    that start of this video seems like a really cool intro to a retro theme music video or something

    Interesting ideas indeed. As you said, monetization should be done by a optional subscription services, I think it can be done in this way:
    1. Regular players can download and play the game for free, and freely utilize any existing assets (heros) for battling and teambuilding, as well as the ability to create heroes
    2. Points system should be established , and points are given to players to provide a parameter on how good the characters is, depending on community feedback
    3. Subscription equals participation in a pool distribution.
    4. Every cycle has a limited amount of time for player to 'subscribe' and participate in the pool distribution. For example, if a cycle consist of 4 weeks, subscription should start and end on the first.
    4. A pool is obtained from every cycle. The money collected in the current pool will be given to the person with highest point on the NEXT cycle. With this, players who subscribes or plan to subscribe knows how much they will be getting before participation in the distribution.
    5. This ensures and encourages even free to play players to create ideas and heroes.
    Not sure if I am making sense, it's currently 3 am and I'm drunk af and stumble upon your videos

      Great ideas! I didn't think to have a explicit points system, it was gonna be implicit, but seeing point is actually very cool, it can be like a power level in anime haha. And it will define heroes rarity.
      And good thinking on forming the pool before cycle, we could even provide some cosmetic rewards for participation, make people want to "get in" more, gotta abuse that FOMO lol
      I always kinda wanted to allow even non-subscribed players to win, but your option will definitely motivate people to contribute more, it makes way more sense.
      Thank you! Drunk ideas sometime are best ones haha

    The issue with the money thing, is, well, money, meaning legal headaches.

      Yeah true. I am hoping it would be easier with crypto. And hopefully by that time I will have some help with that

    Its weird becasue when you think of dynamic balance in many cases, it seems like RnG is vital for a lot of cases.
    X player is better than Y player, but that doesn't necessarily mean X will always win Y.
    Problem with OP characters in game is that it's X>Y always and there's no room for Y to win. usually you would see a Rock Paper Scissor setup in a lot of games.
    Posion Build > Tank Build > Strength Build > Posison. kind of thing which is good, Rock Paper Scissory oldest game in the book and it works because it's "fair".
    About RNG.
    RnG sucks, so balancing a game where hereos can have a higher percent winrate is pretty good, and winning with an odd setup is super satisfying that's probably ideal.
    The problem with RnG in AutoBattlers is, that the person who wins isn't necessarily the one with the best strategy but the one with the most luck, but i would say to that with the most risk sometimes too. Rolling to get a better item or character, can be considered a strategy, but it's essentially it's gambling right?
    So probably one of the most important things to look into for Auto Battlers is the RnG and how people can create their builds.
    In Terms of Rotation. I agree - with the weekly timeframe... I'm not so sure but I guess depends on the amount of hours you're putting in I guess it would make sense. Casual players will kind of be left behind because if you miss 2 weeks possibly, it probably won't be recognizable (mostly if new mechanics are added) and you'll have to learn the Meta every single time, which isn't really fun to do all the time. Especially in Auto Battlers where you need to play to see what works.

      Good points on rng, and I've been pondering this problem for probably the longest. My current solution is using battle simulations. Since my gameplay mechanics are very simple, I can run hundreds of battles per seconds and just see the outcome. I can test different arrangements of teams and figure out best ones. It comes a lot to specific composition algorithm, some hero may be useless in most comps, but with one specific hero may become extremely OP.
      I mostly use sort of genetic algorithm to figure out the best teams the way player would build them. This accounts for rng problem and finds synergy-powerful heroes.
      This plus popularity stats should be enough I think.
      Those battle simulations allow other very important mechanic: generating new levels infinitely. This will be part of main gameplay of first build, but this explanation is for another video :)

    I love the vision you have for the game, I think the only issue could be when you involve gaining money from playing a game in such a way, it could involve a lot of under handed problems.
    Do you have a plan for bots farm trying to gain money?

    • @makscee
      @makscee  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, that definitely will be the main source of problems. Do you have a specific scenario in mind, where bots could abuse the system?

      Couldnt people essentially make a bot farm that plays this game to win money?
      maybe I miss understood but would you be able to gain money from playing the game for free?

    • @makscee
      @makscee  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Alfie-ni7lx You would have to win a competition, there might only be one winner each time

      Yeah but if its free to enter is it possibly cost effiective to run a bot farm to enter as many competitions as possible and possibly win some through a bot that can play the game?
      This is always a big thing i think about when wanting to make a game with money involved.

    • @makscee
      @makscee  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Alfie-ni7lx yeah may be, but then, as someone in comments suggested, we could just make participation available only with subscription. Then it's like trying to win lottery by buying dozens of tickets.
      But still we could not require subscription for those who create content

    Ngl most popular and strongest aren't exactly the same. There can be noob traps, options that have a high skill seiling, niche options ect.

    • @makscee
      @makscee  หลายเดือนก่อน

      If we have clear info on which heroes get to later levels, it would force certain meta and people would chose "winning" heroes pretty quick. In this type of games eventually people figure out what is strongest and game becomes stale.
      If it's purely pvp, each person will see to what heroes they lose, and best strategies just emerge spontaneously

      You can drop me an email!

    I dont like the money part. If the game is fun and creating heroes is fun, people will do that

      What exactly do you not like about it? I think of it as a fun competition for a prize, not a main motivation for content creation
