Yesterday my i went to my parents friends house while he was filleting walleyes and my friend found this big chuck of white stuff and he grabs it and wiggle it around until my parents friend said it was walleye sperm and I was dying laughing

A 24 incher in that spillway is amazing, I'd have never thought it and I wish my dad was still alive to see your video, because he'd have never thought it either. I was thinking it when you were putting it back, "Well what is going to happen to it?" It probably will die out there in the spillway. So yea we've got the same thought process, put them back in the main next time, it's the same body of water, you're good. Also, I use those cheap jigheads often (back in the day that's all that were available) and they work just fine. I don't know many people that go shore fishing for walleye, so this was a GREAT video, -PJ

I think they will live just fine underneath the spillway. Walleye live in many rivers and if walleyes fall down the spillway then tons of baitfish fall down it to. If u don’t see any dead fish washed up on the shore I’m sure they r fine living underneath the spillway. Plus if there are not many fish you can see that have died chances are most of the fish under the spillway have spawned down there.

Great job getting on those tough walleyes. Oh John I've found chartreuse colored Jughead work the best they work in almost every body of water in Minnesota north dakota and south Dakota. Chartreuse is a amazing color and works in clear and stained water give them a try for walleye

if you want something kinda healthier, you can cook the fish part way in oil then throw them in the air fryer so that its got less oil on it too :D
