You're one of the few You Tubers that actually gives the finite details of a particular climbing system. It's all about the details that make saddle hunting safer. Glad to see your store finally getting restocked.
I bought one of these a couple weeks ago when I was trying to decide between a madrock or a grigri. It's cool to see you using it! My own gripe about this is the lever is SO loud when you accidentally hit it. But it's way more smooth than the Beal birdie I had and doesn't release when I'm adjusting my saddle.
Nice. I’ve been hunting with the mobile safety system this year and am thinking about moving to one sticking next year. So this would work with the 9mm optic then too. Awesome
I've been using the Trango Vergo since 2020. It's soo smooth on ci-v. Been wanting to try elite for the packability. I run an amsteel whoopie foot loop spliced directly to my quick roll. Solid system. Fast, easy, and pretty light. Wish they had a slimmer model of the quick roll
Do you have a link to the F4 Half line 1.0 ? I started one sticking last year at 54 years old. Bought the F4 and love it for descending. Just picked up a C/T quick roll for SRT/DRT climbing this year. I’d like to watch ascending with the F4 again. A lot of the techniques to climb I’ve picked up from your videos. Thank you for the great content.
@@NYSaddleHunter Hi Scott & Joe I’ve been practicing more ascending with the F4 in combination with the CT Quick Roll. I was putting too much of my weight into the foot loop and not pulling enough on the rope. Ascending perfectly now that I’ve got that problem solved. Easier than a climbing stand and so much safer. Keep putting out great content guys!
@@LibertyOrDeath7230 the Vergo is much smoother both ascending and descending. Plus a lot easier to build added redundancy towards safety . You still have a system that weighs 3 lbs and fits inside a 10x9x3 zippered saddle bag
I’ve been hunting out of a saddle since the 80’s and I would not want to use this method of climbing working up a cold sweat in 25 degrees with everything frozen, in the dark, and to put off odor and freeze.
Looks harder than it is. Plus there’s no hurry to get to your platform. For guys who incorporate the footloop , it’s effortless climbing . Yes you will sweat in early season if it’s 80 degrees. No different than walking in
If you're working up a sweat definitely doing something wrong. It can be done with a 3:1 mechanical advantage which as someone who has been doing it exclusively since 2018 I know foe a fact it's easier than any other method when you use proper technique.
@Crayz919 Have you ever used a pulley system to hang a deer? Its the same principle or a block & tackle . With this type SRT theres a micro pulley and the belay device works like a pulley in one direction and it creates a 3 :1 mechanical advantage so it's literally less physical effort than climbing a climbing stick. Its actually easier to climb this way than anything else Ive ever done and ive done everything, been hunting 40 years.
@@averagejoe2635 can you refer me to a video of this method/ system and give me a list of exactly what's needed to utilize this 3:1 system u speak of ... Check out a TH-cam video by Perry Fraze outdoors it's titled simple drt climbing with only a rope... let me know what you think 🤔 because I am really entertaining this method !

Wondering what the loop knot is on the end of the half line system. Looks like a bowline but not exactly sure.

Waiting for website to update so I can order. Loving the Half Line System too!
Nice! Wish I saw this before I bought the madrock 😤
Used the safety system in the tree for the first time today. Very nice system
👍
Will the Grigri do the same thing, but louder?
Got mine today!!!
When is this going live for sale?
What makes this better than the F4?

Do you use a platform with this method?
Yes I do , I’m waiting on Trophy Line to release their new one. . I’m also looking at Treetop Outdoors
He’s making some sweet one stick platforms.
