    He shouldn’t have kissed her like that but the degree to which this has been overblown is almost laughable. To suggest it was criminal is an insult to anyone that’s been the victim of a sexual assault.

      As a Spaniard, it is not uncommon in Spanish culture for people to be touchy and passionate in celebrations. Jenni joked with Rubiales about the kiss in the dressing room and the bus with the girls. They joked that 'they should go to Ibiza to get married'. Modern feminism has proved with this event to supersede reality and love unfortunately.

    • @LucyKeukens
      @LucyKeukens ปีที่แล้ว +7

      The reason it has been "overblown" is because of the way the initial complaint was handled, in an abusive manner vilifying and trashing the women, which is a reflection of the toxic environment they were in. The best way to deal with a power abuser is not with a criminal charge but with the loss of their power (loss of job).

    • @manuelrodero8764
      @manuelrodero8764 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@LucyKeukens That's not true. It was overblown within 24 hours, before any players or the President said anything, when Pedro Sanche, Spain's Prime Minister asked Rubiales to apologize. And no one vilified anyone. They were joking about it in the bus and dressing room. You can search it up, there's a few videos out there. She even joked about the kiss in an interview with the Spanish press hours after. There's no power abuser. Simply an act of love towards a friend. It's the end of love when people confuse it with power

    The lady nailed it. So are women strong and empowered, and able to serve in the military - or do they have no 'ability to process the devastation' that comes with a kiss on the lips? This was no victim, or assault. This was at worst, awkward. Even then, Jenni was laughing, bragging and joking about a mutual act of affection and elation. That was until the zero tolerance joy patrol we have come to know as the Me Too feminist mob, told her not to. And that some big cash is likely on offer. All we need to do is ruin this man's life and career forever.
    This really insults the victims of sexual assault. And women. And men. Its opportunism. And its nauseating.

      Exactly. I agree that it insults real victims of sexual assault, both male and female to this blown out of all proportion because she's now been told she can get a lot of money in compensation out of this. She should absolutely do the right thing and say it was the moment and everyone was caught up in it and let it go at that. If you look at the video clip of the action, the next man along hugged the hell out of the blonde girl. She's not suggesting for even a second that he pressed up against her in a sexual manner. Are we all supposed to stop all tactile activity because someone hundreds of miles away who has nothing to do with it might be offended when they find out? I am a woman and seriously the younger generation need to grow up and put things in perspective. Yes there are abuses that should never be tolerated but there are also perhaps lapses in judgement where a simple apology for maybe overstepping should suffice. Like one of the panel put it, she had the opportunity to slap him on the spot if she was so grossed out, not wait until after all the celebrations and laughter and bus trip etc when someone else decided she should be offended.

A man kissing a woman does not automatically mean it's linked to a sexual impulse. @@tigertaylor1327 if you're response was meant for me then it's because the answer would highlight an unconscious attitude towards women.
      The poster's son's intentions would've no doubt been good, however, why kiss a girl to show joy at a celebration when he would likely hug or put his arm around a male player in a blokey kind of way?
      To me it's unconsciously saying "I can kiss her because I'm a male and I doubt she'll have a problem with it because she's a female", it feels related to the attitudes that gave us old fashioned gender stereotypes.

I hate the way Piers gets people on his show and doesn't allow them to make their point without being constantly interrupted. Keep up the good work and I'll watch you more often. Taking this to court is a waste of time and money and whatever the outcome it will divide people's opinions.
