I retired from the Army about 15 years ago, and could not cook a lick, when my wife passed away I had to learn to cook for the sake of my daughter and myself. I found several sites with some great recipes, tips & tricks. Your site is one that my daughter and I use for inspiration all the time. We would love to win your cookbook. We will keep on watching regardless. Hoorah!! Keep on dancing Kent.
I hope you win Bruce but if you don't, it's worth every penny to buy. I really enjoy reading it, there's lots of good stories and pictures, not just recipes. My wife passed away late last year, I'm trying really hard to keep going so I know what you're going through. Just gotta hang in there. Thanks for your service and take care.

Australians and Americans have been "Family" for years, always willing to help each other out. When we had our bad bush fires you Guy's came to our aid, as we helped you with the fires in California recently. Just watching Cowboy Kent's videos brings me closer to the USA, his respect of God and the Veterans holds him in good esteem. If I won the prize package.... OOooooweeeee (as Kent would say) it would be like having Kent and Shannon right in my kitchen.
Hell yes, Americans and Australians will always have an eternal bond. I’ve become good friends with every Australian I’ve ever met. Wonderful, honest people all the way through

Hey Guy’s, we are both lucky to be living in two of the best Countries on Earth. Sure if you look deep enough you will always find something unpleasant, but let’s focus on the positives. Your National pride is second to none, Old Glory is the most revered amongst all National flags, your respect for the Veterans is across all Communities and I have enjoyed a good old Texas welcome every time I have been there. Like Cowboy Kent says........ God bless America.
There wasn't a minute of this video I didn't enjoy. The food, scenery, music, doggies, good humor, I had a smile or a laugh on my face all the way through. Thanks so much, we need you now more than ever. You are an essential service to our souls and well-being. Y'all take care, God bless, much love coming your way.

While on a deployment I had some of my brothers(fellow Marines) introduce me to your youtube channel about a week ago. Ive done watched about half your videos. The only reason I want this give away is while watching your videos Kent and Shan, I cant help but feel like I'm back home. Enjoying my time with my wife and dogs and cooking away having a merry time. Thank you for your videos, I truly means this. I cannot describe how nice it is to have this nostalgia of home and your authenticity of goofing around vs trying to be "professional" helps a lot. Thank y'all so much. I will be buying your cook books regardless if I win this give away. I committed to that already so don't worry, I'll make sure to bring it home and share it however I need to get it gets done, thank you, all the way from here in Japan.

@@peggygibbons479 thanks. I'm not saying I haven't seen Frozen 2 a couple dozen times as well. But we do try to get them to read a lot and outside as much as we can. Find out what movie they watch, and get your niece some of the books from that movie. It makes for an easy way to get the reading going.
@@willfawcett7953 That's a great idea. I used to read stacks of books to my daughter every night. Even after she could read, she still wanted me to read out loud to her and it made ALL the difference!! She's 22 and an English teacher now :)
My family found you yesterday Cowboy Kent, and we love your videos!! My four year old son laughs his head off when you dance around. Cooked these beautiful Quesadillas today and they were AMAZING!!! Thanks for being so entertaining to watch as well as sharing your wonderful recipes.
You inspire me to do things I've never tried. Love the southern hospitality and good clean humor. These are tough times and we all need regular doses of faith, food and fellowship. Keep up the great work!
Kent and Mrs. Shannon, I can't tell you how happy I was to stumble upon one of your videos on You-tube. You make cooking fun and bring great variety to cast-iron and grill cooking. I like to eat, but am kind of picky about ensuring that what I eat is GOOD, and suited to my tastes. My tastes are VERY eclectic, having traveled the world on Uncle Sam, (and not just to the nice places). So I figured learning to cook was the best way to ensure I eat what I like. And the family loves it! As a guy, the grill, smoker, and cast iron make cooking interesting and gets me out in nature. It is great therapy after 20 years in the military and recently losing a job. But cooking this way is more of an art than a learned skill, and I know of no-one better than Kent at inspiring this art. I've fallen in love with your Red River Seasoning, and am confident your other products are amazing as well. I would love to be a winner of your cookbook and other items. God Bless you both for bringing joy and good food to so many.
Kent, I found you a few months ago, and in that time, I've become the defacto cookie in our camp (home) and have taken the burden of preparing most meals off of my mother. During these last few months, I've made many of your recipes from your cookbook and website, and winning this pack would only increase my ability to cook the foods my family, friends, and I have come to love. God bless you Kent and Shan. You're good people.
I genuinely laughed and cheered as I saw mr. Kent Rollins use that half onion to clean up the grill..... I am mexican and I approve this message! that's right! none of that nonsense of cleaning your grill with soap, brushes, water, hell no.... AN ONION! hahaha
Dad’s on Hospice and has been enjoying your recipes. I have been on emergency leave from the Army, taking care of him. Missed you in Texas about a month ago.
I'm using my first ever TH-cam comment to enter your contest! I'd love to win because my family has been using this social distancing break to learn how to cook over fire and hot coals. We invested in our first Dutch oven and my husband and sons have been restoring some old rusted cast iron we've come across in various places. This channel has been a godsend for us, and the book would be the icing on the cake! Thank you, Mr. Rollins, for all that you do! You're a tremendous blessing to the YT community. P.S.- Your upside down pizza recipe is the bee's knees! Have you ever made cornbread pizza? It's a huge favorite in our house.
Glad we have this channel to keep the cooking ideas/lessons/entertainment coming during all this turmoil. My wife and I are both nurses and enjoy coming home and watching Kent be himself after going to work with such intimidating circumstances currently. God bless and stay safe!
The time-honored tradition of gathering for a meal seemed to have lost its sheen in recent years, with more and more families and children on the go in our digital world. However, one of the positive byproducts of our current "situation" is a resurrection of the family supper. And, while I've been watching you for some time now, I've really found a whole new level of appreciation for you and your bride in these tumultuous times. You're bringing a bit of what makes us all great, to the forefront once again. As a First Responder, I tip my cap to you Kent, and look forward to many more years of your tips, dancing, and tail-waggin' cooking. Good luck, and God Bless. 🤠🥩🍳🇺🇸
My 9-year-old son and I would absolutely love to win this giveaway! Him and I started taking cooking seriously a couple years ago as something we could do together. I was a very late starter in the culinary world, and it's a skill I'm so glad my son has been interested in at a young age. He even wants to own his own restaurant one day! We came across Cowboy Kent several months ago, and is now our go-to channel for recipes! The combination of true skills, good lessons, and good old fashioned entertainment in a very easy-to-understand way makes it something that's hard to beat, for sure. I also love the shout-outs to our Veterans and First Responders at the end of videos. Much respect!!! So, having a book full of great recipes, those ingredients, and those tools would be fantastic for us :) Keep up the great content, and such a fun idea to have a giveaway! Good luck, all!
I was given a first edition copy of "FRYINGPANS WEST" by Sam Arnold, from his PBS cooking show 50 years ago. I would be Pleased As Punch to add a Kent and Shannon Rollins cookbook to my collection of well loved western cookbooks. (And yes, I have had rattle snake, thanks for asking, but I did NOT catch it myself) There might be others who are more deserving of this gift but No One would love it more !
I LOVE the fact that your babies aren't thirsty or super hungry, begging for food! Your recipes are the best. ThanK you for being you!!!! IF Those precious pups were truly hungry, there would be no stopping them. Thank you for being you! Your food is amazing!
We LOVE watching your show! My husband’s a firefighter so he’s hasn’t been able to watch as much with everything going on, but I appreciate you bringing some good food and humor to our household! We love cowboy cooking! ❤️🚒🙏🏻
When I started watching your channel I fell in love with your energy, love of life, and general characterization and appreciation for yourself and others. I showed my mom your channel as well and she and I agreed that you remind us of her husband, my stepdad, only funnier! 😂 Keep up the great and inspirational work!
I'm watching this in Ireland, and laughing along with it. This is the type of video that we need while locked down. It's fun and informative, all in one. Take care.
Just bought the first cookbook just for the home remedies! 3 cloves of garlic kills any bacterial infection like magic! And his jalapeno garlic honey mix! Delicious and healthy. Thanks Kent and Shan! And hello to Duke and the Beag
Beag is getting smarter by sneaking him a bite and not waiting his turn. I love how country and down to Earth you are Mr. Kent. I love watching your videos. Hope you and your wife are staying safe. May God bless you both.
My kids and I love watching you and love being in the kitchen. You have inspired them so much and instill a love and appreciate for our country and simple living! Thank you for all you do.
The videos this guy makes definitely deserve more viewers and likes and admiration. He cooks simple dishes and does them very well. He is also engaging and entertaining! I love his little dances he does every time he makes something! Also, including the doggies in his videos is so darn cute and them dogs are certainly well-behaved. I also love that he always tips hat to all the people serving in the middle east and all over and also to our veterans. And the respect he shows to Old Glory is truly inspiring! He is a true American and a great cook!I would love to a copy of that cookbook so I have all of his recipes right in one place. It would make me do the happy dance!
That cookbook alone is worth entry. I've cooked all my life but became permanently disabled at 49 years of age recently and It became dangerous for me to cook for a while until I could stand properly. Being physically disabled is one thing, but Dementia is a whole 'nuther animal. I have to write down everything for a checklist or open my cook books. If I didn't I'd be makin' omelettes with no eggs ! 🤣 Kent's cooking really lit a fire under me and I'll be grateful forever for that. My oldest son is getting stationed to a reserve base in Waco where we will live together. A smoker is first up...OK, TP is first up 😂 but the smoker is a done deal. I hope to recreate every one of your wonderful recipes for a bunch'a hungry Marines. God Bless, I'm so appreciative. 👍🇺🇸✝️
"98.6 is normal" You're my hero Mr. Kent, my parents and I just landed on a 160 acre ranch sort've homesteading if you would... Definitely a lot of cast iron cooking going on, and you're my go to! Every Friday/Saturday round here is a special meal day. We've got a custom built grill and this is hitting the list RIGHT NOW!
I love this whole crew, Kent, Shan, and the Dogs. The recipes he shows are the best, great food. I'm a Marine, and I appreciate his thoughts, keep ol glory flying.
Being out of work during this time, you have my wife and I binge watching your videos!! My father is an executive chef and you have got ideas that make him say "Dam! That looks good!!" All 4 of you are doing the people a great service! And Hats off to you for saluting all of our service men and women!!!! We salute you!!! Keep up the great work!!! CHEERS!!!!!
As always, more fine dinin' starting with simple recipes and basic ingredients. The quesadillas look amazing. Thanks - I gave your wonderful cookbooks to 5 different family members as Christmas presents, and they all rave about it.
10 seconds in he describes the dish and it''s already delicious and he ain't even started cooking yet that's rare talent', you bring brightness to the world Sir.
I work with Scouts and I used to think my outdoor cooking skills were pretty good, but I've learned so much from you that makes me better able to help teach the next generation about how to not only cook in the outdoors, but have some truly great dishes in the process. I'd love to win the cookbook to have a permanent reference in our troop library.
I have loved watching you shannon and the pup for along time , I love it so much I started a cooking channel my self, having fun at home during the quarantine ... love you guys !
We found you after my father-in-law bought us our first piece of cast iron. We didn't know what we doing but your videos have helped us cultivate a love of cooking the old fashioned way. Tara's, my wife, Grandma cooked all the time with cast iron and cooked the same way you do, with love. We are now cooking together and it has been like her Grandmother is back here with us. I believe the cookbook would help me and my wife grow closer together even more. Honestly, the reason Tara and I would like to win is because it would take us a long time to save to be able to purchase everything listed. Thank you for sharing your love of what made this Country great. Faith, Family, and Food.
I have been following your channel for a while now and I have tried some recipes. I have fed others and your recipes always impress people. I have especially won over many people with the Cowboy Chili, mmmmm, one of my favorites. So thank you so much for the art of cooking from the ranching way of life. I grew up, managed and owned a farm and raised some cattle so it is nice to listen to your way of life and the recipes that are just good home cooking. As a pastor now, cooking allows me some time to just get away from the pressures of ministry. May the Lord continue to bless you all.
I’m mesmerized by the videos so I need the cookbook to actually follow the directions to make Kent’s recipes. I could watch Kent read the phone book, he’s that entertaining.
I can almost smell and taste the goodness over the internet. I do pretty close to the same thing though instead of using jalapenos I put in some roasted green chili from Hatch, New Mexico.
Love this! I just recently lost my faithful beagle named Ruckus. I miss him and enjoy seeing your Beags. Appreciate how you honor our service men and women on each show. Thanks!!
So far we've cooked almost all your recipes and our friends/family think there's been a miracle at our house! The new cookbook will be a joy for sure. The only other comment is this: if there were a way to buy your chipotle relish by the five gallon bucket it would make us happy folks out here in Idaho! Keep up the great work. Look forward to meeting you in person when we are all paroled from "Corona Jail".
I just happen to run across your videos, I get so hungry just watching what you make, but most all I just love your personality, and your sense of humor. God Bless You, Chan and your pups.
I would like your book because being Mexican american I love how you spread the love with your food using some American and Mexican recipient and making them your own. I love cooking for my wife and boy. And seeing your videos and recipes has made me a better cook and father. And for that I am grateful
My boyfriend and I have been watching your videos for quite some time now. Ever since he got a cast iron skillet. One of our go to channels to put us in a good mood or learn something new!
I have your first cookbook and I would love to get your second one. If it wasn''t for your cook book and videos there are dozens of foods I never would have tried making, let alone learned how to use my bbq properly. Your sourdough biscuit recipe is one of my favourits and one of the few things I can make with sourdough with consistent results. Cheers from Canada!
I thank you for tipping your hat to us first responders it is much appreciated. As the station cook and president I would love to bring some of your great food to these folks here. I have made some of your recipes and loved them all. Keep up the good work my friend and I will be making some of these quesadillas. Congrats on over 1 Million subs.
The recipes in your books so far have been amazing. I can’t imagine the new book being any less great. I’m going to buy it regardless but the extras just sweeten their deal!
Shan, I'm lovin' the new graphics and sound effects ! Not that Ken needs any help..... but let's not talk about a Cowboy's sound effects knowwata mean?
This cookbook would open up my world. I already have the first one but this would just make my kitchen as hot as a jalapeño on a hot grill it would. Also gotta love the sneaky beagle haha!
I just stuffed my face with a nasty old fast food burger (I think it was a burger), and now I’m watching you assemble these quesadillas. 803pm in North Texas and I’ve got a dad gum hankering for some yard bird quesadillas Thanks a lot Kent ! Lol
I would love to when your cookbook . I am a single father of a beautiful daughter who loves quesadillas by the way :-) I literally run out of things to cook. I cook everything fresh on Saturdays cuz I drive 630 miles a day for FedEx Freight, can't cook during the week. So have been trying to make some different new recipes that you have that are simpler to make for someone so busy. I just love your show. I’m Mexican-American and growing up my parents always cleaned the grill using an onion. As my siblings and I got older, that responsibility was ours!
That it's very common in north states of mexico when they make carne asada
Kent, I found you a few months ago, and in that time, I've become the defacto cookie in our camp (home) and have taken the burden of preparing most meals off of my mother. During these last few months, I've made many of your recipes from your cookbook and website, and winning this pack would only increase my ability to cook the foods my family, friends, and I have come to love. God bless you Kent and Shan. You're good people.
Anybody that is missin' the outtakes at the end of these is making a HUGE mistake !
Thanks guys !
@Stimpy&Ren 💛🙂
Huge misteak
@@stephenhiker9807 👍 I have trouble with my 'voice to texas' too
I gotta agree there.
I genuinely laughed and cheered as I saw mr. Kent Rollins use that half onion to clean up the grill..... I am mexican and I approve this message! that's right! none of that nonsense of cleaning your grill with soap, brushes, water, hell no.... AN ONION! hahaha
Serio. Lmao
In spain we use half a lemon, but onion is a valid option too
hell yes I just learned something new and very useful going to use that trick from.now on
Pine cone works well too. Thats what my daddy used
@@soniajones5453 My Dad didn't cook. That was a woman's work.
Dad’s on Hospice and has been enjoying your recipes. I have been on emergency leave from the Army, taking care of him. Missed you in Texas about a month ago.
This channel feels like home, and Im from the netherlands lol. Seriously tho, I wish someday I could come to your land, would be the best thing ever.
Stareye_ hallo mein niederländisch Brüder ;)
@@andrewkistler3776 Hallo :D
Stareye_ lets trade houses for a vacation!
Maybe because the history of the US is a great deal Dutch.
Hey when all this virus stuff is under control take a tour of the old west there's alot of folks like this man spread across the country.
Thanks for watching Shawn and for what you do, Family, friends and food, the perfect recipe for happinesss
Awesome that was how old I was when I started learning to cook.
"He and I" I think that's great. The ladies will love him!
Thanks Barry and them pups of ours have such hard jobs
@@CowboyKentRollins 😅
I'm so hungry! That music and dancing makes this dark time so bright and cheerful. Made me smile!
As an Australian who doesn't speak Spanish I now know how to pronounce Quesadillas. Love your work... all 4 of you.
Thanks for watching
@Jeremy Hess The correct pronunciation would be "keh-sah-dee-jah".
I'm Mexican who speaks Spanish poorly . It's all about good food bon appetit hahaha
@Jeremy Hess English it's the most easiest language to learn
@Jeremy Hess You must be a native English speaker. English is one of the easiest, if not THE easiest to learn.
We LOVE watching your show! My husband’s a firefighter so he’s hasn’t been able to watch as much with everything going on, but I appreciate you bringing some good food and humor to our household! We love cowboy cooking! ❤️🚒🙏🏻
I love his energy. Never fails to make me smile. 😊
When I started watching your channel I fell in love with your energy, love of life, and general characterization and appreciation for yourself and others.
I showed my mom your channel as well and she and I agreed that you remind us of her husband, my stepdad, only funnier! 😂
Keep up the great and inspirational work!
I want this man to be my next door neighbor. He seems like a genuine great guy.
Does excellent BBQs too.
Thank you so much Robin. Take care my friend.
@@CowboyKentRollins YW! Tis true!
We've made these (chicken) a number of times and they are AMAZING! Wouldn't change a thing. It's one our favourite recipes. Love your channel!
These are not only helpful, they are calming during this stressful time, thank you. I like the onion tip; I can’t believe I haven’t heard that before.
CHEERS!!!!!
Darren we thank you all so much for watching and be safe and God bless you all
Retired chef from Norway, find this very inspiring! True cowboy cooking! Keep it up!
I love high simple his cooking is. His personality is wonderful, too.
As always, more fine dinin' starting with simple recipes and basic ingredients. The quesadillas look amazing. Thanks - I gave your wonderful cookbooks to 5 different family members as Christmas presents, and they all rave about it.
I love the way he treats his viewers and his dogs...
All family here
Can you imagine a Brazilian guy cooking and dancing like Kent does? My mom will freaks out when I fill the table with the recipes of his book.
This guy would make hank hill forget all about propane amd propane accessories
They would shake hands and the world would implode.
Underrated comment
I tell you what....
Sacrilege.... Hank would never
"Taste the meat, not the heat"
10 seconds in he describes the dish and it''s already delicious and he ain't even started cooking yet that's rare talent', you bring brightness to the world Sir.
Thank you for watching
I work with Scouts and I used to think my outdoor cooking skills were pretty good, but I've learned so much from you that makes me better able to help teach the next generation about how to not only cook in the outdoors, but have some truly great dishes in the process. I'd love to win the cookbook to have a permanent reference in our troop library.
You get two 👍🏻👍🏻 up for that original quote “shinier than a Silverdollar in a goats butt ! I dam near fell on the floor laughing
I love how he takes huge bites! That's real, no TV nonsense here. Keep it up man..
Thanks for watching
love the color you got on that chargrilled chicken cowboy! 🤠
There's too much at *steak* to chicken out on making these grilled quesadillas!
Sending much love to this cowboy, from the middle east!
Definitely trying this recipe!
Yessss green chili’s 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I love your videos! Some of these are foods I've grown up with too. Thank you so much Kent and Shannon for bringing this to the world!
Thanks Paul for watching
You make it look so easy and delicious! That guacamole looks tasty! Thanks for the entertaining grilling lesson!
Perfect for my supper quarantine quesadilla.
I just happen to run across your videos, I get so hungry just watching what you make, but most all I just love your personality, and your sense of humor. God Bless You, Chan and your pups.
Thans Reyna for watching
I would like your book because being Mexican american I love how you spread the love with your food using some American and Mexican recipient and making them your own. I love cooking for my wife and boy. And seeing your videos and recipes has made me a better cook and father. And for that I am grateful
This guy looks and sounds like a red dead Redemption character 😂
If you merge uncle, John, and Pearson
He's Arthur and mr.pearson all at once
For all that you know he probably was lol.
max your camp level and you get a Cowboy Kent camp cook!
You'll find a few of those around Oklahoma and Texas.
the most wholesome american greatness in a video I've ever seen.
Thanks for watching
My boyfriend and I have been watching your videos for quite some time now. Ever since he got a cast iron skillet. One of our go to channels to put us in a good mood or learn something new!
Thank you both for watching
I have your first cookbook and I would love to get your second one. If it wasn''t for your cook book and videos there are dozens of foods I never would have tried making, let alone learned how to use my bbq properly. Your sourdough biscuit recipe is one of my favourits and one of the few things I can make with sourdough with consistent results.
Cheers from Canada!
It’d be awesome to have that cookbook to try out some recipes with my mom! Great video. Y’all are amazing!
Amazing out door cooking simply love to enjoy watching. Love to have one in my kitchen.
Thanks for watching
I'd love to have Kent in my kitchen too! ❤️

Me TOO!!😂😂😂
@Stimpy&Ren LOL... and this, from someone named Stimpy&Ren ??? no offense, we're all friendly I just thought it was funny.
I agree
This cookbook would open up my world. I already have the first one but this would just make my kitchen as hot as a jalapeño on a hot grill it would. Also gotta love the sneaky beagle haha!
Who doesn't love some outdoor cooking. Any help with making it better is always appreciated.
Keep on cooking my friend
"Why would I want this cookbook", you've got to be joking, "Because It's American Heartland Badass"
I just stuffed my face with a nasty old fast food burger (I think it was a burger), and now I’m watching you assemble these quesadillas.
803pm in North Texas and I’ve got a dad gum hankering for some yard bird quesadillas
Thanks a lot Kent !
Always puts a smile on my face when I'm exhausted in the evening. My CB handle is porksausage, and with a handle like that who wouldn't give him a cookbook Lol...
I'm from Illinois , live in Chicago and I really appreciate great grilling . I love this energy. He never stops smiling. Thanks for this video and many other great videos.
I love how easily you make me smile.
Just hearing the crunch of that tortilla made my mouth water
Watching this now Kent, I love Quesadillas, ever since I was a boy
I was a navy cook and loved it so much I went to culinary school after discharge. But nothing cooks as well with more fun than following along with y'all. you even got me started into Cast Iron which is a game all its own. I win just watching your videos. Thank You.
Thanks for watching Mark and for your service
We got an air fryer oven that we're having fun with during our 'lockdown'. Been making me interested in trying some new dishes and them quesadillas look yum-mee. Would love to have a heads up on these great recipes to enjoy durin our time in the (big) house😊😋 on our grill (cause an air fryer just can't compete with wood grilling). ❤️ your furry co-pilots🥰
Is it a yedi?? I love the thing.
I’m having a baby in a few months. We’ve waited 11 long years for this little guy, and I need to learn to cook better so my husband stops showing me up! 😂
OK, you win!!! HaHaHa
Grim Reefer depends on the state
I’m in WV, it’s not bad, yet. He’s not due for a few more months, so we are keeping our fingers crossed that things start to clear up by then. Thank you for your concern! 💙💙
Grim Reefer well I mean I was referring to the fact some states and cities have not been hit as hard. As she said a few months I assume this whole thing will have likely blown over.
Use the husband training roller pin. Maybe it’ll help. Don’t know, depends on the husband.
😂😂!! The "Beag", sneakin snacks....I laughed so hard I snorted!!
He’s like an old military friend sitting around the campfire in the woods showing us how to cook great food. He’s a dog lover and it says it all! Thank you buddy. 🙏🏻🇺🇸
