This is like watching the first computer that wins against human at chess
It really does give off that vibe, but I can't help but think about how useless this all is. This is literally a rhythm game. A game of physical abilities. It's pretty obvious that an AI has the advantage of not having physical limitations here.
The craziest part is that in a game of pure skill instead of strategy the human still won several games.
@@danielyuan9862 The AI might not have physical limitations but it has to parse all the content that is on the screen and figure out what is and what is not a good thing to do in-game.
We can do the former because recognizing patterns and responding to them is literally the one thing that shapes our entire minds.
Neuro-sama has to do this in real time and has to train herself after mainly essential input. She uses experimental technology. You have a team of people figuring her out. That is not easy.
edit: most people point to one person figuring her code out. is there a team behind her besides him?

I love how he was so obsessed with overcoming this bot lol. In fact, it keeps improving until it eventually become another auto mod.
It is his only competition right now so he might as well take it seriously. It's also pretty fun to watch them 1v1ing or fighting for #1 so the situation is a win-win for everyone.
It will never become an auto. It uses neural systems, so it is similar to the human brain. Her reaction will never be instant and her boundaries are worse than even human ones.
She just doesn`t have other human weaknesses. She is never nervous, never fear, never distracted. Don`t feel emotions, or the pain, will never become tired.
As a simple example, when boxing, humans can hit *10 times harder than they do, but they will never do it, because our nervous system protects us from self-damage. Another example is fear - it lowers the reaction time by 2 times, at least, because in nature, fear is an instinct that implies you to check the situation, and only then to react. It doesn't care if your fear is purely social.
Humans are inferior. We were adequate in wild nature... and we are not adequate at all, in a civilisation state. It takes another 15 million years of evolution to adapt, tho AI will do many things better by that time. It will soon overcome humans in 90% of its work and doings. Especially primitive ones, like this game.
Also, neurals already can create a symphony, an art etc.

Come to think of it, the more mrekk play, the more tiredness he has since he's human and she's an AI, lengthen the duel only dig a grave for himself.
I think that is why AI will surpass humans not because of better natural processing power but higher activity levels and can train way more at one thing without unproductive breaks. That is 24 hours daily of training while human can do way less than that daily.

Bruh that's nothing. Alpha Zero taught themselves chess in 4 hours and can already beat any human. And chess is a completely intellectual game, unlike osu, which is also physical.

It sounds like an awesome idea on paper until you realize every AI player will be like Neuro-sama unless they are coded otherwise. Would be funny seeing a league of AI vtubers though
@@sayounsang I dont have any knowledge of AI coding but i doubt they would all perform the same due to it mostly being AI learning. But i do see how similar different AI's would get. I do think that the person who creates the best AI can shine

@@abraham9301 The fun in human players is the fact that their skillsets are randomized. Neuro-sama is so popular because she’s literally a neural network with schizophrenia. I personally think it should go the same way that she did, bad at everything at first, but eventually learn how to play. Depending on how common a map is, the neural network could be better at jumps than they are at streams, or better at finger control but bad at high BPM streams. The problem with these AIs is that they’re not limited by the same things humans are, the only reasonable barrier a neural network would have to get over is “see circle, big circle coming in, click when big circle close” and nothing else. Not reading, speed, raw aim or even just muscle memory.

Imo the only thing limiting neuro at this point is her visualization model. It's too smoothed and low res sometimes to catch the really fast hitcircles on stacks. And she has no temporal awareness of her cursor to complete the spins, would help her shaky cursor as well

It would be nice if she could be iterated on with actual human limitations, such as limits on acceleration (and reaction time if that isnt already implemented, although it looks like it might be.) and maybe lower the amount of computation she gets until she is at a reasonable level, then have her improve from there.
In terms of raw computation, humans do much more. We have more neurons passing more signals between each other.

@@MrTomyCJ Humans use much more computation, but the computations in a human brain are much less precise, so to make up for the different way an AI brain evolves, it should have an artificial limitation in terms of lowering compute power
i'm not the creator of the ai so i can't really speak for how the ai works, but i think it takes a screenshot of the **current** screen and then outputs which buttons to press at that **current** moment. it has no memory of what has happened previously, which means that it can't really simulate a "reaction time". (more after 2nd paragraph)
limits on acceleration could work though, just need to feed in the current cursor position and have the ai output its preferred movement (and then clamp the movement speed).
ok so for the part on the "reaction time", you can sort of implement it by only noticing an object when it's opaque enough. this would scale based on the AR however, which isn't representative of a real "reaction time"; we notice an object a set amount of time after it appears.
to notice an object a set amount of real time after it appears, i think that you would need to use 2 ai's and one in-between algorithm:
(1) ai which detects what objects are on screen
- Input: screenshot of playfield
- Output: array of 2d points which determine where hitcircles are
(2) algorithm which "delays" the output of (1)
- Input: array of 2d points
- Processing: pushing the input into a FIFO of length more than 1 and popping the output of it
- Output: popped output from FIFO (which is supposedly delayed)
(3) the actual algorithm which clicks the circles (the one you see), but modified instead to take in the hitcircle positions from (2)
maybe i'm really high and this is all bs, but this is what i think
