  • I test and compare 4 different Light Metallic Blue plastic model lacquer spray paints from Tamiya and Testors. Which should I use for my Tamiya Honda S2000 model kit?
    I test:
    Tamiya Pearl Light Blue (TS-58)
    www.scalehobbyist.com/catagor...
    Tamiya Brilliant Blue (TS-44)
    www.scalehobbyist.com/catagor...
    Tamiya Light Metallic Blue (TS-54)
    www.scalehobbyist.com/catagor...
    Testors Icy Blue (1844)
    www.scalehobbyist.com/catagor...
    You can buy any of these from www.scalehobbyist.com
    What should I test and compare next?

    Finally a video that actually shows the colors and their different shades! Just picked up a Kotobukiya Megaman X model kit for Christmas and am looking for the right shades of metallic blue for me. Appreciate the video!

    Been using testers spray paint on my gunpla for years that ice blue looks wicked over that black but light base color looks amazing with the lightning white they offer put the white over it and it's like a metallic powder blue

    Prototypical colors 1st and 3 rd ones. Favorite, Icy blue on white spoon. My experience with Testors. Undependable results. Always something. Might be just me.

    • @weekendhobbyist
      @weekendhobbyist  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thanks for subscribing and the comment. I don’t think you have to but if you want a different hue you might want to use a darker or lighter primer as a base coat. It also depends on what color the plastic is. When in doubt do a spray test first.
