Stunningly Gorgeous RM you really out did yourself with restoring this 250 this is one of my favorite year of the RMs will always love the yellow and blue brand!
1989 250B class. Got a new RM and had Bobby Barr out of North Carolina work the cylinder. The bike was absolutely the fastest 250 I ever rode and I rode 2T 250s through 2002.
Beautiful build dude. I’m working on a 92 kdx200. Having some troubles finding some of the plastic parts so the search continues. Keep up the great work it inspires the rest of us
@@jkiseracing 👍, I’ve got a 93 Cr 250 fully restored with some trick bits. It even has a restored Noleen ex chamber on it. I’m only mentioning this because of how hard & time consuming it is to complete a project like this. Not cheap either. So well done once again mate, one of the best 89 resto’s I’ve seen. I’m pretty sure I seen another one of your builds, it was an 86 or 87 Rm 125 if my memory serve’s me right. It was another outstanding build, top shelf. Thanks for the reply, i look forward to seeing more of your future project’s.
Sweet build man. I agree with you on oem cables if you can. The motion pros seem not so good honestly. They make other good products but oem cables seem to work best. And ODI grips are top tier!
We call that thing the yellow CR I think UFOs the only company except Myer that makes plastic, I wish UFO would make fuel tanks for vintage bikes, and not those ugly desert fuel tanks just the stock size Jimmy, your bike is beautiful, Donnie Schmidt and Guy Cooper would love it.
Hey man I believe you can get a clarke tank in a couple different colors. The stock looking tank..not ugly-a$$ desert tank. It prob is for certain models unfortunately 😕
Hey man I’m building a 89 Rm250 rn and would love to know where you got the fork guard adapters as those are 91 fork guards and I can find OEM 89 ones. Thanks truly appreciated.
I actually get that question a lot. I found someone in a facebook group that makes those. I still have his contact information I think. Are you a part of the 89 through 91 RM group on facebook?
Nice Bike, but I see parts with hammer marks. I make new parts on my lathe, and turn parts down to remove damage!- You really cannot restore a bike without a lathe.

89 -92 were very good years for the RM250 I think! Great bikes for sure
Stellar build. They were outstanding bikes in their day.
Absolutely amazing rebuild, simply the best ever seen.
Thank you!!

Thanks for the kind words! Good luck on that KDX. I absolutely love those bikes still today!
Excellent build. Building an 03 RM85 and im a KR #94 fan. Like the blue and yellow as well. Kudos
NICE!! 2 strokes..make motocross great again!
Agreed!!
Beautiful bike! I just started my first restore project. I picked up a 1987 rm80. It is a blast to ride and restoring it was more fun
Great to hear! Good luck on the restore! Those are getting harder to find too.
Doing an 03 RM85. It was locked up tight at the crank. Gd luck
That thing is absolutely gorgeous!! Excellent work man!
Thank you!! It was quite a transformation
Thats my favorite color scheme and years 89-92 looks amazing
Thanks! Mine too!
@@jkiseracing love watching camel supercross on TH-cam alot
Thanks for bringing it to the NASHVILLE TN SUPERCROSS IT WAS AWESOME AND I LOVE IT AND WAS ABLE TO GET SOME PICTURES OF IT
Thanks Tim! Glad you were able to see it in person. I really enjoyed Nashville and it's not too far of a drive for me.
Absolutely stunning bike thanks for sharing
Thank you!
Beautifully done!!!
Thank you!!
Starting it is always a must!
I started this one in another video.
Beautiful, one of my fav’s. Great job mate 👍.
Thanks!! Appreciate it!

Sweet scooter man ..be proud
Thank you!! I definitely am.
We have an 89 Desert Bike and the Muffler looks like our Richter Performance.
Had an 89. Tall, beefy awesome sounding & great looking year.Stock would beat the CRs low & mid.Came up tad short top end.
Wow

Thanks! Yep, oem cables always seem to fit best and never a guess on correct length, you know they'll be spot on.
The only thing I see it’s missing is a camel supercross sticker. It would match the color scheme perfectly.
For sure! Ive used those on some other builds though.
Wish it had works pipe on it some works foot pegs and roczen ripped it like that old honda video he did
What would a classic of that perfection sell for?
Another beauty Jimmy. As always. What tires did you decide to run on this bike?
Thank.you sir. I used Donlop MX33s on this bike.
@@jkiseracing Can't go wrong with mx33's. I run mx33 on rear and at81 dunlops on the front of my 92. Great job saving this one. 💯
Looks like a DEP pipe

Sometimes Polysport is an option IF ufo isn't. I lean more towards UFO plastic though as long as it's available
@@brainstain22 yeah I tried Clark on an 84 500 and it was gross. I got a 90% restored 89 CR250 and the fuel tank is so so.
@@jkiseracing got UFO all over my 89 CR250 and that sucker faded like a pair of blue jeans.
@Workerbee-zy5nx I'm needing a tank for a 99' cr80 build. I can't justify spending that much on a prettier tank though.

Do you know what seals are used for the exhaust? Cheers
Do you mean the seals on the exhaust itself where it goes into the cylinder?
Where can we see what you may be selling?
Either one of my social media pages. Jkisercustommx
How much did you sell it for?
I sold it to someone in Australia so the exchange rate is much higher than the US.
Are you selling it
Sold already
Okay well I heard you mention Georgia I live in Georgia so that's why I asked love the old 2 strokes keep me in mind Im looking for a nice rm
Sure will. Building some others now but not RMs this time.
I've noticed you do not differentiate Between the word on and own. You use the same pronunciation for both words. Weird dude.
Must be that southern English! :)
Silencer looks like a DMC unit
Good call. Very well could be!
