Some things never change. Back in the early 90's I was living in Europe and used to read those English classic car magazines. Inevitably there would be an article about a classic discovered in a collapsed garden shed.
A very determined collector there to store them like that. It would have taken them a long time to suspend them and build the steelwork to support it all. Looking at the shed/garage I would say it was about two years away from falling down and then the car prizes gone. A very lucky, timely find.
Definitely one of the greatest "barn finds" ever, so glad you were able to share this experience. Look forward to ANY future updates of these cars as well as any historical information / story on the man who stashed these, truly a jewel. Thanks.
Unfortunately, all petrol cars will soon be banned in the EU and the USA! In France there is a new law prohibiting combustion engine cars called SCHLABOUBVE and in Switzerland the HESCHLAVVO law! In the Scandinavian countries there will soon be a so-called SMORVERBIDEN law) Habeck has probably announced a federal exhaust gas ban ordinance for Germany from 2027!
Epic find, I truly hope they all get restored and sent to good homes. I'm from Canada with huge ties to the UK. So love to see what barn finds happen over the pond in the old country. Cheers!!!
Love to know how he got the cars up in the roof to start with and I wish you had shown how you cut them down . Fantastic content and I hope we get to see the auction .
Hello these videos are great. The white Ace-Bristol has the competition spec dual fuel rail/pump in the trunk. E-Types with steel wheels are quite rare
*What an amazing stash of cars, and how did the owner get them up into the loft space? The E-Types remind me I must go and re-visit an overgrown workshop that has a few E-shaped things dotted in and around it*
Truly amazing that so many rare car's, especially the ac ace were entombed in such an awkward limited space, one has to wonder how they were wedged in there in the first place? Are you intending to do a part three of the auction sale of the cars as this would be interesting to many?
They are very rare now, but not that rare, let say 35 years ago. Especially when they were damaged after car crash were 20 years old...the same like now some 12 - 15 yo Bentleys, RR, Jag, MB SL, etc...
No need to wonder how he get those two jags on the floor there. At 2:05, have a look to the right far corner - just beside the window...there was once a opening in the garage wall. After the cars were moved in, he just closed the wall with corrugated sheets....no mystery here.
I really want to commend you folks on putting out a "barn find" video that I actually believe and is not fake :), very interesting, good luck with the auction !!
Thank you! Am immense amount of effort went in to this extraction - no fakery. Was an exciting experience for all of us! Do hope you will join us for the auction.
As others no doubt have asked, "How the hell did the owner get them up there?" No telehandlers in those days so HOW?? ------ Very interesting couple of videos. 👍
Epic! I know two different people that have Ace Acecas here in New England. Both old guys who have had'em forever. But @12:38 I'd rather have the Jaguar 420-Compact. @12:10 What's the grey car? Of French or German descent?
Amazing extraction job. You guys really had a quality team working on that aspectof the job. But the cars - my god there was some rarity in the cars. It was worth taking the utmost care, and they did. If I were you guys I would want that same team every time.
That garage was like The Tardis. The primrose E was beautiful. There's an old guy in town with a small garage, which contains an MGTD, an MG1300.. meh, an MGA, an MGB GT, and...a red '61 E Type roadster with factory hardtop, all in fine condition, and all red.
Those were parts of a BJ 40 or 42 series landcruiser hardtop on those rotten e type shells, not really valuable, as they are also rotten, but I do hope someone is going to go through the loose junk as I am sure there are some useful car parts amongst them.
Amazing cars. Just a note re your audio. You are only on the left channel through a great portion of the video which makes it very hard for someone like myself with no hearing in my left ear.
Found it! I was listening on one stereo speaker (L) rather than two. The showroom footage clearly was on the other (R) channel from the location sound, or maybe that was mono.
Incredible series....just amazing selections. What's more significant than a few E-Type roadsters!?!?! A few AC Bristols!!! Holy crap! Just please speak into the microphone! Instead of above mic. The sound is inconsistent!!
Sort of wondering if they were all that rotten before they were put in there OR did the fellow go to all that trouble shoehorning them into a shed he must have built around them only to allow the roof to leak all over them for decades. The E types were in rougher shape than the AC's it appears, yet the AC's are of an earlier vintage so . . . .?????
Those of us that have owned those old Jags know only to well how much of unreliable rubbish they were, back in the day hence this guy collected them cheap as they were dumped cheap as we got tired of the money and expense throwing good money after bad thank goodness he was a hoarding type who collected while the rest of us sold them off to get a bit of money of out of these money pits...and now these mouthpieces ramble on and on on how good they were, what commodification garbage, throw 100k + into those Jags, and then expensive maint every month...but these are used car salesman...they will try and sell you a piece of garbage, and tell you its the best...

We will just have to keep them in our garages and go and sit in them occasionally. By then it will be too dangerous to go outdoors as the populations of Africa and the Middle East will have overrun Europe, bringing their religion of peace with them.
The forklift driver was outstanding great job
Incredible! and great to see Colin Denton featuring in this!
Thank You..FANTASTIC
Insane stuff that’s still out there after all these years.
I thought Johnny Smith did the best barn find videos but this was on a whole other level. Absolutely amazing 🤩

Great series, really interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes, looking forward to the auction!

Thanks Dave. Was absolutely thrilling!

The Betty Haig connection is superb! Staggering that there were three ACs entombed.
Epic find, I truly hope they all get restored and sent to good homes. I'm from Canada with huge ties to the UK. So love to see what barn finds happen over the pond in the old country. Cheers!!!
cant wait to see how the auction goes. great job
Us too! Going to be great!
the story behind this strange storage must be very interesting, quite why they piled up like this is intriguing .
I will take a guess the owner was single, never finished any job he started and couldn't resist a bargain.
Love to know how he got the cars up in the roof to start with and I wish you had shown how you cut them down . Fantastic content and I hope we get to see the auction .
Oh my!! That shed sits at the end of the rainbow! Definitely the dream of any enthusiast! Thanks so much for sharing!

Cool cars
8 cars in what is really only a 3 car space
It would have been so interesting to see how the old guy got them in there in the first place
*What an amazing stash of cars, and how did the owner get them up into the loft space? The E-Types remind me I must go and re-visit an overgrown workshop that has a few E-shaped things dotted in and around it*
Please do a video showing the sale of each car extracted. AND if possible follow up videos showing the restored cars and let me know.
Enjoyed that thoroughly 👌
Glad to hear it! The auction is going to be exciting! Which do you think will make the most?

That yard is full of parts, is someone going through it all?
I had the same thought and question…
You guys did a fantastic job of removing those cars,it was a pleasure to watch. New sub for sure👍👍👌
Good to see the part 2 with the T reg E-type. I seem to remember he had another Land Rover, maybe it didn't survive...
the guy driving the lift is real good
Amazing looking forward to the day thanks

Loved the 2 parts.
Guy must have put the shed up after the cars were arranged inside. Might have been easier to remove the roof and crane them out!
Thanks for sharing this adventure
Still trying to figure out how they got them in there
JT: Orlando FLA
What happened to the other E-Type shells that are not up for auction, and the engine frames hanging on the wall behind etc?
Thank goodness you were there with your gloves working so hard
Why not have placed wheeled dollies under the cars instead of pretty much needing to drag them out?
As others no doubt have asked, "How the hell did the owner get them up there?"
No telehandlers in those days so HOW?? ------ Very interesting couple of videos. 👍
What about the other e types.. did they have chassis numbers or registration plates?
Epic! I know two different people that have Ace Acecas here in New England. Both old guys who have had'em forever.
But @12:38 I'd rather have the Jaguar 420-Compact.
@12:10 What's the grey car? Of French or German descent?
Nice job boys I hope they all end up back on the road
Amazing extraction job. You guys really had a quality team working on that aspectof the job. But the cars - my god there was some rarity in the cars. It was worth taking the utmost care, and they did. If I were you guys I would want that same team every time.
Thank you for your comments. They certainly are a fantastic team!
Lots of E Type engine frames hanging on the wall. Hope they are saved too. Those last 2 tubs looked like Series 1 roadsters.
That garage was like The Tardis. The primrose E was beautiful. There's an old guy in town with a small garage, which contains an MGTD, an MG1300.. meh, an MGA, an MGB GT, and...a red '61 E Type roadster with factory hardtop, all in fine condition, and all red.
I want to know what engine is in the dark blue one?
I would say that the garage was built around the cars 🤷♂
surely they got that right hand E-Type in through the doorway that's right in front of it? It's covered in tin, but it is a large doorway, isn't it?
Must be nearly £5k worth of cars there.
The ACs, after restoration, will be potentially $200,000 + cars. (The restorations might cost that much 😅)
Those were parts of a BJ 40 or 42 series landcruiser hardtop on those rotten e type shells, not really valuable, as they are also rotten, but I do hope someone is going to go through the loose junk as I am sure there are some useful car parts amongst them.
I wonder if Dennis Collins has seen this ,right up his streets
It looks like that was a nice neighborhood. Didn't those people realize that there was a junkyard right next door?
👍👍
I think you will pull in 500k on the auction but it will cost 200k of that to clean up that backyard ...lol
Amazing cars. Just a note re your audio. You are only on the left channel through a great portion of the video which makes it very hard for someone like myself with no hearing in my left ear.
I bet you're the life and soul of a party 🎉
What's with the lack of audio...?
I knew a guy that had 7 minis in his 2 stall garage.
Wot? No Bentleys? Gpx😢
On site filming is fine but every piece to camera in the showroom has no sound. Part 1 was the same but probably worse affected. Is it just me?
Found it! I was listening on one stereo speaker (L) rather than two. The showroom footage clearly was on the other (R) channel from the location sound, or maybe that was mono.
George Dawes?
What happened to the sound, I am only getting left channel?
Same.
I get sick stomach when I see an e type Jag. Had to cut the video short.
Incredible series....just amazing selections. What's more significant than a few E-Type roadsters!?!?! A few AC Bristols!!! Holy crap! Just please speak into the microphone! Instead of above mic. The sound is inconsistent!!
No sound in the bits where you are walking around the cars
Where is part one?
Sort of wondering if they were all that rotten before they were put in there OR did the fellow go to all that trouble shoehorning them into a shed he must have built around them only to allow the roof to leak all over them for decades. Great film, shame about the audio on this one.

You had a bad experience with a car and a salesman.
The cost of recovery was more than the total value of the content!
cars ist kaput
..........would be interesting to see, how has this been appeared before removing the Cars.........I guess a real mess................
Ok. I will give you £8 plus a packet of crisps that are past their use by date for the lot but that will definitely be my last offer...
Be careful with asbestos 😢
Good work, although please wear a hard hat next time you get stuck in like that.

It’s time to get rid of these tyrants around the world.
👍👍👍
What a find great job done
Thanks Colin. Was great fun but hard work!
