- In this video in the first 5 minutes of fishing I hook up and land a red horse sucker that is 28.5 inchs and 12.3 lbs! Just 4 oz away from the Michigan state record!
Great Stuff! Fun Video!
Wow them suckers fight well.
Awesome fish! They are so fun to catch! Awesome you released it as well. Great video man! And your attitude is what a true fisherman is all about! I hope you land your previous sucker, you definitely deserve it!
Awesome fish man cool catch! You should come up and fish the Omer Suckerfest Tournament with me at the end of the month👍🏻
That’s would be cool! Let me know the date and if I’m free I’ll go 🐟
Nice video🐟🐟🐟
Rodrigo Pascual thanks!
Was trying to ID a sucker I caught today and this is the closest I could get to it, mine had a bit of a hunchback and it was a hair over 26" and 7.12lbs out of Lake St Clair
Crazy that a redhorse bit that lure, let alone a big redhorse like that one.
Hey brad we should go fishing some time
John Maluchnik sure thing dude!
I love your channel Brad. Love the intro. Why do you use such heavy line for steelhead/suckers? I usually use 30lb braid casting for kings in the fall off the piers. For steelhead, usually 8lb-10lb is all I use for main line. Water looks really nice. Ideal conditions. I like a bit of stain to the water. I’m not sure that is a red horse sucker, I always remember them having redish fins and tail. Nonetheless, great fish man.
True North Angler it’s just my go to line cuz I have a lot of northern pike in the rivers I fish and if I don’t run 30 lb braid they steel all my lures lol
The Fisher Brad
That makes more sense. I didn’t know you use that rod for other toothy critters. LOL.
👍 sounds good.
Its a silver redhorse...IDK why he never said that
Awesome
They seem huge this yr. So much fun
Josh h the rivers I have been fishing have plenty of giant suckers in them I average on 2-3 master anglers every time I go sucker fishing
Me also. Absolute riot on the ultralight
Josh h they sure are!
I live close to yale seems we fish the same waters very frequently.
Hey brad do you do you fish for cats at all
Nice video man looks like it was a good fight and gorgeous fish!
Oregon Fishing it sure was! Thanks!
You can catch a ton More with a net
yo brad! this is the asian guy from last year who gave you the swivels, how come you dont ever go to au sable considering you live right there?
rickiex idk I’ve never fished it! If you ever wanna go there and do some filming let me know!
@@thefisherbrad i know of some spots! i was just there last week, water is a bit high but theyre in. its one of the better rivers on the east side. im still at school and have finals next week so i probably wont be able to make it, maybe 2 weeks or so. feel free to dm me for some spots and tips!

That thing is gigantic....new sub here, keep it up!
Thanks dude! Hope you liked it! Stay tuned for weekly uploads!
You caught a sticker on a daredevil?
I caught a gar bigger than me that broke my arm
That’s a grass carp
A real fisherman knows that’s a carp, this kids such a tool
@@tylergriff2221 that's definitely a sucker fish. Not a carp.
Regardless of the species, 12.30lbs vs 12.75lbs is 7.2 ounces.
silver redhorse
Grass carp are not in michigan
Please ask. How many pounds is the biggest sucker fish? "Sucker huge"
