Some people have big tanks and others take their sweet old time pumping and then leaving, and you could be at the pump and nearly finished by the time those people are done. It's less efficient by wasting the time waiting for the people at the pumps to finish and leaving a pump that isn't being used empty for that period of time.

Most of the gas prices in my area basically within 5-10 cent range of each other. It’s not like SoCal where you can find a station that 30 cents to a $1 range

It doesn't make as much of a difference if all you need is cheap shit fuckin 86 but if you need premium then it's definitely worth it, I've nearly fuckin saved 20 dollars filling up my tank depending on how much lower it was than the ones near me
your fuel pump sits down inside the tank and not just with a pick up tube for a reason, being surrounded by fuel keeps the pump cooler. best practice is not letting it get below a 1/4 tank

If you don’t really go below 1/8 of a tank it’s not a problem since most contaminates would flow at the surface. I was looking at buying a 2017 BMW M4 on the marketplace. He had proof of all maintenance, services, and even had the flaws of the car like the crank hub fixed. Proof of the new motor that had been serviced and installed as mentioned, over 26k in work done on the car in the past year. I go there, find out he still owes 13k on the car and wanted me to take over his loan IN ADDITION to 27k. Said kick rocks and blocked him. I went with a 2017 BMW 340i xDrive for about 22k. Much better car for daily duty, but I did really want that M4.
I took over payments on a truck years ago. Dude was moving states and it ended up being what the truck was worth too so it actually worked out. I put 150k miles on that truck. I miss it. So as I’ve gotten older and a little smarter I probably wouldn’t do it again. But I also take chances. The last 3 vehicles I’ve bought my wife were repos from our bank. Mainly because I get 1% on repos.

You dont have to do that anymore. The reason tanks rusted was because pure gasoline doesn't absorb water so the water would sit on the bottom of the tank and rust it, modern fuels have ethanol added which absorbs water so it mixes into the ethanol and gets burnt by the engine so it doesnt cause problems like rust or sediment in the tank anymore. And every new vehicle has a sump in the bottom of the tank that holds an extra .93 gallons so in my car when the gauge gets to 0 I still have like 30 miles before im stuck on the side of the road. You get premium for regular prices at kroger if you shop there and get some points, the local one has a liquor store inside too so liquor gives you kroger points so they are stupid easy to get for cheap fuel.
I might have OCD or something but in my two vehicles, I have a '97 Ram 1500 and a '99 Nissan Quest and I don't let them get under a half a tank of gas. I did put a fuel pump in the truck almost 11 years ago when I first got it and it's still going so far. If you run the gas tank too low all the time you will burn up the fuel pump. Plus it bugs me if the gas hand gets too low, not sure if that's the best thing but I've put 110,000 miles on my truck so far myself and it has 302,850 miles on it all together, 360 V8 so it's always thirsty.
Oh and on the 2014 Ford Fiesta, if the guy would've taken the money that he modded with, he probably could've paid it off with that money instead. Crazy to spend money on a car that you don't own yet.
