I have a 2008 Ford escape and my ABS light came on and as soon as I touch the accelerator it kept dying, after weeks of troubleshooting different codes I finally came across this video which told me I should check my tone ring...(Mine was doing the exact same thing)... Through some J-B weld on it and ABS light did go out in under a minute and is running perfect again thank you so much!!!!!!

Loved your video explained and showed very well. Another you tuber did a great job but a comment asked if there were only a front left & right and he answered "yes, thats correct." I commented andsaid ebay shows sensors for 4 wheels not just two. Your testtool monitored 4 so he's wrong. My dash is showing ABS, traction, and brakes. All 3 lights are on. I checked 3 fuses, brake fluid, plus disconnect/reconnect battery and nothing helped so I'd best order all 4 sensors.

Unfortunately I don't own this vehicle. The speed sensor (OSS) for an automatic transmission is inside the transmission behind what Ford calls the "main control". It's like the valve body. It's a 3hr job for a professional mechanic. If you own a workshop manual it may give you the steps for replacing this sensor.

Hi how did you know which side to replace ?
Each wheel speed sensor will have a specific related code. If you don't have the ability to scan the codes yourself you can take it to your local auto parts store and they can do it there 👍
I successfully removed the axle and replaced the tone ring and replaced it after a good cleaning.

Get a new tone ring too! They're cheap.
@@fabio40 I'm glad this simple solution fixed the problem! Otherwise a new tone ring or CV axle would be needed.
