    Let me know in the comments below if you use the Echo PE 2620S straight shafted edge trimmer in your lawn care business.

      Looking to get one because my curved trimmer is making me hunch over too much because of my height... Just pinched my sciatic nerve for second time this year after edging with the trimmer. Can't believe how expensive these are however. Might have to get one used. Just a homeowner but PE225 looks kinda underpowered and flimsy so have to step up. Hope yours works well for you!

    I just bought the echo edger today. I was so excited to used it. When I finally turned it on it was leaking gas and oil through the wires that connect to the gas tank

    What is that you have around your boots? I'm assuming it's something to keep the grass out.. what's it called and where did you get it?

      You are correct. My wife made them for me but I’ve heard them being called “gaiters”. I know I’ve seen a company make some that were similar but larger. The company was called comfort trim. If you google that those ones should pop up. Thanks for watching.

    Can you do a video on how to out the gas and oil? Do I put the oil directly in the gas tank then put the gas in?

    • @LawnCareBusinessSuccess
      @LawnCareBusinessSuccess  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use a 1 gallon gas can or Jerry can as they are called. I use the small little oil mix containers. I believe they are 2.6 ounces and are the exact correct amount for 1 gallon of gas. So I pour the entire small container in first the fill the gas can with gas. I like to put the oil in the gas can first because then when you add the gas from the pump it mixes it all around and there’s no need to shake it. Then just fill your machine with the premixed gas oil mix.

      I’m not sure. I suppose if you could swap out the head and gear box part for the correct parts it would work possibly. Thanks for watching.

    Are all edger blades the same? (Echo)
    Also, how you keep edge narrow?
    I use string all the time, but got an edger and was having a hard time, on the curve it came out wide, then I tilted my self to the road and edge was narrower, but it sparkled along the way.

    Hey Julio! Hope all is well with you sir, ty for the review, I looked on your page first because I know you are an Echo guy as well. Being that it has been 11 months, what is your opinion on this machine now? I am looking to make a purchase this week and wanted your honest opinion. Thx

      Hey, I think it’s a great machine. I was actually impressed with it yet again yesterday. I had a new customer with very overgrown edge that I thought might be too much for the edger so I loaded up my walk behind edger as well. When I got to the job I started with the ECHO first to see and it sliced right through it. Had plenty of power. Never even took the walk behind machine off the truck. I’d say go for it. Thanks for watching.

    Would you recommend this for putting in landscape edging? To dog it out the lines

    • @LawnCareBusinessSuccess
      @LawnCareBusinessSuccess  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would probably help. I used it last summer like a sod cutter to cut out patches of lawn that I was going to tear out for a deck project. I traced out the pieces with the machine like you’d see when you buy sod. Long and narrow. Then just put a shovel underneath to pry the up. Worked great. So if all you need is to slice the lawn then sure it would help. You could also put a thicker blade on it for that purpose like the golden edge edger blade for a 1/4” width. Thanks for watching.

    I use the 2620 curved shaft edger. I wish I had the straight shaft though. because the curved shaft sticks to far out of the rack.
    I prefer having a dedicated edger, i only edge with the trimmer when the grounds is wet or damp, because a metal blade will leave mud stains on the concrete.

    • @LawnCareBusinessSuccess
      @LawnCareBusinessSuccess  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I prefer the straight shaft as well for the same reason. It’s easier to transport on a rack as well as for storage. Thanks for watching.

      Possibly. Especially if you use a thicker blade like the “golden edge” edger blade. Or maybe look at something like a ECHO bed redefiner. Thanks for watching.
