What impresses me the most about chase vids isn't the really good combat and being able to do 1vs many, it's the light speed menu swapping

It's so refreshing to see the first invasion because its just pure melee combat. No spamming ashes and spells, no annoying incantations, no cheesy AoW, no blender, no toxic behavior, just raw face-to-face fight and wins the best. I miss things like that in this game's PvP

Well the pvp caos in this game is fun overall.
And indeed, most of the matches the coin won't be at your side, unfairly. But wtf that what makes the pvp loop so good.

Left hand St Trinas torch setups are extremely powerful too...
Dual wield setups are some of the most fun ive had in ER honestly. A couple of my favorites were Katana with offhand Zwei, and UGS with dagger.
You can keep the entire katana moveset including its really good ashes like Unsheathe or Spinning Slash, and the Zwei keeps its hyper armor when 1 handed so you can drop it on people trying to outpoise you. You can even swing it while holding unsheathe for a "secret" third stance follow up lol.
Colossal sword and dagger is pretty fun for status builds since theres daggers with innate bleed, and a crouch poke to dagger true combo sets them up for an R1 rollcatch, which will pop bleed on most people if both are bleed infused. Or because of how Occult ashes work you could become a double status monster with a poison infused dagger and a bleed Zwei with the Poison Mist ash (which can roll catch after a crouch poke too!)
Offhand colossal is entirely underrated. Especially with mainland katana.
My favourite pairing is Meteoric ore blade + Ruins Greatsword.
I’ve never tried it with unsheathe though - I like that idea.
He's so good with his camera moves. It's like he sees the fight on a chess board.

Bro I have huge respect for you by your ability to adapt to different setups and quickly find optimal ways to come up on top on many different scenarios. That's some next level skill and quick thinking.
I think the blue hitting the Watchdog was mistakenly trying to use the crystal darts which make NPC's aggro each other, pretty sure frenzied NPC's don't attack invaders. But, if you use a bewitching branch then they are allied and will attack invaders

Wait, it’s 108 poise to go through the *second* offhand light? What the hell, that explains so much! I kept getting poise broken in full Crucible wondering why this tiny little stick was breaking my attempts at greatsword swings.

i used to run a Hand Axe in my offhand, usually with the Banished Knight’s halberd and sometimes with the Longhaft Axe, and it was so much fun. no one ever sees it coming!
Icerind hatchet has the same r1 moveset and longer reach. I did that with the zamor curved sword to keep the zamor ash but the quick L1!
That first invasion was a really good fight. Chase demonstrated some excellent movement and spacing. It's my birthday today so I'm not gonna count gravity kills

I just started the video... but I hope you tried the off-hand Lance! It has hyper armor on its L1 for whatever reason.
I love to use main hand Godfrey's Axe, and off hand Lance. Very fun & effective combo. You should try it!

@@Kryptnyt as far as im concerned its not a bug. Its not a chainsaw. Theres no hoops you have to jump through, you use a weapon fully as intended in that respective slot.
The beast champions great hammer & moonlight greatsword uniquely gets a one handed r1 true combo. Some weapons just have a random value turned up and it makes a difference. Doesnt mean its a glitch.
Unintentional? Sure i can see that. But a bug? No.
Would love to see a necromancer theme build. Rosus axe, family heads (low key super powerful), rancor, tibia summon etc. Maybe a spooky grim reaper scythe for the obligatory black flame tornado

Those first two guys were really good.
Stormcaller is an ash of war you kinda have to bait someone into running into. Most ppl run into that first stun, then the damage on the second hit is amazing.

Offhand with katars, the wizkishi or the glintstone Kris have gotten some interesting surprises. I've been experimenting with Estoc weapons too

Man loving your content! Finished the only level up through pvp and am on video 239 of "elden ring pvp" (lol might have a problem but seems like a good one to have). An idea just occurred to me. In your elden ring level up through pvp series you said you wanted to do it again with some adjustments. I liked the adjustments you mentioned, it made sense, an idea I had was to also have taunters tounge on permanently. Itd be cool to see what TheBro does when HE is being invaded lol.

Giza's Wheel/Cleanrot Sword & Rotten Avatar Staff/Antspur are both very fun setups on my higj level quality build.
I love off-hand weapons. Just having the ability to extend or expand upon a weapons moveset rules.
I have great success with an off hand Curved Greatsword the hitstun is great enough to set up some funky pseudo combo and roll catch potential.

Grafted Blade Greatsword gives you a 5 second long Endure, you can pair that with a piercing weapon like Rusted Anchor in your left hand

I'd like to see you try an offhand Curved Greatsword and a main hand dagger. I've fought a player using that with cold infusions when doing the Varre quest invasions and it seemed surprisingly effective.

My favorite is with the zweihander in the main hand, and a great curved sword in the left hand, u can true combo with a crouch poke into a basic L1, it melt the health bar and break posture with ease

I’m left handed so I always try to optimize a left handed character, ds2 did it the best, even with different 2h animations if you 2h your left hand item

You should try main hand Celebrant's Cleaver and offhand Halberd. Cleaver has a great chasedown and is really fast with the R1. Halberd is good for poking and spacing. I find a lot of people don't know what to do,since it has a lot of varitey . If you pair both of them with a good AoW it makes for a really fun playstyle.

I also wonder how effective offhand whips can be too. The way the shamshir works made me think off handing weapons that have unique r1s can have effective mixups offhand. This way of playing ER reminds me of armored core, maybe some crossbows can be also a good offhander.
16:50 the idea to gravity pull an enemy into range of the moonveil (or a different attack) is an idea that could maybe make a decent video
The meta used to be daggers in offhand and that was really good against aggressive people

Hey Chase, not sure if you’ll read this but I need a small suggestion. Is it worth upgrading the godskin’s blackflame tornado weapon? It uses regular stones and not somber, not sure if it’s worth in the long run.
Not Chase but have an answer. You can get infinite amounts of all regular smithing stones except for the one used to upgrade to +25. I'd say focus on another weapon until endgame, but if you've already cleared C. Farum Azula then you should be good to get whatever you want to +24 completely safely.

I have only been using weapons that require somber stones since I have the bell bearings for it. I’ve already beat the game.
@nakiangoderich3014 theres bell bearings for the regular ones too. A +24 weapon is plenty powerful, and you can get all of them to 24 once you have the bell bearing and some runes to spend. It's worth tracking them all down.
The godskin peeler is a decent weapon. The black flame ash is a pretty good ash of war

I've watched for a long time, and only played elden ring 1/2 through. How do you have infinite or seemingly infinite materials? At least a whole bunch of the stat changing items? I'd love to know how to change builds more often.
