I’m a senior woman living by myself so I appreciate the meals for two. Sometimes that’s a meal for me for three or four times, but something I didn’t necessarily think about. Thank you.
Oh Ms. Lori you are a saint! It’s been a real struggle for me to cook for 2 since my kiddos are all gone. Going from cooking for an Army to just us 2 has not been easy for me at all! The more knowledge i can gain as far as cooking for 2, the better off we will be! I sure hope you continue this journey with cooking for2. I know so many people old and young would benefit from this. Especially those newlyweds! Our neighbor just got married and this would be awesome to pass along to his new wife!! I sure hope you show us how to bake bread or rolls for 2, as well! Thank you and God Bless you and Mr. Brown!!!😊
With the price of groceries, we all need small batch cooking. Pound cake and fruit crisps are my favorite. Great timing, my sweet tooth is having a fit. Blessings to you both!
Just love UR small meals cooking, it's just my youngest son & me! He doesn't always eat a meal, he snacks too much, in his room to watch Netflix or play 1of his 10 electric bass guitars in his room too! He is Musician, has had his own Band since age 17, has played in Myrtle Beach, for many years, from Carolina Beach, our home! I came to Fayetteville,NC in 2002 to be near "family"!
Hello, Miss Lori and Mr. Brown. I’ve been traveling and am spending time catching up on the last few shows. Gosh, I’ve missed you so much. And I’ve missed this whole wonderful community, too. It’s like coming home for a reunion as I read through the comments. Love you all.
Hey Miss Lori, I just love my Mixing/Blending Fork👍. It's a Woman's prerogative to change Her mind🤭. What a wonderful recipe just enough, thank you❤. Hi too Mr Brown 🤗😘. JO JO IN VT 💞
I love love love these small batch cooking recipes! I have been trying to down size my cooking so we don’t have to eat everything for a week!😂 I really love baking recipes for two!I hardly bake any more because we either waste it or we don’t need to eat that much of sweets but I miss having something after dinner!
We LOVE all of your videos but with just of the two of us we have to admit this serious is just hitting it off the pages for us! What a God send y'all are. Blessings to you both. 🙏
I love the recipes for two! I hope you continue to share a few of those as well as all the the other things you share. Love this channel and you and Mr Brown.
Thank you Ms. Lori. These recipes sound yummy. You inspire me when you say -- It's just about that easy. And your camera placement is very helpful too. You've learned quite a lot since the beginning. What a brilliant lady.
Thank you for small batch recipes. It’s just me and my husband. I don’t like throwing food out. I can and freeze food but I’m out of space. Please do more.
Thank you so much for your cooking for 2 recipes. I love desserts, and I am a diabetic. I have tried the sweeteners, and I can not handle the after taste. Yes, I have tried them all. I grew up eating very good desserts that my mother made. No cake mix either always butter and sugar, and good eggs. The cooking for 2 is great. I can eat a little at a time, and do not get tired of a cake. I love pound cakes and I will try this. Thank you again for the cooking for 2 recipes.
I really appreciate the recipes for small batches occasionally. This was excellent. I enjoy both pound cake and apple crisp. You hit my hot button. Thank you.
Love this! Would be wonderful to do small batch series❤️ great for elder or retired people or for younger single people or married couple without children starting out❤️ Thank you for sharing!❤️
I love the small batch cooking videos, Lori. (Although, I also really enjoy your lunchroom lady videos too!) If I had room in the freezer I'd just make regular recipes and freeze the extras but there's no room! (That's a good problem to have.) Another benefit to making a small cake or dessert is that if you have an air fryer you can bake in that and save heating a whole big oven and overheating your kitchen. Thank you for including the recipe cards at the end.
I just copied both to my special notebook. Thank you very much! These could be nice little gifts. I have a granddaughter who doesn't bake and her fiance loves it when I make pie or banana bread and put in to-go containers. This is perfect! One for him, one for me.
I am so happy to see you get every last bit of batter.Other channels are not always getting everything out of mixing bowl. That's wasteful. But to each his own
Thank you Miss Lori..... Especially loved the pound cake recipe for two. Thank you also for introducing me to, 'Tasha Tudor'. I bought her book, 'The Private World of Tasha Tudor' and fell in love with this dear soul. I can't begin to tell you the peace, joy and calmness you and Mr. Brown have brought into my life just when I needed it the most. Love & Prayers. Jody. P.S., Was also able to find your very first cook book...' Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow.' I love it.
Mr Brown always loves Miss Lori's baking. I like to see a man enjoying his food, cooked with love. It's true what they say, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Mr Brown reminds me of my late dad in many ways. Love to you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! If I want something I'll bake big...then get stuck eating it all. Please do more of these 2 person recipes all meals! Just 2 of us here now...
Looks yummy just like that! I use to scrape my Mom's Bowls whenever she made a cake or cupcakes! Everyone loved her Sweets! I use also to scrape the egg white frosting she made and sometimes she would make me a little more! What good desserts😊 I Miss her and my Daddy too! Wonderful Loving Christian Parents😊❤❤
Love these small batch recipes Ms Lori. 😊😊 ❤. I am guessing more of us would like to see more recipes like these small batches. God bless and keep you and Mr. Brown. God bless all.
Thank you so much for the small batch recipes. My husband and I are retired and only have one daughter so we just don't need to cook for an army. This will help us manage our portions without giving up on dessert entirely.
Ms. Lori thank you for these recipes. I live with daughter and two grandchildren. I live with her because both of them are autistic, and she moved 6 hours from our home we had lived all our lives. But thank you for recipes without chocolate, my grandson is allergic and its ruff on the rest of us chocolate lovers. I love watching you and Mr. Brown. a couple years in my early childhood we lived in Russellville. I have wonderfully memories of the mountains there.💞💞💞
Thanks for sharing your recipes with us! Cooking is like a roller coaster! At a young age in grade school, I learned to cook for a family of 6! I got married & I had to learn to cook for 2 (that was harder), along came 2 kids & I had to cook for four until they became teenagers, I cooked for 4 + more! When they got married, I went back to cooking for 2! When our family increased to 11 no problem I cooked & enjoyed it until they started getting to the stage of changing their minds what they liked so we just took everyone out to eat! Problem solved! 49 years later with 11 in the family, we can never get everyone together! 😢 Blessings❣️❣️
Thank you for all of your recipes! I cook all the time. I rarely go out to eat because it is not up to my standards! I cook the recipes that my Mom and Grand Mom taught me and your recipes are spot on with my relatives.
I’m sure enjoying these meals for two. I love that little bunt pan. These are simple desserts that pack a punch of flavor. God bless you and Mr. Brown. I hope you’ll enjoy your summer vacation.
Thank You Miss Lori for making these smaller batch recipes. We retired from the military after 20 years of service, all the kids have moved within an hour drive to visit, but its just the Veteran and I most days. unless on Sunday the kids and grand kids come to visit. We appreciate these videos and you sharing with the community, a skill you have mastered for you and Mr Brown. Keep up the sharing, WE APPRECIATE YOU BOTH. Many Blessings
made this for the second time today cause my husband just loves it ! well he had a friend stop and he loves sweets so sent the cake home with him and making another now . the best recipe ❣️‼️👍🏼 a real keeper ‼️
I love the smaller recipes because I always make too much for my husband and I. If I could only make smaller amounts we would not be able to eat too much. That will be nice in helping to lose weight too.
This is awesome! I cook for me and my husband and his parents so I can do these and freeze them so they have a weekly serving. My in-laws are 97 and 92 and he loves his sweets. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and God bless you
Your house and the way you do everything’s reminds me so much of my grandma and my house when I was a child and teen. I just want to go there and stay ❤️
we are now down to a 2 person household and i have been doing small batches and love seeing yours. I been making double batches of cookies and cook 10 -12 of them, then i roll the rest into balls and place them on sheet pan freeze them and when frozen i put them in ziplock bags and take out as many as i want to cook. Cakes I divide the batter into 2 small cake pans - bake one and freeze one. the frozen one works out great.
Yay! You could do a small batch series play list. So many young people without kids need these small batch recipes.
I agree but like her instincts about what to do. Any small batch cooking would be great especially baking breads like
3x5 inch mini loaves.
So does us seniors need it.
Good idea! a small batch play list!
I just retired and we need all batch recipes ❤
We always search for recipes 'for 2' for the same reasons. A lot of time just trying to cut a recipe by half does not work out well.
I’m a senior woman living by myself so I appreciate the meals for two. Sometimes that’s a meal for me for three or four times, but something I didn’t necessarily think about. Thank you.
this cake is enough for a small loaf pan... enough for 1-2 people ...
Oh Ms. Lori you are a saint! It’s been a real struggle for me to cook for 2 since my kiddos are all gone. Going from cooking for an Army to just us 2 has not been easy for me at all! We are going to enjoy these so much! 😘😘😘
With the price of groceries, we all need small batch cooking. Pound cake and fruit crisps are my favorite. Great timing, my sweet tooth is having a fit. Blessings to you both!
Oh fruit crisps sound so good.
