Honestly playing more IS a great step in improving. I’m now able to keep up with the speed of tracks .5* higher than a week ago , from getting used to HR DT FCs on .5 lower
i loved this video, and honestly, that poll made me reflect on why i still play osu! after... 6 years? yeah, not that long. Now that i think twice about it, i've realized that it's probably the game i have the most fun in (and it's not even for ranks!! ranking up is the thing i do the least in osu!). My brain probably LOVES the amazing songs that this game has to offer, and also the feeling of self improvement that no other game has ever given me. (/^-^)/ I also find it stupid that i first found out osu! existed through a random youtube video with 5 views in 2015. Haha. I'll play this game forever :D
You probably have one of the best teachers in the world xD Or actually not, I had a French teacher which let us make a video about anything we wanted, as long as it was in French. I didn’t thought about doing something like that, I just made a cooking video lol…maybe I should have thought more. At least I got a 1+ which was probably the only time I got such a grade in French, I nearly fail one class because of French, so you can imagin what my grades looked normally.
@@Long-Horse Nah, I got around with a 4 or 3 at the end of every school year, but languages where never my thing, even in German, my native language, I made so many spelling mistakes lol
I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as OSU!, is in fact, osu!. The game has an all-lowercase name, mirroring its creator Dean "peppy" Herbert's habit of avoiding capital letters online. In a similar vein, many components of the game and related projects also have lowercase names, such as pp, the four gamemodes (osu!standard, osu!taiko, osu!catch, and osu!mania), and lazer. Due to many people habitually capitalizing the first letters of given names and being unfamiliar with names containing punctuation, this game is often incorrectly called "Osu!", "Osu", or even "OSU!". There really is an Osu! - the name is an abbreviation of Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan, a rhythm game for Nintendo DS that inspired peppy to make osu!. The circle clicking game people know today is osu!, with three lowercase letters and an exclamation mark.
Ur not the only one who feels that way, sometimes I just randomly improve after not playing for a while, cant rlly say much abt that tho cuz ive been stuck in 6 digit for a year (✪㉨✪)
To people who "hope" this guy got SS grade for the test: In the end he showed that he got 96 out of 100 points, so why hope if you know now. xD And now if I remember well you can't get SS unless you have 100% accuracy in osu! P.S. This video has the best credits I've ever seen. Like, nothing boring on the screen. :O
Actually I felt like mapping making my playing skills going down, is not because it takes the time, but also it “spend” the power of the improvement from playing, which is strange but I would say, mapping is more addictive than playing osu to me lol Or maybe mapping is kind of depends on, some people are really hard to learn while others are pretty easy to learn? I think people like cookeize who is chocomint now is the one hard to learn mapping lol
Great video!. But you missed some info in 1 part. Osu! Is based on a nintendo DS game called Osu! Tatakae! Ounden! The osu! We know is a mod of that game for PC. Obviously the old osu was very simple and didn't have a system like PP. and the maps were very simple as we. the ds game is the inspiration for the kind of mapping we see in the first year of the game
I play for fun. My goal was only to be able to do complete "Insane" difficulty maps. I reached ranked 460k playing semi-casually. Its been over two years now. I go back once in a while when I have free time to play.
So true, time limit was 10 mins tho, I actually had a whole section about financial impact already voiced over but after editing the video was too long :(
Lol, I once did a science experiment for high school testing audio offset and accuracy playing osu and managed to get an A. I also did a presentation about Undertale and thought I would fail but I managed to get a not shit grade.
i am a mania player, i like the game because i like music and the feeling of improvement, but i am also always decaying because i don't have as much time for osu because of work and school, tho i don't plan on giving up, it's still fun to play, just shit to see me losing ranks every day, gaining them back, just to losing them again and so on
