If you're being mistreated, don't be afraid to walk out. Can always find a job somewhere else. The 2 weeks rule is just a suggestion, and only really if you like the place/need them as a reference.

similar story, my friend saw my moms texts to her dad while we were coming home on a plane from a hockey tournament and apparently both of them were cheating on my dad and her mom for the entire season and basically she told me we told our other parents and then both of our lives turned into an episode of friends overnight. fun times. the whole experience made the two of us closer than sisters, even tho we were already super close to begin with.
So I woke up and went to go get breakfast from the kitchen (I eat before shower) and I walked into the room and froze. I saw my brother trying to hang himself. I was confused, scared and other feelings. I grabbed him and yelled for mom and she rushed in so fast I swear you could hear her down the block. 23 years later he has kids a wife and a happy family. I will never forget the look of "this is it" on his face.

Was once on a bus ride to another city when my phone died. I asked a friendly older gentleman if I could borrow his phone and he agreed. He fell asleep while I was trying to reach my friend and suddenly a text flashed at the top of the screen. I feel super bad for reading it but I guess karma came for me in the form of hitting me right in the damn feels by reading the texts.
He had been searching for his estranged son for the last 2 and a half years. After tracking down the son's whereabouts he tried to make contact only to discover that the son had died a couple months prior in a motorcycle accident. He was on his way to pay his respects to his son's grave. The guy texting him was reassuring him while all the older man's texts were in capital letters saying "I HAVE NOTHING LEFT, he was everything to me"

It was my senior year, a freshman had just attempted to commit suicide in front of the cafeteria by slitting his wrist and throat with a razor blade he had brought to school. The screams of pure horror, blood everywhere and the look of regret on the kid's face will never leave my head. Thankfully students removed their sweater/shirts to stop the bleeding until and ambulance came. It was a very gloomy day that day and the teachers had a long talk with us about mental health. Last I heard he was recovering in the hospital and he never returned to school after that. I hope he is doing well.

When I was in elementary school, I found a book on witches. This book wasn’t a kid’s book, it was an actual book that gave out recipes for killing an boiling children, how to worship Satan, and how to summon demons. I still remember it. It still haunts me.

One time "in my younger days," I went to pick up some drugs (let's just say it definitely wasn't marijuana lol). I hit up my usual dealer, drove down the short side street he was waiting on, did a quick window-pass, and drove off; but then got stuck at a red light a few hundred feet later. While waiting, I glanced in my rear view mirror and noticed a cop coming up behind me. My heart pounded as he approached. I knew I was screwed (being white in that area was _really_ obvious). The cop car came to a stop about a hundred feet behind me. "It's over," I thought to myself. Then I watched in shock as my dealer suddenly ran out, grabbed money from the cops hand, and passed a very nice sized bundle through the window to him!

A couple years ago, I was working for a hospital in medical records. At the time, my job was to go to different locations to sort through physical files. I’d find what was to be shredded & what was to be kept. One day, I was working in the main hospital building in the basement. They had an area called The Cages; chain linked fences that were sectioned off & wrapped with chains & at least two separate locks so people didn’t have easy access.
The section I was working in had rows of boxes filled with files I had to go through. Whenever someone came in, they couldn’t see me, so I always made sure to be quiet as people thought the area was haunted, & I didn’t want to spook anyone.
I heard someone come in from the usual entrance, but shortly after I heard a back door where the only people who have access is maintenance. Not unusual, I stay silent. After a while, I hear moaning & I start freaking out. I knew everyone who worked in maintenance as they helped on shred days & when I needed help moving boxes from one location to another; most of them knew I spent a lot of my time in The Cages. I freaked out & snuck my way closer to the entrance of my cage to get a glimpse of who it might be - because I’m nosy - while making sure I was covered by boxes.
When they finished, I watched a nurse leave from the front & heard a maintenance employee leave from the back. I never knew who it was, but I never saw a specific person in maintenance again & he was replaced shortly after. Definitely wasn’t supposed to see or hear that.

Something similar to the first story happened to me in freshman year of high school. My dad was living with a friend and one day me and his friend's daughter were using his PC. She whispered "there's something you need to see" and opened a file that was a suicide note. The only thing I remember about it was that he said it's not my fault and he doesn't want me to feel bad because he can't go on living anymore (he was having a lot of problems with work and money, which is why he was living at a friend's house). I never confronted him about it and will never be able to talk to him about it now because he died last Christmas.

The next day the teacher quit his job. I still have PTSD

The first one hits hard at home I found my dad suicide note in his drawer when I was looking for batteries for my controller it was in an envelope so I got curious and opened it it talked about how much he loved us and how much he’s gonna miss us don’t remember what it actually read because it was 20 years ago so I started to cry so put it back in the envelope got my batteries and I know what you think if I was there V batteries in my desk drawer in his room well my dad like hoarding batteries anyways my dad never committed suicide but there was almost an attempt to do it but that’s when he noticed me at the corner of his eye and then he stopped he was going to his closet to get his gun But that’s when he saw me and changed his mind pretty quickly he still here today and I love them very much
If they're ever thinking about suicide or if they're depressed, talk about it. You're the biggest cure that will help them through this time.

For those of you that know the “Robot Show” in Shinjuku, Tokyo, my wife and I were taking the stairs done several levels to get to where the show was taking place and we saw a secret door open on one of the stair landings, and inside there were many men in suits and naked women in bondage stuff beating up the guys. That spy-swap thing really confused me because I saw a similar thing in Toronto. I asked my mom “Mom, you see those two people?” And I pointed to them. “Yes, why?”

it was around the time where I was losing my baby teeth, this one baby tooth I had was at the phase where it’s practically dangling, ready to fall at any moment.
My parents had just tucked me into bed, I decided to stay up for a few minutes playing with my loose tooth, it then fell off, an immediate wave of excitement and shock falls over me and the first people I wanted to tell were my parents.
If you haven’t connected the dots and figured out where this was going, let me point out the big details: it was late at night and I was going to go to my parents bedroom, a recipe for many things.
so I immediately get out of my room and walk over to my parents room, my plan was assuming that my parents were asleep, I would just wake them up, turns out they were not asleep because I walked in on them having special adult time. I immediately closed the door after realizing what they were doing, I think the funny part about this was that my dad was on top of my mom, and when I opened the door, he fell off her out of pure panic.
I hurry back to my bedroom (I don’t know what I was feeling at the time), a few seconds or maybe minutes go by and my parents come into my bedroom and they ask me what I needed, I told them my tooth fell out and they didn’t make much of a reaction than I thought they would. this is the first time I’ve told this story and I really wanna tell this at a family gathering since my family (mainly the parents) love telling embarrassing stories about me, my siblings and my cousins.

I was hiking in the mountains. It was near the front of the range and I could see out to the ocean. Next thing i know a helicopter flies by about 60 meters off the ground. It's a big cargo type, a Chinook. It's painted flat black and has no markings or numbers of any kind. i can tell it's old by the ripples in the surface and evidence of repairs. It drops straight off the edge of the mountain, skims treetops to a small landing strip, stays there 5 minutes, then flies out low over the ocean and follows the coast until it's out of sight. I think I saw a major drug drop.

Hearing the story about the mom eating crackers in private while giving all she could to her kids really got me in the feels. That "dad's suicide note" really got me. We don't appreciate how our parents hold on to life because they love us. I have been suffering from depression for about 2 years now and I know how hard it is to stay like that. Idk how some people hide it so well. I was so upset and this made me more upset as it just reminded me how shitty child I am to my parents. I disrespect them ,yell at them, I hold on to grudge against something that happened years ago. I hate myself.

4 years ago my dad wanted to play an old dvd we had of me when I was little to remember the good old days, turns out my parents sextape started playing ... I was walking into my apartment one day when I noticed people running out of the building next to mine. It was 4 teenage boys and the hopped over the railing to get into the car. 2 made it into the car abd began to speed off. The other 2 were trying to get into the moving vehicle. When I saw speed off I mean they floored it out of there and are lucky no one was driving by. The other 2 both faceplanted trying to get in and were still running after the car after it made it to the road. I know this video is like 2-3 years ago but the first story is also something that kinda happened to me but nit really at the same time. My dad left his computer open and went somewhere for the day. I went to use his computer to print out my homework but that’s when I found an opened word document. It was a letter to his parents and I read it. He mentions stuff like losing money and his business not doing so well and him apologising for his past actions (apparently he took high risk gambles for money and so on and lost lots of money from it, etc and he has borrowed money from his parents and lost that money the same way through gambling or bad investments) and the ending was what shocked me. He admitted to having sucidal thoughts and so on. I was also only 14-15 therefore I had absolutely no idea how to confront my dad about it. I ended up closing the document and keeping that secret to myself. It’s been over a year and my dad’s doing better now. He went to rehab last year and still hasn’t told any of us about how he had sucidal thoughts before.
This is kinda long, but I’ll tell my own experience.
Small context first. My family and I are currently living in a subdivision. We had our house built, which means we’re the first people to ever live here. Of course, that doesn’t mean that we’re the first to enter, since the workers back then would check the houses if there’s anything that needs to be checked.
Anyway, I lost my school notebook one time. I asked my mom if I could borrow some of hers, and she simply said to look around the house. We had a lot of spare notebooks in the house, so I just decided to check the cabinets and such if there’s something I could use. When I searched under the television, I found a simple notebook. I thought it was one of my mom’s, so I didn’t bother and brought it with me.
Next day, I was taking notes in my classes. Weird ass me always start in the back when using notebooks instead of the front, kinda like manga. So when I was flipping the pages of the notebook, I saw writing in red ink. At first, I didn’t mind it. I thought it was my mom’s and she used it for calculating the bills or alike. So when Class was over, I decided to check the notebook out.
But instead of bills or prayers that my mom would write, it was nothing like that. It was a diary, dating all the way from November 2013 to February 2014 (I found the notebook in 2019). I didn’t think much of it at first, but then I realized it wasn’t my mom’s handwriting. I looked back at the cover and noticed that there was a signature, which wasn’t my mom’s. I decided to read the entries to know who it might have belonged to.
I was hecking confused when I read it. I thought I was reading some cheesy, romance story, but NOPE! It was real. About some girl that fell in love with someone from the military, but the guy didn’t reciprocate her feelings or anything like that. I really thought it was a fake, but the writing sounded too natural to be fake.
I’m not sure if the owner noticed that it was missing for that long, since it was her ‘remembrance notebook’. Something she would look at and remember her ‘childish past’ or whatever.
Up till now, I don’t know who it belongs to, and I don’t know how it ended up in our house. It couldn’t be my mom’s since I would have it happened, or at least she would have mentioned my sister or me there. Still freaks me out thinking about it. The only thing that I know about the owner is that she used to work in the subdivision and that the guy also worked there before joining the MPs.

Someone at high school work experience told me this whole thing (mistaking me for a teacher, junior campus library) she wasn't meant to. Turned out the campus head had been given demoted for not realising that a boy was being aggressively bullied which led to being whacked against a wall hard and copping a split head, he had 23 stitches and a plate. I said nothing for weeks until his older brother said something in my class.
That second one is so my family right now, thankfully I'm old enough to get a job and help out with the situation. Shout out to all those single parents out there who put themselves through so much for their kids to have a normal life.

When I was younger , I once woke up a bit earlier than I usually did for school. I peeped from my bedroom and saw my mother and father come out cautiously from their bedroom both in towels. I was maybe 7 or 8. I found it strange. A few months later, I had a new brother. Didn’t take long for me to figure out what happened...
*When I was about 12 or 13 years old, my older brother (he was about 20-21 at the time) would always let me use his laptop to play games and watch TH-cam videos (you know, as you do as a tween, no big deal.)
Then one day I asked him to use it and he told me no, he said that it was broken.... I didn’t buy it though.
So the next day, when he went to work, I sat at the kitchen table, with the laptop, and began using the laptop like normal.
There was nothing wrong with it.. In my mind I was like “Ha! I knew he was lying!” I couldn’t figure out why he was lying about it though.
After a few hours of playing games and watching copious amounts of Disney videos (lol), I decided that I had had enough and I went to shutdown the laptop.
I exited the webpages and before I went to click “Shutdown”, I noticed a new folder on the home screen of the laptop and of course, my nosey 12-13 year old self wanted to know what it was.
Sooooo, me thinking it was probably just “big kid school stuff”, I clicked the folder.......
To my utter and complete shock, I see HUNDREDS of photos of penises and naked women’s bodies...... I SCREAMED, shut the laptop down, and quickly put it back on the table where my brother had left it....
That was how I learned what a penis looked like..... and also how I learned that my brother was bisexual..... ‘Til this day, I’ve never told him what I saw... 😬

I have my own story to tell:
When I was 13, I went to Marseille, France, and stayed in the Hotel Inn directly opposite the Big train station that is also the southern end of the Eurostar line (I went end to end of the Eurostar line twice that holiday, it took a damn long time). As I was waiting for the rest of my family to come outside, I saw 2 or 3 (I can't remember which) most likely 18+ guys sitting on the steps directly in front of the main entrance to the hotel. One of them had his sleave rolled up and cut or jabbed his inner forearm with something. Another guy said something in French, speaking to him. I quickly headed back inside.
I'm mostprobably retarded and didn't understand, but I suppose they were injecting drugs

I was at my friend’s house with 5 other people (including her) to come up with a dance routine and her mum decided to start ironing clothes in just her bra and knickers in the room right next to us with the door open. It was rlly hard to ignore since we were dancing around the entire room and could see through the doorway in almost every place😂
