I’m a retired painting contractor. Probably sprayed a million gallons in my time. Never painted a car. Im painting my old Chevy truck with epoxy primer and single stage acrylic. It’s white. If it looks half as good as that car I’ll be very happy. Outstanding work.
I sat down and watched this from start to finish since I did not want to create any dust.

Because you see the sharp change from the beginning and the end product looks gorgeous. It's like when you powerwash a very dirty brick sidewalk.

That is the exact color I have been dreaming of since the 90s. Would pay to see it in the sun
It's nicer with a gold base...a much richer colour. Silver under Brandywine looks closer to candy apple. I looked at the thumbnail shot and thought it was a candy apple...or a car with only two coats of Brandywine.

That is an amazingly beautiful color! My favorite is black cherry pearl. If I ever get my dream car, a 1969 Mustang Mach I fastback, that's my choice

I had a 99 civic ex hatch painted in this very same exact color well twice i guess... lol funny story my close friend painted cars for yrs then ran a house oainting crew and painted it on side with no booth so he paints it & i stop when he wrapped it up and when im 5 min. Away theres massive rain cloud heading right for it while sitting outside & of course his phones not on him & damaged entire thing... it had all shaved handles & big godly rear roof wing as well as a hatch wing, but damn it looked amazing & sample doesnt do this color justic nor does video... it turned out badass but not after few yrs seems it started too fade almost like pink now if there's a way too keep it looking this way I'd do my truck in it also...
As for this car damn nice job my friend it turned out killer no doubt...
Glad brandywine is back I remember this color was a favorite of mine back in the late 80s looking at hot rod magazines
Great Technique Brother!! . He’s explaining shooting panel in its entirety. This is done to avoid the famous tiger stripes. You can see tiger stripes on silver vehicles done by an amateur in the direct sunlight. .
Just WOW! That was fun to watch and love the commentary throughout... even though I'd have to watch it 40 times to memorize all the details to even think of creating a masterpiece like that!

This is what I always wanted to do. I wish there had been youtube in 1975! The reason car painting gets a bad reputation is the number of man-hours needed to do it right. Only those with disposable income can afford this level of expertise. Or corners must be cut. You did a beautiful job!

This is the love we all expect for our ride to get when we are in need of a paint job. But this is not what we get when we take it to our dealer. There's no search for perfection pure out of love for the work. Nice to know there's still some out there...

Get a job as a body shop helper..move up from there
My cousin started as a body shop helper for my uncle and moved up to painting cars and now he paints planes for Delta Airlines.

Somehow this popped up in my recommendations but I’m glad I watched. Something about this shade of red and the front end makes me think of Corvette Summer.

There is a reason to pay a Premium price for a premium job!!! My last pro street build , I helped my painter from day 1.....the prep is everything!!! I did get a deal lol but in the big scheme of things...i worked my ass off and now know to appreciate the process and the price that comes with that!!!Hell we had my 88 mustang coupe apart in pieces 4 or 5 times before we ever laid the triple black on!!! Never sanded so much in my life!! This guy is amazing and explains very well.
So very satisfying to watch. My wife says im easy to entertain. Well to me, this is my fishing 'nothing' box. This and watching Machining videos are just satisfying to watch.
I learned from watching Kandy Man that the bumpers etc that are on the side should be in the same orientation that they will be when installed on the car when shooting metalics. That way the metalics will lay down in the same orientation and look right when the parts are reinstalled on the car.

Probably the best candy brandywine job I've seen I have an 87 Iroc I want to repaint in this color with gold emblems and gold wheels. This looks fabulous.

My first candy job was House of Colors, candy apple red on a 78 Corvette. I sprayed it using a Binks #7. That should tell you how long ago it was. We didn't have gravity feeds back then. I had to respray the hood because a horse fly decided to do a belly flop and then go on a nature walk. Turned out great in the end though.

Accredited red satin which is a Brandywine or murdered red this took a mixing of multicolors which is like a Rembrandt Monet this mix should win the van contest of most beautiful color of cars is a brandy wine which is just absolutely gorgeous

Thats pretty i used to like brick red candy. i was a teenager in the early seventies and my brother-in-law was a painter at a casket company and he had a 1971 Camaro we painted it four different times on Saturday at the casket company before he sold the car and went into the army but that was where i started learning to paint. casket colors were different than auto colors their strange colors.
Goodness. I recall the 90s when HOK Brandy wine and Root beer were the go to. Good video man, nice job on the instructions.

You can tell by how the beauty pops thru, even before the clear is put on.
It has many more layers of depth than what you have already sprayed.

What a yummy result. So, new sales tactic for manufacturers - give us an option to purchase the car in primer only and then a $2K paint credit. We then combine that with whatever is needed to get a REAL paint job from a maestro like you. Yeh, that'll happen ... 🤣

Im so glad to see someone giving some love to a catfish. Ive had my 99' ss since 04' and the last decade has been brutal watching assholes gut them just for the drivetrain. Early 2000s was a great street racing era and 4th gens were king hunting foxbodies and bitch-slapping 4.6s Other then fragging a few 10 bolts and a leaky slave cylinder the car was rowdy n reliable every friday.
