I just got my new Maverick 5 days ago. LOVE THIS THING! It’s FANTASTIC! BUT….. the things I DON’T LIKE are: 1) Can’t watch TH-cam or movies on the dash screen. (Waiting for kids at their activities is boring!). 2) The screen needs to be able to TILT! 3) the Power Window controls are too far forward on the door.

Traded in my 70k custom GMC AT4 for a loaded Maverick Lariat FX4. Absolutely no regrets, the Maverick saves me almost 900/ month in gas, car insurance, and monthly payment. It does everything I need a truck to do.
I got the same gator cover because of your videos. I love it and it only took 10 minutes to install if that. Tailgate assist i will install next week. Thanks for your help and information.

I have an xlt on order but had to get the drop in liner and not the spray on. I am not in construction so it should be fine. How much was this cover? This I need to get to keep the bed from getting wet and what not. I did not think to order it. My first pick up truck.
I got a XL Hybrid. Very happy with my purchase. 24K out the door paid. I added wheels from a Bronco Sport for $300 bucks and doing small mods here and there. Cruise Control is my next addition.

I did see a FE at one of the dealers near me here in Wa....it was painted in that Rapid Red color , I think that color is only available with a FE mavericks.....beautiful color wish it were available in all trim levels.

I have the first edition, lariat lux package, 4k tow, ecoboost awd, and I love it! It is exactly what I have been wanting. I wanted a nice small truck with the features this provided without paying $60,000 or more which is easy to do nowdays. While I know a maverick is a maverick I personally found the difference between the xlt and mine to be so significant that they almost seem like different models entirely. And while mine cost more upfront I've never regretted buying a nice model of a vehicle and enjoying it while I own it because I also realize that I can always sell it for more than the base model when I'm done with it. If the payment is the only thing you are worried about mine is a bad choice but if you want an all around luxury feel without the luxury price and you like the maverick I would recommend the lariat or first edition if it is available.
Last week I ordered my front wheel drive 2.0 eco maverick - carbonized grey - xlt - sunroof - full size spare- standard tow package -and tailgate lock - all for around 26000 - can’t wait to get it in about 6 months. - first thing I’ll do is get under coating - paint rims glossy black and add xlt decals to bed area - thnx for sharing your vids

I had my order submitted for an Eco boost 12/7/21 and I just got my build date this morning, 3/28/22. Sadly, I will most likely sell the vehicle when it arrives, or keep it for a few months, and then sell it.
@@cs92lx I went with a Bronco build. The Maverick is a great truck, that's the only reason. Shortly after ordering the Maverick I changed my mind and switched to a Bronco build. Guess my dealership never cancelled.....well they will have a Maverick XLT marked up for sale soon enough. SMH
My gator cover finally got here this week and man it’s such a bargain…. So light, easy to put on and with the tailgate gasket I don’t have any light creeping in on first install (it was on within 10 minutes of the delivery driving dropping it off)
I love my 2022 Maverick FX4 XLT AWD in area 51 but I wish I had spray in bed liner, heated seats and heated steering wheel, I did purchased a $20 heated cushion from amazon and it works. I did get a folding tonneau cover from Ford and I used my rewards towards the purchase and I'm happy with it. I've had my Maverick since October and I'm totally happy with it overall. Love your video's!!! I really love the hybrid but need AWD where I live, the AWD is amazing in the snow and couldn't be more happier.
Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. I did get an order in recently prior to the cutoff date, no markup and a refundable 500 deposit submitted. There is a good video of a very thorough DIY process a guy made on a new grey maverick of him rust proofing the cavities underneath, unibody frame, even inside the door bottoms, etc. I can't remember the title off hand but it is very good and informative. I ended up ordering a 2.0 FWD, XLT in Alto Blue with luxury pkg and CoPilot 360. Plenty for my needs and wants. I'm in no rush and don't expect to hear anything for months but thats ok. I'm kinda in the same mindset as you when it comes to doing things myself and and adding things as I see a need. I do like the bed cover you have.
I’ve mentioned before I ordered a hybrid xlt maverick with no markup but do you think or has anyone experienced a market adjustment during pickup of there new maverick? My wife wants a new Chevy Tahoe but refuses to pay a 5k market adjustment to get one….we will wait as long as it takes! I'm looking at potentially getting a truck sometime this year and came across your channel. I've been enjoying your series on the Maverick as it seems to be a really good all around type vehicle. What part of VA are you located in, as some of the areas look familiar (I'm in VA too). Keep up the good work.
Great content sir! I considered ordering a Maverick but really wanted to see one in person first. I was a bit obsessed with finding a dealer with one on the lot without much luck. There are probably fewer than a dozen total in 4 states (IN, IL, OH, KY). I drove through a small town in Illinois last week for work and believe it or not, the dealership had one. It wasn't listed on the Ford dealer inventory. I ended up back there the next day and bought it. It is a Lariat-First Edition in Area 51. It is certainly more than I would have ordered. I would have done the XLT lux with FX4 and moonroof but the First Edition basically covers that. You don't get as many drive modes without FX4 (mud, sand, etc.) just "Slippery" but I doubt that is an issue for me. I would not have done the Lariat lux but I have to admit that the brown/bronze interior and "leather" has grown on me. I also like the black roof and mirrors and the graphics make it even more unique. First 500 mile impression is that it is awesome. Fast, powerful, comfortable, no performance complaints. Yesterday I delivered a 600 pound piece of equipment to a customer outside of Chicago and couldn't tell it was in the bed. No problem on the interstate or surface streets. I was lucky to come across this truck and feel bad for those that have ordered and get delay after delay. Maybe I'll put come content up after the storm this week.
I had the top of my windshield tinted when I had the sides done, and it helps so much with sun glare. I’m not 100% sure what it’s called, but I call it sun shade tint. It’s something you may like..I sure do.
We used Adams graphene ceramic kit on our 2020 Edge. So happy with that that I bought another kit to do our new maverick soon as the winter weather breaks. That stuff is an awesome kit for about $100. Took me and my son 2 hours to treat my wifes car.
Xlt Comes with power mirrors, xlt luxury package comes with heated seats and heated body colored power mirrors, heated steering wheel, heated wiper park
FE is a package added to the Lariat with Lux. It includes optional wheels standard, sunroof, bedcover the side and hood graphics and black roof and mirror caps. I was going for the XL with no option in Oxford White. I ordered the RR Hybrid. The optional tires and sunroof, alone Are the cost of the FE package. Like you were saying, I don’t think the value is there for the FE EB. If I had to get the EB it would have been the FWD too.
I wanted a lariat, but overall the biggest selling point to me were the leather seats, and daytime leds. Not worth it to be honest, and it's sad that the base is about 12k less or more than a lariat with a awd.
I was just reading this morning the decals on the first edition and the FX4’s are coming off in the car wash and under water pressure. I myself didn’t put money down on the Mav because it’s a bargain (although to me it is at 38.4K). I drive a 2019 Ford Transit Connect cargo van to haul my stuff (no AWD). For me, I’ve been wishing for a small truck for years that has AWL, can fit in my garage, and tow my trailers, and with decent mileage (unlike my Supercrew F150). Mav’s got all the boxes checked.
I'd like to buy a used one some day as a second car. I was looking at getting one, but after options, mine would be low 30s, so I put a deposit down on a Tacoma instead. But I'd like to one day get a mav as a second, gas sipping vehicle.
The FWD Maverick has a different rear suspension that gives it a bit more payload from what I gather. The AWD Mavs seems to have a few hundred pounds less. Perhaps that is because of the AWD components adding weight? Can anyone comment on how the different suspensions in the different versions affect the drive experience?
The weird Storage box next to the radio I could see my wallet there a long drives every review they seem puzzled about the box everyone needs an extra box
I my wife lovers hers for her flower delivery service. She purchased a top for $300. I like my 2009 Mini more though. I am glad Joe Biden is supporting Fords LGBT equal rights.
How does the truck cover handle the snow fall? If it is a lot of snow- does it cause any sort of sagging or damage from the weight falling on top of it?

I was going for the XL with no option in Oxford White. I ordered the RR Hybrid. The optional tires and sunroof, alone Are the cost of the FE package. Like you were saying, I don’t think the value is there for the FE EB. If I had to get the EB it would have been the FWD too.
Hope Maverick will prove itself as a reliable car in two yrs... Maybe by then I would've saved enough for one or won't have to pay MSRP for a Ford...
Also... the First Edition Opt Detail can still be Seen under Build & Price Lariat

How does the truck cover handle the snow fall? If it is a lot of snow- does it cause any sort of sagging or damage from the weight falling on top of it?
I had one on an old truck. They held up well and did not collapse under the weight. 1 to 2 feet of New England snow.
I had about 7" of frozen snow on top of it and it didn't affect it at all.
