Hey Kerry, what a nice little gem you found there. However, that train station...that's something else LOL. Didn't know one of those would still exist in Poland. But I'm pretty sure that's not the only one. Looking forward to your next vlog! Dziekuje bardzo 🙂 Mark
Lots of walking today my friend. A different city for sure in Poland. It's amazing how clean everything is along your walk. Interesting architectural buildings. Very charming.
Great conversation with bums in Nowa Ruda. You did great. As you can see, even the bums here are friendly. If you sat with them for a longer time, they would probably offer you vodka or moonshine. So maybe it's even better that you didn't sit down :)

I didnt expect you do this trip - seems to me that Nowa Ruda is not very interesting town, never been there . I am polish. Thats why thak you! I found the center quite nice. But they have to do something with the railway station - looks very bad! But it looks like they was doing som kind of repairs there.

I see that you know Polish spelling rules - congrats! 21:23 If you see a building in Poland with a cross on its top, it must be a church - provided it's not a hospital with this Red Cross sign. :) As you live in Wrocław, you can visit one of similar picturesque towns in the SW part of Poland every week, and your calendar will be full for the next 10 years. :)
CIA uses a language difficulty ranking to assess how challenging different languages are for Americans to learn. Polish, like Russian, Hebrew or Greek, requires 1100 hours of study to reach professional working proficiency. For comparison, the easiest languages, like Italian or Spanish, require about 600 hrs, and the hardest ones, like Japanese or Chinese, require 2200 hrs.

I live 5 km from Nowa Ruda. What a surprise mate! Nowa Ruda is rather abandoned town, not many people left after all industry (coal mining) collapsed. It is famous for leftists writer Olga Tokarczuk, but local right-wing football hooligans don't like her here. Tourists rather avoid Nowa Ruda or only visit coal mining museum. You should go to visit nearby Góry Sowie where I do live.
Yes, read about Project Riese, its a german project which they wanted to make during the ww2. Its under góry sowie. You should definitely check this out and learn some history bro, about german nazis. The whole project is located in many locations around góry sowie in lower silesia, so take your time to check everything, one of them is Zamek Książ. My favourite place to visit is Sztolnie Walimskie which I really recommend to see its in city Walim and also in Osówka. Good luck brother its really nice place if you are interested in history and what did germans did to Polish people during ww2.
I was born in Neurode. Most of the buildings were built by the Germans. It hasn't changed much since then. Some look just as dilapidated as when I left Poland. And they drink the cheap beer - Tyskie.
@@TravelAddictGuy Not too far from Wrocław, Kudowa, Duszniki, and Polanica. Very nice and beautiful small towns. You can find films made in those places on youtube.
