Great video. Just used this to fix my 2012. In my case, the wire was not visibly broken, but it was broken inside the insulation. Its important to know that the wires are so thin, they can break, and the insulation may stretch, and not actually come apart.

Thank you so much. My 2008 just did this today. It will shift but it's just shifting without moving from park. I'm very lucky this happened at my house, so I have time to fix it and I'm not stuck.

I tried lengthening the tiny wires but didn’t have any success putting them together.From what I can tell the only way to repair it is to purchase the entire shift arm

Hello Guillermo, I have the same issue, how did you reconnect the cables back to the connector? I have about 4 loose cables

So my black wire is broken too......i just splice into it and ground it to a metal or where did you ground it to?? Looks to hard to put it back into the plug.......lemme know please...gracias

Pues desarma ese cover de la palanca de cambios y chequea que no este algun cable roto o suelto. Ese video que explico solo es para cuando quieres poner el truck manual osea es automática pero tienes la opción de ponerla en 1 2 3 4 y asi cuando presionas en boton
