I had two clan members go out and never come back because of that swamp downstream of the oasis where the crocodile lives. When I finally had a clan member not only conquer the swamp but outsmart the crocodile and discover everything around it, I actually started making intimidating primate noises and shaking my fist. THAT was an expedition worthy of the cave wall paintings! The clan member lived to an old age and passed away, likely regaling the young ones with tales of his adventures.
Walking around on the ground where the predictors can easily get to you when your combat skill is low is not recommend. Learn to get around in the trees so life expectancy stays high.

@@EarthalienCS yeah i uninstalled the game after I learned that the game will put you in an infinite loop, as soon as you dodge and try climbing, it'll stutter and you'll be forced to dodge off the tree from a tiger, stupid fxckin game
ATS, just a tip for combat, just like altering you need to wait for a little ping sound, then press the button, and remember, no need for panic :) You can also alter a stick into a sharp stick, though i'm not going to tell you how, find it out for yourself.
Trees aren't really great, the point of this game is to learn even if you're combat skills are low. The only way to improve your combat skills and unlock combat nodes is to actually involve yourself in combat not hide in trees.
Hopefully you will collect dead branches, basalt, granite and other items put them into a pile and see what you can make. And I wonder if carrying two kids makes a difference.
Litterally do what you did to counter attack after using graphite to sharpen freshly peeled stick just make sure to push forward while attempting to counter attack
Make a sharpened stick you need a stick and a rock obsidian is the best and make a sharpened stick with it then you will be able to counter attack more effectily and please stop eating all the grass most of it can be alternated into something better for you

Recommend not taking a step outside until you do a few generations changes! Theres so much to do just in the hidden waterfall oasis
So I’m like 11 minutes in the video and I was wondering, in this game, Can you smell animals like the warthog, mamba, etc. or does it have to be exclusively the hearing sense to be able to discover and detect them? Or can you smell them only AFTER you discovered them using hearing. Or are you able to just discover them by smelling too? Can you only detect food sources by smelling and only detect animals (warthog, mamba, tiger, etc) by hearing? If you can detect animals by smelling before or after hearing them then what’s the point of having hearing in the game if you can smell food AND animals but can only hear animals? Wouldn’t that mean smelling is more efficient? I mean I understand WHY they put hearing in the game for both immersive reasons and gameplay reasons. Gameplay wise it is a cool and fun concept, and immersive wise is because obviously apes can hear. But what I’m asking is, if smelling can do EVERYTHING hearing can AND MORE, then is using the hearing sense sub-optimal and is smelling more of an efficient use of your time? By the way I think this game is really awesome and wanted to watch a lets play first to see more of what the game is about, but I just had those questions about the general mechanics of the game. This way you don't pick up a bunch of useless scents as well which take up your time identifying, if there's a sound around you, it's potential danger. Much quicker to identify where any threats are with hearing. Also hearing is useful for finding other apes, if you call out they return the call so you can use your hearing sense to quickly pinpoint them, which again, you could have used smell for but would have to sift through the various scents to find them.
Can’t he just get adapted to the raw meat I mean he’s not human not yet he’s body can evolve and change if u continue to eat it for a bit it just upsets your stomach but if u eat it enough can’t u juts build and immunity to the raw meat
I wish you actually paid attention to the look of your surroundings and the plants and objects. You wouldn't have to keep going into your senses to find food or a certain object, when you could visually identify it yourself.
i mean tbf this game gives the bare minimum info so I wouldn't expect people to get it their very first time. Especially when the game tells you that it's best to avoid attackers, and dodge. You can't even attack first from above or something with a sharpened stick/bone, you can *only* counter attack. Its a very avoidant combat system.
