The Way I Used To Be was my favorite read of 2017. It's definitely very triggering - from a survivor's standpoint - but I also felt more identified with than I have ever before with a novel. Even though my situation was very different, my mental status after was very similar. (It's her older brother's best friend who does it & there's the added violation of it taking place in her own bedroom when her whole family is home.) So heartbreaking, but so beautiful as well.

Reading on the computer is annoying and not very good for your sight, but it's better than being unable to read! Or at least that was what I prioritized. I made sure to take some breaks, though. Also, if you feel bad about not supporting authors, think that you will definitely be able to do so in the future. It's not a permanent thing. Discounted books are also good, but they still require money. Sometimes, I didn't even have 5$ to spend. Still, it's good to be on the lookout for offers. I sometimes managed to convince my mom to buy a few books by saying they were great prices.
I cry every time I click one of these videos because I KNOW my TBR is just going to get even bigger (and it's already big enough!) ;--; But I also can't resist
