Hopefully you haven't heard this one before, but on getting into Lucas Simms house, if you do the quest to disable the bomb in Megaton he just unlocks it for some reason, at least on PC he seems to. I'm not sure if that will help or if it happens on any other console. Either way, nice video!
Probably wouldn't be doing a video on that because it would be an obvious mixture of big guns/melee. Burnmaster into shishkebab and then do the quests of your choice until you hit level 12. Grab pyromaniac and that's it.
I don't know why but my Stealth sniper build who has minimal specialty into unarmed STOMPS enemies with a power fist on Very Hard.... This looks like he's super weak.
Honestly, I didn’t even think about that, I just assumed it worked the same as in Skyrim i.e. was next to useless since 99% of the enemies have no DR. In any case, I wanted to optimize the damage for the behemoth fight and the wiki says those don’t have any armor. Go with the man opener if you find the fetching annoying, you’re going to get jack anyway.
@@poormansproductions2402 i think its at its best against enclave, though its correct that mirelurks, deathclaws, mutants, and ghouls have no DR, enclave has close to 55 percent dr
@@peaceless853 I have melee/unarmed builds for both games, should give you a feel for what you can expect. Personally, I find F3 builds more fun cause they’re “short and sweet” and I like the setting more. I get bored halfway through a NV playthrough because I don’t really care about any of the factions you’re more or less forced to interact with. That being said, I do think NV is a better game overall, even though I prefer F3.
Shhh, don't tell 'em. I was on the fence for that. I guess it comes down to whether you think moving in a specific way within the bounds of the game is an exploit. You could make the case that clipping is the same thing, you are just moving in a specific way after all. On the other hand you're pretty obviously going out of bounds there. Still, a similar argument can be used to call it an exploit, the devs probably didn't intend for you to be able to circle strafe half the enemies to oblivion. The only distinction there would be they put up invisible walls and obstacles for the first one to specifically keep you out so their intentions are more obvious. Or you can call this mental gymnastics I partake in to rationalize clickbait.
Maybe, but I can see using this sort of thing sparingly. I play on the default difficulty with a few house rules or restraints to try to prevent feeling overpowered too early. So I can see using a lot of these tricks in a melee playthrough at various times, but not needing to use them all the time. In other words, playing at a lower difficulty minimizes the *need* to circle-strafe in most battles, but knowing it's effective gives you one more option for those tough encounters.
Dude, I've been playing Fallout 3 off and on since 2009 and had no idea that you could use VATS to climb obstacles. 1,000,000 IQ play.

Shit me neither lol
That has to be the best player I ever see
"No exploits!"
"Y'all know about the flamer thing? Cuz you should!"
Oh my god, Fallout 3 content! In a world, filled with the cult of new vegas. THANK YOU
My pleasure, m8.
@@poormansproductions2402 I mean if he paused to read the essay he would have seen you're not extolling virtue exclusively
NV is still better in every way
yes
3 has random encounters, legion assassins is all you get in NV

Had no idea. You've got skill points to spare in any case, but getting 30 explosives is certainly a smaller investment than getting 50 lockpick.
He unlocks it every day between 12-1 pm I believe, only after deactivating the bomb
you can also just steal the key
You can also place a barrel under his roof, and jump up to the roof hatch without investing any points.
I always plug the 25. I didn't even know it was a condition that you plug it lol. Just assumed he unlocked the house at a certain time of day.
I am thinking of reinstalling and replaying FO3. Good to see someone is still doing FO3 content.
great content keep it up! Would love to see a pyro build

Damn good channel, looking forward to future content. Btw totally love the obligatory Riki-Oh soundbite at 5:45.
Love the George thumbnails
I remember a place called luck somewhere in the wastelands. There I found a chainsaw that can literally kill a deathclaw in 3 seconds
Haven’t even watched the video but I have subbed solely because of the George Constanza thumbnail.
haha yeah,finally a build on fallout 3
if this video showed map locations it would be 200% more useful
Lol.the doctor that just runs when giving you the serum was so weird 😂 i thought that it only happened t me. Bethesda being Bethesda
literally the opposite of my go to sneak/sniper build LMAO
Wtf. I never thought you can carry things to block out the npc firing sight
...you took daddy's boy? Instead of taking an extra Special point or lady killer?
That wasn't very minmax of you
B-but I wanna be a special little boy...

Not sure, I don’t remember unarmed being OP in F3 cause of the damage, but because you can knock everything out in a few punches.

@@Chrisfragger1 You mean regular super mutants? Those are weaker than a mirelurk so that sounds about right.
Why didnt you get the man opener? Even with the lower base damage, i think it out damages the mauler against anything with DR.
And you dont need to collect 80 n64 style collectibles

@Poor Man's Productions yeah I got tempted by your builds to try either game. Really fun content btw.
How do u heal so much in the behemoth fight?
Just hotkeyed stims
I have never played in FO3 and i have no idea what are u doing and where u are xD :(
Most of the locations are mentioned in the video. I agree though, it's not exactly beginner friendly. Feel free to ask if you need tips.
