From an ESPN SportsCenter August 1997. Then MLB Commissioner Bud Selig had proposed "radical realignment" of baseball's six divisions into four after the expansion of the AZ Diamondbacks and Tampa Bay (Devil) Rays led to a supposed imbalance in the divisions.
