I've used the blue manic panic to cancel out red/orange in my hair (usually found on the root of the hair.) Ultra violet to cancel out the yellow found at the ends to make a cool toned blonde. Hope this helps!
for you're hair id suggest adding a touch of blue next time. Purple counteracts yellow tones. your hair is slightly darker and has some orange/darker brassy tones. blue counteracts orange. so next time use the purple and just add some blue in, should make a world of difference!

You should first used a blue and mixed it with a tiny bit of ultra violet and second I would prefer using shampoo with the color rather then conditioner

i think with your reddish/orange tones, you probably need a blue toner, or a least a cold violet, the manic panic one you used is a warm violet :)

I made a darker purple shampoo and left it in my brassy hair for 10 minutes and it came out the color I have been wanting !
