Fun fact: when Sade signed her original record deal, instead of accepting an advance from her label, she chose to play the long game and receive a higher-than-usual percentage of the royalties instead (something like 25% of each unit sold). So she's made even more money than another artist with the same amount of success would have. That's why she's been able to go away for years at a time without taking any real financial hit - she is RICH. A savvy businesswoman on top of all her talent!

Sade is one of those artist that doesn't have to have an album out to be embraced. Her first release in the 80s still resonates today. Not many can be out of the spotlight for decades and still have as strong of a fanbase as she does.

I have all of her albums. One of the finest women I've ever laid eyes on.
My favorite band/artist. Sade has this sex appeal and elusiveness that is unmatched. Their music always gets me through the rough patches of life. Love Deluxe and Promise are my favorite albums from them and arguably one of the greatest to be ever made.

No other artist was ever LOVED by both fans and critics. Her songs were just unique when listening to it you think, "This song is not going to be famous. I must be the only one who likes it" but since it came from such a genuine soul, nobody could escape it.
Nothing but respect to Sade for putting out hits. Paradise is in my playlist, Love Deluxe is still a fire album till this day.

I saw Sade live in concert and I can tell you all ... I was starstruck as fuck 🤩 ... and that happened only 3 or 4 times in my concert life. Ms. Adu has an aura that is incredible. Also, the show was an absolute treat visually and musically. The band was too good to just be in the background. I hope for a new album/tour very soon. I know they only come out when they want to, but 13 years is a hell of a long time.

Her longevity and continued success is really incredible. Her music cannot truly be labeled which I believe makes it more timeless. Soul, jazz, electronica, rock, latin; it's all in there and it doesn't sound forced or inauthentic. I hope she drops the new record this year but wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't happen until next year. It's been said the pandemic put the brakes on the release. Understandably so since it was practically impossible to tour in 20 and 21. Been a true, blue fan since 84 and saw her live in 93.

Sade Adu is the singer of the band Sade, it’s not some solo act. And yes there great.
You will notice that the band Sade @SadeOfficial didnt want me connected to Smooth Operator and replaced me in the video of the song and also didnt invite me to play the drums at the BBC TOTP's show. They did this by getting Dave Early (session drums) to overdub my original drums
Sade is going to be inducted into The Rock Roll Hall of Fame this year❤🎶
