis in my hand was bad so was having trouble peeling. Then I had a wonderful idea and used my apple peeler to take off 80%. I'll sure be using that again. Love you sister Lori
Good idea
A couple of years ago, I bought a peeler that slides on my middle finger. It works great when I peel cucumbers, apples etc. Maybe that would help you also.❤
Miss Lori, your recipes are so easy, I love this one. I made 2 blackberry cobblers from fresh picked blackberries today. Our son took one home with him, he was here for a visit. Puts a smile on his face when Mom makes him a dessert. 😊
Thanks Ms. Lori & Mr. Brown❤️ 7-23-2023
I made wilted cucumber salad (onion, garlic, vinegar, sugar) with zucchini instead of cucumbers. It's great on a hot day! Also if you have an abundance, it dehydrates really fast.
The thing I like about this recipe is how easy it pulls together.😊
This is delicious! I doubled the recipe and shared it with my neighbor who had quite a few out of town guests. I also served it to my grandchildren, who sometimes can be picky eaters. Everyone loved it. Very moist and lemony - the blueberries added an extra deliciousness!
😊💕
Mrs Lori you would be so proud of me I've canned okra and tomatoes, spegettie sauce , tomatoes pressure canned all that.i cheated I bought one of those nesco electric canners, lol made tomato past and pizza sauce all in last 3 days .I grew all my ingredients except garlic.❤🙏
I am so proud! Good job!
Bless your heart ❤️ and thank you for not using the mettle spoons on the mettle pans, it does make a big difference on these cells phones and the hearing, thank for being so considerate, love 💕 you and your videos
We had a drought here in Oklahoma too but my garden did well up to July. I canned a few tomatoes and green beans and put some crowder peas in the freezer. We love zucchini bread. Can’t wait to try this!!
This is literally the same recipe I am getting ready to make! Good to know it’s going to be amazing 💞
I will be trying this recipe. My garden has not faired well. Prior to gardening season, I found out I have a heart condition. I'm doing the best possible with the current difficulty. No other person to help. I know God has all things in His loving hands. So, I trust Him and still try to get things accomplished. God bless you and yours. Thank you for your videos.
Take care of yourself
I was planning a garden too but also ended up hospitalized with a heart condition last fall,l was unaware of until it decided to kick my butt,lm better but not able to work a garden with no help, and l dont tolerate the heat well,l was so disappointed,l just try to buy from gardeners that have some extra to sell.Theres nothing like home grown food. Take care !😊
Absolute perfect timing!! I have zucchini and squash exploding here in my Colorado garden!
Perfect!
I adore your mixing bowls, Lori! Zucchini is so versatile. I use it equally in sweet baked goods and in savory dishes. I bet leftovers of this bread would make delicious french toast.
I put my shredded zucchini in large plastic freezer containers. My bread recipe calls for 2 cups then I put one cup oil that it calls for in with it then freeze. Helps keep it from drying out and getting stringey.
Thank you for sharing that trick with us!
This recipe looks so delicious. I’m gonna make it today for my hubby and myself. The lemon is a special touch and I can’t wait to get started! Thank you Ms. Lori for all your hard work and recipes for us in video land. God bless you and Mr. Brown.
Hope you enjoy
God bless you for keeping the noise down, it wouldn’t be that loud under normal circumstances but when it comes through the cell phone, it makes it sound louder, thank you for being so considerate, love 💕 you and your videos, I can only get you on the cell phone
This bread reminds of my mom she loved cooking❤
The lemon zucchini bread was fantastic very lemony 😊
Watching can't help but notice those beautiful tomatoes and beans, beautiful
I have a bounty of zucchini and I love lemon. I will make this gluten free and add blackberries. I’m sure it will be delicious.
Hello Brown Family😊 . Thanks for sharing your zucchini bread recipe✍️. I love to eat zucchini bread 🍞. I've never ate lemon in one 🍋. I'm keeping the recipe ✍️. Have A Blessed Weekend 😊.
I'm looking at 3 huge zucchini and lemons so I'll make it for church this Sunday. Prayers needed for our church to find a new Pastor, Redeemer Lutheran in Owatonna Minnesota. Our previous one recently retired . Thank you🙏
Yum I’m going to try this! The bugs got to my zucchini plant but I picked a huge zucchini at the farm up the road. It was so huge I got 8 cups of shredded zucchini from it! My tomatoes didn’t do well but I picked a bunch at the farm and put up 21 pint jars. We’re sure going to enjoy them this winter!
Sounds great!
Miss Lori, I made this bread this morning. I followed your recipe exactly. It is excellent. Thank you.
Wonderful!
Just love watching you Whip up your food from Scratch, I think I could eat some of everything you make ,,,Thanks, I'll be watching for More...
I love that picture you use in your video when you and Mr. Brown were younger. Even back then you make such a stunning couple, but what I really love about the two of you, is your down to earth lack of pretentiousness. You are who you are, and beautfiul sweet people! You have aged with beauty and grace!
Thank you so much
our garden over flowing this year
I’m going to try this as soon as possible!!! We love lemon, and zucchini, so this is perfect! I did want to mention, since you kindly gave the formula to make it… if you don’t have cake flour, since the recipe calls for 2 cups, you can use 1 3/4 cups ap flour and 1/4 cup corn starch. ☺️🙏❤️
I make zucchini bread, but I never thought of adding lemon juice and lemon zest. It sounds awesome. I will make it this way. Thank you for the recipe.
So good to be back in the community... and back to normal after traveling. And upon returning to my homestead, I found that my zucchini has gone wild. Thanks for the help and inspiration.
Welcome back!
This looks scrumptious! Thank you Ms Lori for another wonderful recipe, can’t wait to make this!
Here in Central Florida, we’ve had such hot weather! The heat index every day is 115F or more, so my garden goodies are all fried on the vine! But I do have 5 pounds of Zucchini that I’m working thru,so this recipe will be moving up to the top of the list, probably for tomorrow!
Thank you for being you, Miss Lori. I appreciate you more than you know. You and Heather, the Kneady Homesteader, are the main ones that have given me the courage to not only start canning for the first time in my life (and I’m 73!), but you in particular, gave me the nerve to start a real garden. For the first time in my life, I actually planted something and actually got it to live more than a week!! Collards we’re awesome and got more than a few tomatoes before this awful heat set in. But that’s ok, I’ll try again and next time, will plant more veggies. I’m hoping to get some butter beans so I can do your yummy-looking succotash! I know you’ll continue being a blessing to all of us, and I send you love and pray for your, and Mr Brown’s, good health!
So sweet, Thank you,
Happy canning!
Happy Gardening!
@@WhippoorwillHoller will do! But the gardening will have to be put off a bit until this weather cools off. I’ll still be canning! Or making bread. God bless you and Mr B! Have a great weekend.
I made your lemon zuchhini bread, but made it into muffins. My husband and I loved it. I made another batch making 1 change. I added 1/3 cup more zuchini and made it into muffins and entered it in the county fair and won 2nd place, a red ribbon. Thank you for the recipe.
Sounds great!
Lots of canning with tomatoes, juice, salsa, and taco sauce. Green beans too. Freezing okra and zucchini and squash. Going to make sweet pickle relish of your recipe, thanks to my church friend gave us lots of cucumbers. Can't wait to see how it goes. Thanks for all the videos and recipes,God bless.
Miss Lorrie nicely done. Love how your zucchini bread looks. I will be making your recipe for zucchini bread. Take care say hi to Mr. Brown. Have a good week
Oh Miss Lori, thank you so much for this recipe! My zucchini plants have been producing like crazy and even though I share with family and friends, I still manage to have lots left over; this has been an exceptionally good year for my garden! I was going to make zucchini bread for Mr. Man but wanted something other than the usual cinnamon/nut recipe and had heard of lemon zucchini bread and here you up and do a video on it... what a refreshing change! I never thought about freezing shredded zucchini either so thank you for solving another problem for me. My Blue Lake green beans are busting out too and would appreciate any tips on preserving them; is freezing or canning best? I do vacuum pack and freeze a lot. Love your cute little feet and look forward to seeing what you're up to in a few days. As always. Love and blessings to you, Mr. Brown, and your family!❤
I'm glad I found this video when I searched lemon zucchini bread because I used to be subscribed to your channel on my old account so now I can subscribe to you again.
I’ve many many loaves of zucchini nut bread and zucchini nut cake but never this recipe so I’ll try this soon.
Thank you for sharing this.
Hi Miss Lori and thank you for making this delicious recipe
I have not had zucchini bread in a while and it sure sounds good with adding lemon and lemon glaze on top. Can't wait to try this one. Thank you Miss Lori.
I haven't gotten to have zucchini bread in such a long time. Looks fabulous ❣️
Great recipe! I made this recipe into muffins this morning with the frozen zucchini I had in the freezer. I used Miss Lori’s recipe for the cake flour as well… turned out so good! Fresh pot of coffee brewing and me and the man are gonna enjoy a few muffins for a treat after some yard work. Thank you!
Wonderful!
Mrs. Lori, you do what I do. I taste all my batter and bread dough. I do it for 2 reasons. First, I like the taste of it and always have. Second, my taste buds know when I need something else added or I missed an ingredient.
Have you ever thought about putting together a cookbook? I would absolutely purchase it!! I have made and love so many of your recipes!
Oh, the lemon! Yum!
Zucchini bread is my favorite, I really like nuts in it. Lemons and blueberries make me think of cookies they had at my old job they were soooo good.
Our garden is doing really well getting a lot of tomatoes and squash is pretty slow but the corn is wonderful. I tried that email address, Swan Creek crafts that you told me about and I couldn’t find it. I’ll keep trying. Thanks for the videos!Love ❤❤❤
I'll check on it
Our garden here in South Carolina did excellent this year. I've probably canned enough to last years, and gave away lots. I'm blessed with a full pantry, under my bed, anywhere I can find space to store.
Oh my goodness this was wonderful ! Thank you for sharing
Thank you miss Lori!🥰
My name is Wilma Smith this is my husbands page we watch your videos and love them especially your little house and lifestyle. We are planning on selling our house in the near future and downsizing. We're both retired now and live in SE Tennessee. Was wondering what size your little cabin is looks about like what were looking to do. Your just down to earth and simple. My kind of gal. You and Mr Brown keep doing videos and we will sure keep watching.
Here it is December and I have fresh lemons on my tree so it’s time to make this recipe with my frozen shredded zucchini! My mother-in-law loves all things lemon so I’m going to give her a loaf for Christmas.
Sounds great!
I needed this recipe because I have four zucchini in the fridge that need used. Thank you miss Lori! ❤
Hope you enjoy
@@WhippoorwillHoller I know it'll be good!
My garden is doing really well! 🙌🏼💛
Looks good. Tomorrow I plan to make Large cupcakes using my zucchini spice recipe. It uses 3 cups of zucchini. My daughter gave me some zucchini. Thumbs up

Great idea!!
I love the Danish whisk like you’re using in this video!
I’m glad you told us where your freezer is. I have wondered and wondered and wondered about that. 😊
Oh .. great video!!❤
"Larapin" is such a sweet expression! My Mama used to say that, but it's one you seldom hear anymore. I love it!! Thank you for bringing me back some happy memories!
You are so welcome!
I had zucchini bread years ago, it was good. I've never made it though. I like the twist you gave it of the lemon juice. Maybe I'll have to make some now with your recipe. Thank you.
Beautiful bread and sounds so amazing.
Sending love and prayers to you and Mr. Brown.
Mine are going in the oven now! I sure do enjoy your videos! You are so sweet!!!!❤
I have zucchini coming out the wazoo and have been looking for more recipes. Baking the Lemon zucchini bread as we speak… can’t wait to taste it! ❤️
Hope you enjoy
How did yours turn out?
My grandfather’s garden had so much zucchini we couldn’t keep up. I was a model in my teens and 20s, and ate sparsely. My grandmother, always cognizant of vitamins and nutrients, would take the larger zucchini and slice them about 1” thick and place them round-side down in a fry pan with about 1/4” of water. She’d take a fork and pierce the zucchine a few times. She’d place a dollop of pasta sauce on each round and bring the water to simmer. After the zucchini was cooked through, she sprinkle parmesan cheese on top of each zucchini round and place the pan under the broiler for a couple of minutes until the cheese was toasted. It was delicious, low-fat, low-cal, low-carb and very filling after eating the equivalent of part of a large zucchini.
Yumminess
That bread looks delicious!!
Miss Lori to the rescue! I have zucchini coming out of my ears just now! You are my super hero!
Yummy and thank you for sharing many blessings to you and your family 😊
Thank you for the recipe!
Looks great! We are burning up here, so no garden. We are going on 15 days straight at over 100* weather. Not a bit of relief in site either. Glad you are feeling ok now. I need to make some bread too. My neighbor has been providing me with veggies, and I am thankful of that. Tell Mr. Brown hello and see yall soon!
Prayers for rain
@@WhippoorwillHoller Thank you
Looks SO Amazing!
You must have read my mind. I grew so many Zucchini and even though I am thanking the Lord for the abundance I was stumped as to what to do with them. I will be making this. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
That bread sounds so good, thanks for sharing the recipe with us!!! My garden in NW PA is doing good this year, my tomatoes especially and I mostly planted Dr. Wyche's (my favorite) early girl and mushroom basket ( first year trying these!) Have a blessed day Mrs. Lori ❤
This sounds wonderful I’ll be making it very soon 😊
I made this today. My first zucchini bread and it is amazing!! I didn't even put the icing on. I will be making again. I used small loaf pans and It did take 55 minutes for my loaves to bake. Thank you so much for this delicious recipe ❤❤. I have made 2 other zucchini items, fritters and brownies and both turned out bad, this recipe was for dummies for sure😊
Wonderful!
Looks nice and moist😃👏🏼😋 ty so much
I promise Ms. Brenda I will save the next Zucchini that I get blessed with and make your Best Lemon, Zucchini Bread! I have been making a loaf pan breads just in my air fryer and always turn out great! Such a pleasure to spend my Sunday morning you all!

Love the ingredients, will try this! Thank you
Hi Ms. Lori & Mr. Brown. I needed this recipe. I have some zucchini I'd like to use. I have so much put up. And I was going to Google a recipe for zucchini bread a while ago. I'm so glad that I didn't. You're really a great cook. Easy to understand and follow your lead. I've come to Georgia to be with my grandchildren for a bit. And my youngest grandson 4, will eat any and everything. And if I say cake to the other finicky one he just might try it. But he is tuff. I guess we'll see. Thanks so much for this. I still need to catch up on the last 3 of your videos. And I'm sure I'll love them as I do all of them. Love and God bless❤
So good
