AMERICAN Visits a CHRISTMAS MARKET in POLAND. | Wrocław
This year the Christmas Market in Wroclaw Poland is even bigger and better. Come with me as I visit the Polish Christmas Market and try the mulled wine (Gluhwein) and some Polish Kielbasa. The lights of the market really put you in the Christmas spirit as well as the beautiful Christmas tree. There are tons of market stalls selling all types of goods and food. There is nothing like the experience of Christmas Markets in Poland.

What's a SHOPPING MALL in POLAND like?

Today I'm going shopping at factory outlet on the outskirts of the city. It's a bout 25 minutes by car from the Main train station in Wroclaw, Poland. As a Polish living in the northern part of Poland, I love Wroclaw. It's a very vibrant city, and it's constantly growing. In the city center there are literally no empty / abandoned places to rent (for a business), no graffiti etc. I mean, this is quite normal for most big Polish cities such as Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk, Wroclaw. All are growing, expanding etc. Even if you go far away from the city center, market square the buildings may be old, not painted / renovated, some may remember even war or XIX century, but it's clean, safe. I mean, 10 years ago I started to travel - i saw many beautiful places, but over time, many of these places degraded, while in Poland it's actually quite the opposite. Many places, or districts within the cities, that used to have a bad reputation are now safe, hip etc. We don't have hmm drug dealers or shady people standing half day in same spot trying to rob you etc. Sure, nearby train station you can find one or few drunk, homeless people but it's literally 0,000001 % from the whole population. If you leave / forget something in the coffee shop, there is a pretty high chance that when you get back, it'll still be there. Wroclaw benefits from great pool of students (biggest univercity city in Poland) - that's why it's always lively. Sure, if you live in Wroclaw for your entier life, your perspective may be a bit different (ie. you would like to move to capital city - Warsaw), it's not as international as for example Warsaw but still it's a great city (with plenty of Asian, Ukrainian, Indian people). It's great city for the people who feel that Warsaw is "too big" :) one (big) downside may be the weather. We used to have great, nice winter for like 2-3 months (like -5 degrees, dry air, sun, blue sky, like at the mountains) but it was like 20 years ago xD Now the climate changed and starting from october, november we tend to have "inifinite autumn" aka grey weather ;p that lasts till hmm march. On the other hand, if you go to the market square, city center, there are so many shops, lights that it doesn't feel that bad ;) But yea, we also travel to Asia or Southern Europe to get some sun ;)

I think what you wrote describes Wroclaw perfectly. It's one of the best cities in Poland and it's getting better every day. Thanks for sharing. 🙏🏻

Comparing to Los Angeles where all businesses are closing and streets looking like in the walking dead Wrocław is a fully booming city. In addition luckilly its not German because it would look abandoned and of Los Angeles type walking dead city as for example German Krefeld :D

It is a booming city, very safe and not full of drug addicts.
